The Inn was conveniently located near many sites and restaurants. Large grassy area was perfect for dog walking. Very helpful front office staff. Good wi-fi. Only negatives were towels in the room were very, very thin and there wasn't a towel rack in Room 29.

The Port Townsend Inn is a budget motel and it has been around a while. However, we had an enjoyable stay and were comfortable in our room and the area. The room was clean, and the air conditioning worked well, which was nice because it was a couple of hot days. There was ample parking, and the motel was within half a mile of the charming downtown area. This is well within walking distance for us, but if you choose to drive there are lots of parking options closer, and you can catch a ferry downtown. There were many dining options, including pizza, Thai, homestyle, breakfast, coffee shops, ice cream, etc. Lots of shopping and art shops, also. The check-in process was easy, and the staff were nice. Although the carpet on the walkway outside the doors was worn, housekeepers were cleaning the lighting fixtures and dusting under the walkway roof, which tells me they care about keeping the environment clean. The carpet and fixtures in our room were in good shape and worked well. The pool and spa are out of commission because they are doing renovations, but there is a nice green area downstairs from the pool building, which was good for our dog to stretch his legs and relieve himself.

The room had a refrigerator, small sink and a 2-burner range built in a compact unit in the room. It turned out we just happened to get one of two rooms that have this feature. All the same, it was nice and we used it. Bed was good.

Recent updating in room good but some cobwebs overhead. Outside areas showing some wear and project debris behind building. Pool was out of service. Location is very convenient to Port Townsend downtown amenities and ferry terminal. 10PM quiet time was observed.

Good to find any place at the last minute during summer season. Was a bit run down.. and the pool and spa advertised had not been operable for some time... did not get room serviced at all during 5 day stay.

Port Townsend is a beautiful little tourist trap. The Townsend Inn was comfortable as a place to sleep. No iminities. The pool was closed, and no breakfast. It was just a quiet, clean place to sleep.

I liked the whole kitchenette setup, and how clean it was. The place needs painting touchups, and I wish we had know that the pool and hot tub were closed!

Room was very average. TV remote was greasy, there was someone’s hair all matted up in the hair dryer, towels were super small. Staff was pleasant and thorough on check in and check out.

The phone in our room didnt work, and continued to not work during the overnight stay. As my husband sat in the chair, it collapsed. It was fixed and brought back. Only enough coffee in the room for one cup, when two people are staying. Dirty shower.

Shower drain grate loose and creates hazard for cut/trip/fall. Dust bunnies and plastic cup under bed suggests housekeeping lacking. Lavatory water flow almost unusable. Very limited parking for handicapped users. Cleanliness was good, bed/pillows acceptable and satisfied necessary/sufficient needs for traveler.

I chose this hotel for the pool, but found that the pool was not in service. Additionally, the room was dirty when we arrived. It looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in a while, and it looked like there was mold on the paneling by the shower. We arrived late, and were ended up staying the night, but checked out the next morning. Thankfully, they did say they would refund the rest of the stay, but I haven’t seen the refund clear my account yet. The photos show that it looks like repairs have been started, but it was long enough ago that the repairs look abandoned. Also, the sealing around the door needs replaced. It was loud and my girls and I (all female) didn’t feel safe here.

Great little motel, close to town. Staff was great! Some rooms were renovated (our friends were in one) and some were not. We were in an older room which was fine except for the carpet was sticky. Overall a good stay.

This property was clean, straight-forward to book and communicate with employees, and is located in a wonderful location. This place feels very affordable for the style of Inn that it is, and it's incredibly easy to navigate to and fro as you walk and drive around PT. There was a bit of an issue with construction noise and not being made aware, but the front-desk employees and customer service was wonderful and all was figured out in the end. I would call ahead to double check what the Inn has planned for reno (it's very cute and it looks like it's being made even nicer) but I definitely recommend this place for ease of use, price, cleanliness, and location. Will be back! Thank you PT Inn!

We planned to stay here for two days. When we arrived, we were mildly sketched out by the physical room keys (not cards), lack of a latch on the door, and fussy locking mechanism in the door knob. If I had been traveling alone, I would have felt too unsafe to stay. Then we noticed the bathroom door, which was a sliding pocket door, was broken. This was awkward and inconvenient, but not terrible. Trying to sleep at night on bad mattresses, lumpy pillows, and no blankets (just sheets and the thin decorative comforter), made everything worse. The real dealbreaker was going for a shower in the morning and discovering there was no showerhead - just a pipe sticking out of the wall. We checked out a day early rather than spend any more time there. Added to the fact that the advertised indoor pool was closed and drained, the hotel was a total bust.

We stayed in a relatively large room, but the TV was so small you cant read anything while searching for something to watch. I belive we were staying directly above the laundry room a we could hear the spin cycle coming on a running for a while thrift the evening. The toilet was extremely loud when refilling and it would come in in the middle of the night and wake us up.

We had a spacious room with a little kitchenette which was nice. The guy working at the front desk was very friendly, and the Inn is within walking distance to places to eat and drink. Walls were thin so it's a bit noisy, and the bed's mattress was very old and saggy and uncomfortable. Also the indoor pool was closed which was too bad. Overall, the Inn was a convenient place to stay, and I'd stay here again if they update their beds!

Great location, not so great of a room. The bed was as hard as sleeping on plywood. They give 2 small pillows for 2 people. The "bath" towels were oversize hand towels. The place is ok but doesn't live up to the pictures.

Great location with an easy walk into town. The Co-op is right next door for coffee and treats. The little kitchen was perfect for heating things up and breakfast. The room was big and clean. It’s older but that means solid walls so it was quiet. Everything was great except one side of the bed had a big indent which made sleeping on that side a bit of torture. The side with the night stand was great so we took turns taking the good side. If they put a new mattress in room 40 it would be a perfect stay.

Overall a good stay. Unexpected pool and hottub closed. 1st floor room war very noisy from people moving around on 2nd floor. Otherwise, location was good. Staff was very pleasant, room was clean and in good condition. I would stay again on the 2nd floor.

Staff was incredibly cordial and helpful. I complained about inadequate lighting from beside lamp which must have been 50 years old. They replaced it immediately the next morning. I also wanted an additional pillow which was delivered pronto. On arrival and departure staff was extraordinarily friendly.

I stayed 3 nights. The maid would not clean or make up the room on any mornings. I complained to the desk, but nothing was done. What a dump! I do not recommend. Paper thin walls. Very noisy at night.

The next door alarm went off at 4am and there is no one there at the property or if you call the phone # listed for after hours contact, no one will respond. The staff just make excuses and blame the previous guests for the alarm going off and make no efforts to take responsibility or to make it rights. The next door alarm went off at 4am and there is no one there at the property or if you call the phone # listed for after hours contact, no one will respond. The staff just make excuses and blame the previous guests for the alarm going off and make no efforts to take responsibility or to make it rights. Five stars, my smoke detector randomly started malfunctioning and H at the front desk came up to my room to troubleshoot, listened to my concerns about the wiring and flickering light in the room, and, after being unable to fix the detector, immediately upgraded me at no charge. LOVE this hotel

Not the fanciest hotel in Port Townsend, but the PTI is what it is, a nice, clean, convenient, comfy hotel with a friendly and helpful staff. It does all of that well, and with a smile.

I had mistakenly reserved one room and then a couple days later added on another reservation for an additional night. The person who checked me in offered to combine so we did not have to move. He was friendly and professional and knowledgeable. The only negativevi would say is to update the bed and bedding.

While this is not a fancy place, the room was spacious and well kept; the bed was comfortable; and the shower had great water pressure. The front desk staff changed my room to an upper floor so I had a slight view of the water instead of a strip mall. It's right next door to an organic grocery store and about 10-minute walk to the historic downtown. Good experience, thanks!

Great location with an easy walk into town. The Co-op is right next door for coffee and treats. The little kitchen was perfect for heating things up and breakfast. The room was big and clean. It’s older but that means solid walls so it was quiet. Everything was great except one side of the bed had a big indent which made sleeping on that side a bit of torture. The side with the night stand was great so we took turns taking the good side. If they put a new mattress in room 40 it would be a perfect stay.

I had a wonderful time in Port Townsend and the Inn is conveniently located for walking or driving. It was nice waking up to the seagulls in the morning. I found the downtown area to be charming but busy by 10:00 am in season. Such a beautiful area.

The Port Townsend Inn is a budget motel and it has been around a while. However, we had an enjoyable stay and were comfortable in our room and the area. The room was clean, and the air conditioning worked well, which was nice because it was a couple of hot days. There was ample parking, and the motel was within half a mile of the charming downtown area. This is well within walking distance for us, but if you choose to drive there are lots of parking options closer, and you can catch a ferry downtown. There were many dining options, including pizza, Thai, homestyle, breakfast, coffee shops, ice cream, etc. Lots of shopping and art shops, also. The check-in process was easy, and the staff were nice. Although the carpet on the walkway outside the doors was worn, housekeepers were cleaning the lighting fixtures and dusting under the walkway roof, which tells me they care about keeping the environment clean. The carpet and fixtures in our room were in good shape and worked well. The pool and spa are out of commission because they are doing renovations, but there is a nice green area downstairs from the pool building, which was good for our dog to stretch his legs and relieve himself.

Good price, quiet, reasonably clean. Heater was sub-par (didn\'t heat the bathroom), cold draft under the door. Asked about breakfast food and was told "No, because of COVID". Um, sorry dude, that was 2020, it\'s 2023. Everyone else is doing breakfast for their customers. So that was sort of lame. But otherwise OK, we would stay again.

This is a motel, not a hotel. Property isn't new but overall it was fine. Low pillow choice compared to some hotels but everything in the room worked and bed was fairly comfortable. Good service from staff and excellent coffee in the room.

I had room 58 second floor. Was a short walk to The Food Coop just a short walk away. They have a selection of hot items for breakfast, evening Do- it - yourself service. Store is overall excellent quality food items, and service.

Port Townsend is a beautiful little tourist trap. The Townsend Inn was comfortable as a place to sleep. No iminities. The pool was closed, and no breakfast. It was just a quiet, clean place to sleep.

We were just going through and got reservations at your place. For the price we paid $299.00 a night one would think the pool would be available maybe a soda machine that worked and maybe a piece of toast. Way to expensive for what wewas available. But i guess for the last room in town you can charge anything you want.

It was a basic dated motel room, that worked fine for us. The location was good - not far from the ferry terminal and downtown. The staff were all nice and we appreciated the air conditioning and parking and being dog friendly. It was great to have the co-op right near by for food.

The pool is non operational! The price I thought for sure we were getting the indoor pool. It hasn’t been filled since Covid- they should stop advertising the pool. Otherwise it was fine. It’s a small, quaint little town so everything is a little dated but we still enjoyed our stay very much!

There were bed bugs, we told them about the situation and that we would need to leave. They were not receptive to my request for a refund of the last night. They said they would have to inspect the room before making a decision to refund the final night. When I made the point this was not a matter of choice but we were being forced to leave due to the room condition, the desk attendant replied “that’s not how I see it.” I have 8 bites and now face the daunting task of decontaminating everything before bringing it into my house.
