Big Game - Wilpattu by Eco Team

I stayed only one night but wished I stayed an extra one. The staff were so accommodating and extremely friendly. I really loved the afternoon walk around the village where I saw my first elephant of my Sri Lankan trip and evening walk around the gardens looking at the nocturnal animals. I would highly recommend staying here!!

The team at Big Game was amazing! We booked because we really wanted to do a safari and that was amazing but we were blown away be everything else! The food was above and beyond what I expected with 4 courses for dinner, 3 at lunch , and a very full breakfast. They list breakfast as continental but it's much more than that. The first tent we were in was fine but we upgraded part way through and really appreciated the extra space!

It started with a bad surprise, for which I would blame Hotels.com as they showed pictures of the Mahoora tents, but booked us in the Big Game tent… a lower standard. Once that issue was cleared, we truely enjoyed our stay… the Mahoora tent is amazing, in a stunning environment. Service is great, candle dinner is amazing… and the safari organization was perfect.

Peaceful place, great wildlife on your doorstep. Info on activities was non-existent though, so could be improved
