Wir waren eine Nacht auf der Durchreise und wirklich nur zum Schlafen in der Unterkunft. Das Wichtigste: wir haben hervorragend geschlafen! Das Zimmer hatte alles was man braucht (inkl Wasserkocher Instantkaffee) und dazu noch sehr bequeme Betten. An der Rezeption kann man zusätzliche Getränke kaufen. Es gab keine Wartezeit bei den geteilten Badezimmern. Alles sehr sauber. Wir würden wiederkommen!

The property is perfectly located. It’s nothing fancy but with the prices the way they are in Iceland. I think this is just perfectly lovely. The room has twin beds, sink, and mirror, storage for your bags, a chair , nightstands, and a hot pot with teabags and coffee cups. It has a shared bathroom and a shower in the bathroom.There is a very nice dining room. I wish we had not brought so many groceries and had eaten in the dining room for me to be able to give a review. They do have a small group refrigerator and microwave. If you fly into Reykjavík one day, the Guest house is just the right distance. The next warning we got up and went horseback riding Vik, then explore the black beach and there are so many other places to go down south.

De kamers waren erg klein en de prijs was zeer hoog. Ook was er geen keuken beschikbaar om zelf iets te bereiden terwijl optioneel ontbijt en optioneel diner erg duur waren.

Lovely remote guesthouse with great views. We stayed in room 12 with the winter white theme and loved it. Totally renovated. A few hooks in bathroom as well as a mirror in the room would be a good addition. Standard kettle with instant coffee and tea as well as fridge and hairdryer and bathrobes provided in Our room. Bed was comfy. Room was clean. Tracy, the owner was lovely and her dog Nero is the sweetest. We saw the northern lights here and it was out of this world. So many stars and the darkness was magical! They do have a restaurant but it is just for breakfast so need a car as it’s remote. Thank you Tracy for your help!!

Good distance from Vik as well as the ferry. We were disappointed that there were no common dining facilities to eat our dinner as the dining room was only open at breakfast if you paid to get their breakfast. No food allowed in the common tv room either. There is a fridge and microwave but not dishware so bring some if you intend to eat your own food. Room and bathrooms are clean and comfortable and the sink in the room was convenient. The hostess was very nice!

Individuell und gemütlich eingerichtet mit Wohlfühlfaktor, schönes Superior-Zimmer, gutes Frühstück mit frischen Waffeln, freundliche & hilsbereite Inhaber. Sehr ruhig, kostenlose Parkplätze, bequeme Betten. Einziger kleiner Minuspunkt: Dusche brauchte für warmes Wasser sehr lange, geringer Wasserdruck. Wir würden wieder buchen!

The guesthouse location was convenient for our time in the southern coast of Iceland. We spent 2 nights there and had the end room, so there was plenty of light coming into our small room. The shower fixture was not working well, so it was difficult to take a relaxing shower and the room walls were thin, but overall we enjoyed our time at the hotel. We did not buy the breakfast, but it appeared tasty. Parkimg was ample and free. We had to take off our shoes before entering the lobby and our rooms. We were provided comfy slippers or could walk about in our socks.

This was exactly as described. My sister and I shared a double twin bed room with shared bathroom. We never dealt with unclean bathrooms and showers were readily available despite plenty of other guests. The decor was charming and heart felt and the common space was comfortable and inviting. The surrounding area was gorgeous and we got to see the northern lights in the pitch black of the countryside, just hearing the sheep bleeting at us and ocean waves crashing behind them.

I chose the property because it said breakfast was included and there was a restaurant on the property. There was no breakfast or restaurant. They had an area for it but is was closed down. The walls were thin. I could here the person in the next room snoring all night. Closest town was about 15 to 20 minute drive. The online pictures were a little deceiving.

Chambre peu spacieuse. Les murs sont très fin. Le petit déjeuner entre 8 et 9 heures plusieurs personnes ont renoncé à cause de l'heure. Douche avec très peu de débit. On ne refera pas cet hébergement.

Clean motel in beautiful area. Unfortunately the only place you can take advantage of the view is the picnic table in the parking lot. Small window in room with no view of much and the room with all the windows and seating that is advertised is only open for breakfast. Too much money for a bed and a bathroom with poor water pressure.

Exceeded my expectations, friendly host who waited for us since we arrived 20 minutes passed the end of check out time (call ahead though if you’re running late). We stayed in the room with the private bathroom and bathroom was nice (renovated) and very clean. Would stay here again! Only downside was the breakfast was very expensive per person

Great little place to stay and relax. Small rooms but that is to be expected. No tv in room and breakfast is not included which was noted beforehand. A little pricier for what you are getting but overall it was a very comfortable stay.

We stayed in the superior double room with private bathroom and it was lovely. Lots of space, a refrigerator and an upgraded bathroom. It was convenient to Skogafoss, Vik, Cape Dyrholeay where we saw puffins, and the Black Sand beach. This was our first stay in a "guesthouse" and I did not realize we needed to check in by 9pm and call ahead. Of course I was shocked after traveling all day to the southern coast and arriving at 11pm to find an empty front desk with a phone number to call. They were so kind though.

The guesthouse is surrounded by pure beauty of which we were in awe. The host was so sweet and we felt safe & comfortable during our stay. We were satisfied with our room and felt like it met our needs well. It’s a great place to see the aurora, because there is no light pollution. We would definitely return. Highly recommend!

We arrived slightly after 9 pm after calling in a panic. The woman at the front desk was extremely kind and welcoming. We enjoyed our stay there and loved the beautiful location.

Check-in was at 4pm, we arrived at 4:15 to a “closed” sign and no one around. We then drove to the closest town to call, the host answered and told us to come back! The amount of stress we experienced due to the remote location and possibly finding a different “guest house” was not good. We went back and the women at the desk was very nice but lacked any empathy to the inconvenience. We left early to find a particular waterfall and when we return there was a gentlemen who spoke little to no English asking us to leave! Check-out was 11am and we returned to the property at 10am. We quickly showered and left.
Check-in was at 4pm, we arrived at 4:15 to a “closed” sign and no one around. We then drove to the closest town to call, the host answered and told us to come back! The amount of stress we experienced due to the remote location and possibly finding a different “guest house” was not good. Clean motel in beautiful area. Unfortunately the only place you can take advantage of the view is the picnic table in the parking lot. Small window in room with no view of much and the room with all the windows and seating that is advertised is only open for breakfast. Too much money for a bed and a bathroom with poor water pressure.

Good distance from Vik as well as the ferry. We were disappointed that there were no common dining facilities to eat our dinner as the dining room was only open at breakfast if you paid to get their breakfast. No food allowed in the common tv room either. There is a fridge and microwave but not dishware so bring some if you intend to eat your own food. Room and bathrooms are clean and comfortable and the sink in the room was convenient. The hostess was very nice!

The owner is greedy. Requested to remove the shoes at the entrance, but asked ~$35 for breakfast and no free coffee during the day, only Nescafe with dry creamer. Room is small, not all rooms have bathroom in the room. :(

Individuell und gemütlich eingerichtet mit Wohlfühlfaktor, schönes Superior-Zimmer, gutes Frühstück mit frischen Waffeln, freundliche & hilsbereite Inhaber. Sehr ruhig, kostenlose Parkplätze, bequeme Betten. Einziger kleiner Minuspunkt: Dusche brauchte für warmes Wasser sehr lange, geringer Wasserdruck. Wir würden wieder buchen!

Was a small guesthouse about 15-20 min driving distance from the town of Vik. Run by one woman who was very kind. Breakfast was extra and was very limited. When we arrived we were planning to have dinner at the guesthouse but we were told there was no dinner that night and so after a long day we had to drive into Vik to eat. We had to remove our shoes every time we entered. Overall was fine for 2 nights but if I return I would stay in Vik proper.

Personnel accueillant. Chambre tout confort pour 3 personnes, très propre. Le couchage était tres bon. Il manquait juste de la pression à la douche. Un petit frigo dans la chambre serait vraiment bien. Le petit déjeuner est tres bon mais cher (28 euros par personne).

Terrible stay. The room was dirty and strange, the bathroom had barely any water pressure, and the whole place felt poorly run. Breakfast was absurdly overpriced for what you get, and even basic items weren’t refilled. The biggest problem was the owner, who was rude, argumentative, and completely unprofessional when a simple payment issue came up. Instead of fixing her mistake quickly, she held us up for 45 minutes and nearly made us late for our tour. This guest house has no sense of customer service, and I would not recommend it to anyone.
