Excellent stay. Cottage was super. Lovely outdoor bathtub. Really couldn't ask for more. Dinner at the restaurant was also great with homemade lamb lasagna. The host is a very friendly lady.

The cottage was spacious, well appointed and very comfortable. We greatly appreciated the private hot tub on the deck. The staff was professional, service focused and friendly. While we did not eat at the restaurant, we did enjoy some nice evening beverages there.

So welcoming and friendly. Excellent stay and amazing continental breakfast delivered to our cottage. Thoroughly enjoyed our family stay here. Excellent value for money.

We booked: "Cottage, 2 bedrooms | hot tube" The house was very spacious! More than excepted! Bride kitchen and spaces bathroom. Even a small freezer was there! Also a hot tube. We also recommend to eat at the restaurant in the main house. There you also can buy some stuff such as food and drinks. There are different houses around as well as a camping site, but it doesn't felt crowded. // Wir haben gebucht: „Ferienhaus, 2 Schlafzimmer | Whirlwanne“ Das Haus war sehr geräumig! Mehr als wir erwartet haben! Schöne Küche und geräumiges Badezimmer. Es gab sogar einen kleinen Gefrierschrank neben einem großen Kühlschrank und einen Hot Tube. Wir empfehlen auch, im Restaurant im Haupthaus zu essen. Dort kann man auch Lebensmittel und Getränke kaufen. Zu der Anlage gehören verschiedene Häuser in der Umgebung sowie ein Campingplatz, aber es fühlte sich nicht überfüllt an.

Il y a un manque de propreté de façon générale. La salle de bain est poussiéreuse ainsi que le canapé et sous les lits. Je pense que c'est dû à un manque de personnel et qu'ils font ce qu'ils peuvent. Il n'y a qu'une lavette pour la vaisselle :pas de grattoir ni d'éponge donc la vaisselle n'est pas nickel. Ce manque de nettoyage se répéte de location en location. Il n'y a pas de piscine celle ci est condamnée. Les spa, vu le manque d'hygiène des chalets, ne sont pas inspirants. On était dans un chalet économique. Les plus modernes ne doivent pas être comme ça. Les lits sont confortables, les kitchens sont suffisamment équipées, le chalet bien que petit est assez grand pour 4.Et le personnel est très sympathique. Et les cottages sont bien situés par rapport à tout ce qu'il y a à faire dans le cercle d'or.

The property was new and in a quite area. The views were great! However, the property was clearly not ready for us. We were unable to set up the TV because we did not have access to the WiFi password. We eventually found the info/welcome page on top of the kitchen cabinets which should have been placed in an area where it could easily be found. The kitchen drawers had leftover dry foods left open and other things that clearly should have been cleaned up. There was some trash left behind from previous guest and the floor dustpan had way more than "dust" left in it. Bottom line, our cabin was made ready for us in a rush at best and several things got missed. This is something that can easily be corrected for future guest and hopefully this is just a rare incident that we unfortunately encountered. All in all, it was not a big deal and didn't damper this leg of our vacation. Hospitality by the owner was great and we appreciated her stories and knowledge of the area. All in all, it is a great place to get away from the city life!

Our 4 bedroom cottage at Uthlid was not clean. The floors had clearly not been cleaned in a long time as walking around in bare feet left our feet dirty on the bottom. The worst part however was the area with the hot tub which had (as an estimate) 50-60 dead flies on the window sill. The cottage clearly had not been cleaned properly in a very long time. In addition the cottage was just not in good condition. Blankets were thrown in closets unfolded, toilet paper was missing in some bathrooms, there was a hole in the back of one of the bathroom doors, the windows were dirty, some doors (and door knobs) were loose, others we had a hard time shutting. This was by far our least favorite (of five) places that we stayed over 11 nights in Iceland and not a place I would recommend to anyone.

Spacious apartment in a nice location around the golden circle. Beds were too soft for my liking. The hot tub was so hot you could barely dip your foot in. The WiFi didn’t work and when asked they didn’t know how to fix it.

Having our own cabin was fantastic. There was tons of space with two bedrooms and a large kitchen/living area. The bathroom was smaller with a compact shower, but the water was warm and it had a powerful spray. The beds were comfortable with extra pillows. The area was very quiet and was easy to access. Wifi was only available in certain areas of the cabin and we often had to move around to connect. That was the one improvement we would recommend. Location was very convenient for exploring the Golden Circle. We recommend this hotel.

Sehr schöne neue Unterkunft, Küche hat alles was man benötigt, sogar eine Spülmaschine. Ruhige Lage und sehr nettes Personal. Leider hat ein Fenster geklemmt/ging nicht richtig zu.

Overpriced. The mattresses are very comfortable. Everything else is very old and not maintained. Dials on stove not readable, light on working on one hotplate only. Window in living area was leaking cold air in (1“ gap on one end). To top it all off, we had to sweep the floor and remove the garbage ourselves. Not recommending to anyone.

Check in wasn't great. There was confusion over which cabin was ours. They gave ours to someone else and we hate to wait a bit to figure it out. Location on the Golden Circle is good but the Economy cabins are not really nice. The bedrooms are super small, only room for a bed. The location is the only plus, everything else was a let down

Great stay - some had a modern luxury cottage which could not be faulted & some had a run down old cottage which was cute but not worth the money. The location was good.

Each cottage had it own uniqueness. We totally enjoyed the private hot tub in our cottage. Layout was great with lots of space. Modern amenities and superb view. Will definitely try to visit here again.

Excellent stay for a couple. Hot tub was amazing. Got to see the northern light from the hot tub. Great cottage, clean and fully stocked with all necessary essential. Only issue which many have commented on was the shower which leak waters underneath. Easy fix with sealant. Overall amazing stay and highly recommended.

This stay was great- such a beautiful area with easy access to many sites worth seeing while still feeling really remote and private. There was a problem with our original room before we arrived so we got upgraded and had our own hot tub which was incredible.

Spacious apartment in a nice location around the golden circle. Beds were too soft for my liking. The hot tub was so hot you could barely dip your foot in. The WiFi didn’t work and when asked they didn’t know how to fix it.

Check in wasn't great. There was confusion over which cabin was ours. They gave ours to someone else and we hate to wait a bit to figure it out. Location on the Golden Circle is good but the Economy cabins are not really nice. The bedrooms are super small, only room for a bed. The location is the only plus, everything else was a let down

The cottage was so cute and had some really nice touches. Towel warmer, Fan etc. so much to do in the area! Would 100% stay there again. Hot Tub was awesome! The host were so kind and helpful!

Great place to stay on the Golden Circle. Wish we had planned to stay more than one night. Very close to the geyer and Gullfoss made a great visit to sites in the morning as the crowds were light.

The cottages were perfect! Super clean and modern. The property is beautiful. We loved watching the animals roam around. They are also only minutes from the geysers and Gulfoss.

Sejour de deux nuits à Uthlid cottages. Tout etait parfait. Le cottage est chaleureux et bien equipé et situé dans un cadre d'un calme absolu. Geysir et Gulfoss, Friedheimar, secret lagoon et Kerid sont à deux pas. Depaysement total.

We’ve loved our stay in the cottage! Very clean, quiet, and safe with incredible views. We have our own private hot tub, very comfortable beds, and cozy accommodation. The restaurant staff were so friendly and kind for dinner- the food was great as well. Highly recommend the slow cooked lamb sandwich. We would definitely return and recommend to friends who visit Iceland. The price of the accommodation and food is very competitive to nearby places on the Golden Circle. We are so thankful we booked this stay!

Excellent stay. Cottage was super. Lovely outdoor bathtub. Really couldn't ask for more. Dinner at the restaurant was also great with homemade lamb lasagna. The host is a very friendly lady.

The cottage was spacious, well appointed and very comfortable. We greatly appreciated the private hot tub on the deck. The staff was professional, service focused and friendly. While we did not eat at the restaurant, we did enjoy some nice evening beverages there.

We booked: "Cottage, 2 bedrooms | hot tube" The house was very spacious! More than excepted! Bride kitchen and spaces bathroom. Even a small freezer was there! Also a hot tube. We also recommend to eat at the restaurant in the main house. There you also can buy some stuff such as food and drinks. There are different houses around as well as a camping site, but it doesn't felt crowded. // Wir haben gebucht: „Ferienhaus, 2 Schlafzimmer | Whirlwanne“ Das Haus war sehr geräumig! Mehr als wir erwartet haben! Schöne Küche und geräumiges Badezimmer. Es gab sogar einen kleinen Gefrierschrank neben einem großen Kühlschrank und einen Hot Tube. Wir empfehlen auch, im Restaurant im Haupthaus zu essen. Dort kann man auch Lebensmittel und Getränke kaufen. Zu der Anlage gehören verschiedene Häuser in der Umgebung sowie ein Campingplatz, aber es fühlte sich nicht überfüllt an.

Cabin was quiet clean quaint and felt like our 2nd home. Staff were wonderful and helpful. The bedrooms were smaller than we were used to be fine and comfortable. Restaurant is not open in the mornings so bring your coffee and food. There is a restaurant a few minutes up the road. I would stay again

The overall stay was great. A few minor issues. There was a broken handle on the kitchen window and the blinds were broken. There is also no shampoo or shower gel for the shower. This is something that is uncommon and could be highlighted when booking or just provided given the cost.

We loved our stay at Uthlid Cottages and wish we had booked more than one night! The hosts were so welcoming and the breakfast basket option they offered was superb for the reasonable price point. The location was beautiful - tucked back into the woods and thw cabin was so much bigger than we expected. Very comfortable for a family of three, great living space to hang out in. And the hot tub! Wow! Even though we arrived late, we spent hours relaxing in it after checking in and then took another soak in the morning. We would also recommend grabbing am easy dinner at their little restaurant. Good food and cute setting! 10/10 would recommend!
