Hotel and bar closes down at 8pm. So don't expect drinks or any kind of service after 8pm. Appalling. No milk of any description in the room or the communal fridge so couldn't even make a cup of tea. Breakfast luke warm. Wasn't busy so no excuse. Used to be really good but poor service now and lack of attention to details that matter.

A really convenient place to stay - easy access to Northumberland and Durham and some nice walks close by. Staff friendly and very helpful. Room pleasant and well-kept with very good shower. Bar/restaurant offers a wide choice of good food and breakfasts are excellent. Coffee is brilliant and the tables out front are a good place to watch the world go by. Always space in the car park but no CCTV there so damage to my car can't be followed up. We spent 4 nights there.

The bedroom was modern, well styled and comfortable. Cooked breakfast was nice and you could have what you wanted but the buffet was a bit basic and as I have food intolerances was not catered for. The main hotel areas are a bit tired has lots of potential to be excellent but think it needs some cosmetic upgrades. Found internet access difficult in rooms tried to sign in several times without luck. Car park was good and was a popular bar and food place at night. Everything shuts at 10pm so is quiet and great for a nights rest Corbridge is a lovely wee town

The main hotel areas are a bit tired has lots of potential to be excellent but think it needs some cosmetic upgrades. Everything shuts at 10pm so is quiet and great for a nights rest Corbridge is a lovely wee town

Stayed here many times over the years visiting my parents who live in Corbridge and really like the place. HOWEVER...on Friday 19th May my parents, who are over 80, had an awful dining experience (about 19:30 to 21:00) due to the dining area (which is the bar area too) being incredibly crowded and loud. They normally try to eat at 18:30 when it is quieter so if you are older or have older parents/relatives try to eat earlier in the evening if possible. During the week it is quieter mind you and never had this problem with crowding and noise.

Good location in the village, nice view from front windows, room airy and bright. Staff helpful. Dinner menu good. However, the place needs a really good clean - staircase carpets filthy, laundry lying around, corridor cluttered. Only 1 staff at breakfast - supplies lacking and empty. Cooked breakfast good though.

Extremely tatty carpets and decor and more like a £80 per night deal instead of the £140 charged for b£b. Breakfast was underwhelming. The hotel has an air of neglect and I would guess that with some investment will not be around for much longer. The food menu was £10 more than the Greens King pub down the road and the dining room / bar are so tired. We opted for Greene King and we’re not disappointed. Plus side - the staff were lovely and the car parking was excellent.

The hotel rooms were very poor with old beds, filthy carpets and a toilet seat that did not fit. Clearly the owner was not interested in the guests experience. The food was ok but the bar where you eat was again very dirty

We enjoyed our stay here. The breakfast was fantastic, but our room a little disappointing. The carpet was dirty and there was a unpleasant smell in the bathroom. Basically, the hotel needs a refurb and modernisation. However, the location is brilliant and staff lovely and that counts for a lot.

The Angel is in a very good spot but once inside it is very tired looking. Our room looked like it had been recently refurbished it was nice and fresh compared to other areas. Breakfast was just warm, not alot of extras and presentation on the extras table was poor.

Vey tired hotel. Filthy carpet throughout lounge area and stairs to room. Rooms were tired looking but warm and comfortable. Staff friendly but perhaps over-worked as breakfast tables missing butter, menus etc. Fruit salad would be better taken off the menu as only a small bowl and looked old. Did not eat there and neither did many other people by the look of it although the restaurants we ate in town were busy.

Not sure what’s going on at this hotel. Stayed in June ‘24 and it was clean (although the carpet in the lounge bar was looking dirty as were stairwells to the rooms) and the breakfast was quality local butchers produce and really, first class. Stayed again early Feb ‘25 and lounge bar carpet is now encrusted with a black sheen of pressed-in dirt (and it’s a cheap office corridor style carpet anyway) and the stairwells to the rooms were absolutely filthy, black and stained..just…dirty and uncared for. Really filthy. Not mud left by walkers, just general grime. Gross. The produce at breakfast was also cheap supermarket stuff, not good at all. We took the suite and there was leftover food in the fridge when we checked in also… The service remains really good though.

Lovely pub/hotel. Rooms were clean and spacious, however bathroom could do with up dating and the blind was broken. Bed was comfy, dinner was fantastic but the breakfast service could have been a little quicker. Would suggest starting breakfast half an hour earlier on Great North Run day.

Lovely clean room with everything you need. Nice big shower. Radiator boiling hot all night, so even with the windows wide open, had a terrible sleep. Breakfast was great, lots of choice. Horrible smell of sewers in the car park.

This was the fourth time we had spent the night here for Bonfire night. Unlike the last few times, this was very different. The room was very clean as always however, the heat was unbearable it was like the middle of summer even with the AC on. There were no amenities for the dog, compared to last time when she was made to feel like a guest and not just a tag along. With breakfast, the bread tasted like cheap sweet loaf and the butter was unsalted. The hollandaise had too much vinegar in it, I couldn't eat it. No one came over to see if we were enjoying it and they stayed away until we left which made us feel like they didn't wish to hear any criticism. Overall, it felt like a totally different place. We won't be back to stay. on the positive, on the evening the ladies in the bar were amazing, very engaging with the dog, very willing to help regarding cocktails. couldn't fault them, they were lush.

Nice pub/hotel. Visit was spoiled by small but relevant niggles. No milk in room...rang externally to hotel (no phone in room. Roo.m 10) was told it would be sent up. 15 mins later rang again told it would be sent up. 30 mins later had to get dressed nad go downstairs. Told me they'd rang room twice. Clever when no phone. Said milk was on landing. Asked for buscuits (willing to pay) said they only provide 1 for each paying guest but they serve deserts. All they had to do was provide us with a jug of milk (pub was empty) and we would have been happy. Totally unnecessary frustrations. Breakfast next day was lovely both in terms of staff & food.

Good location in the village, nice view from front windows, room airy and bright. Staff helpful. Dinner menu good. However, the place needs a really good clean - staircase carpets filthy, laundry lying around, corridor cluttered. Only 1 staff at breakfast - supplies lacking and empty. Cooked breakfast good though.

Great location, easily walkable into town. Fantastic fish and chips which the whole restaurant seemed to have ordered as they saw what was coming out of the kitchen! Excellent service in the restaurant and a special mention to Lily and also the housekeeper.

Very enjoyable stay, lovely hotel, well situated in the town, close to everything. Reasonable drink and food prices, friendly staff and a comfortable room. Breakfast was excellent and made to order. Downsides - The toilet seat in our bathroom was knackered though and looked like it should have been replaced some time back! (Room7)

A really convenient place to stay - easy access to Northumberland and Durham and some nice walks close by. Staff friendly and very helpful. Room pleasant and well-kept with very good shower. Bar/restaurant offers a wide choice of good food and breakfasts are excellent. Coffee is brilliant and the tables out front are a good place to watch the world go by. Always space in the car park but no CCTV there so damage to my car can't be followed up. We spent 4 nights there.

We enjoyed our stay here. The breakfast was fantastic, but our room a little disappointing. The carpet was dirty and there was a unpleasant smell in the bathroom. Basically, the hotel needs a refurb and modernisation. However, the location is brilliant and staff lovely and that counts for a lot.

The bedroom was modern, well styled and comfortable. Cooked breakfast was nice and you could have what you wanted but the buffet was a bit basic and as I have food intolerances was not catered for. The main hotel areas are a bit tired has lots of potential to be excellent but think it needs some cosmetic upgrades. Found internet access difficult in rooms tried to sign in several times without luck. Car park was good and was a popular bar and food place at night. Everything shuts at 10pm so is quiet and great for a nights rest Corbridge is a lovely wee town

Stayed here many times over the years visiting my parents who live in Corbridge and really like the place. HOWEVER...on Friday 19th May my parents, who are over 80, had an awful dining experience (about 19:30 to 21:00) due to the dining area (which is the bar area too) being incredibly crowded and loud. They normally try to eat at 18:30 when it is quieter so if you are older or have older parents/relatives try to eat earlier in the evening if possible. During the week it is quieter mind you and never had this problem with crowding and noise.

This was the fourth time we had spent the night here for Bonfire night. Unlike the last few times, this was very different. The room was very clean as always however, the heat was unbearable it was like the middle of summer even with the AC on. There were no amenities for the dog, compared to last time when she was made to feel like a guest and not just a tag along. With breakfast, the bread tasted like cheap sweet loaf and the butter was unsalted. The hollandaise had too much vinegar in it, I couldn't eat it. No one came over to see if we were enjoying it and they stayed away until we left which made us feel like they didn't wish to hear any criticism. Overall, it felt like a totally different place. We won't be back to stay. on the positive, on the evening the ladies in the bar were amazing, very engaging with the dog, very willing to help regarding cocktails. couldn't fault them, they were lush.

The rooms were very comfortable and well decorated. The breakfasts were delicious snd the staff were extremely helpful! The only thing I could find fault with was the walls of the bedrooms. They were very thin and you could hear a lot from the next bedroom.

The shower was blocked. There was no milk for tea and coffee. Couldn't check in till 3pm and were chucked out at 10am. Worst of all the breakfast was cold eggs were overdone. There was no butter or hardly any bread. There was no extra plates and no tea was offered . All in all breakfast was poor.

Rooms themselves are clean, comfortable, nicely furnished. The bar, restaurant and reception areas are a bit dowdy and not an upgrade. The breakfast buffet was a bit limited and presented haphazardly.

Really enjoyed my stay. Large double room, with a very comfortable bed and good shower. They even added a fan as it was hot weather, a nice touch. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Great pub downstairs, with a good, varied evening menu, and the cooked breakfast was lovely too. Only niggle, was that breakfast was served in the pub, which wouldn't be a problem if the tables had been wiped down properly the night before - a bit sticky to be eating your breakfast at! All in all, a great place and I wouldn't think twice about staying again if I go back to Corbridge, which I hope I manage to do, as it's a wonderful place.
