This is a clean, easy, super convenient location to Camp Blue Lair that is totally fine for what it is. Staff is really nice. Restaurant bar is cool. Price a bit higher but much better than staying in less convenient Twain Harte. In ski season this must be a convenient charmer. I recommend!

The property was nice and nicely decorated. The room was simple but super clean. The food was good, even if they couldn't guarantee any allergy restrictions. Family-friendly with a soccer table and pool table for a small fee. It is super close to Dodge Ridge Ski Resort.

It was a roof to sleep under that is all. Close to Dodge Ridge Resort. The noisiest heater we have seen in our entire life. We had to choose between sleeping Vs being cold. I would recommend the owners to invest into a decent centralized HVAC system rather having those horrible individual heaters running the room. Turns out some rooms have an "attick ceiling" which we were lucky to get, and my husband and I kept bumping our heads against it when reaching for nightstand. Overall cleanliness was fine, but there was an incident with bedding, as once we opened the top sheet we found a wrinkled sheet with hair strings and an eylash. Of course I asked for linen to be changed and a nice lady was very apologetic and provided me with clean linen, apologizing and explaining that there must have been a mix up with a new cleaner that is still in training. Upon opening a night stand the next day... I found things too. So I hope it was a 1 time mix up and that future guests will not suffer. Life happens. Parking was easy, bar and restaurant available and open late into the night. Food is not good at all. Deserts are decent. Staff are super friendly. Very cute decore of the walls at the hotel.

Great place to stay especially if you plan on enjoying Pinecrest Lake area. This is the second time we stayed here and everything was great. Small hotel with very few amenities but that’s not what you come here for. We will be back again.

Nice place in a central location for kids tubing where there is snow. Friendly staff and the good and service are good. Feels like you're staying at a friend's cabin not quite like a hotel.

Where do I begin? Definitely not worth $250 a night. No amenities to speak of. No housekeeping and TV did not work. Granted, it’s a satellite system and the snow can interrupt service. I just wish I would’ve been told about the possibility of both. I was told they have no housekeeping, but can refresh the room like give new towels and take out the trash. We left to go skiing and was gone for about six hours. Room was not refreshed. Shower smelled of urine. Was told they were going to sell the property. I can see why. Several of the staff were rude. Definitely will not ever be going there again!

Property is old but clean and attractive. Mattresses are cheap and uncomfortable. TV didnt work and no one was available to even look at it. We requested maid service. Door sign was flipped from maid service request to Do Not Disturb and no maid service was done. Bar and restaurant staff also seemed to be responsible for hotel. The staff was pleasant, but they work long hours and there were not enough of them.

The location is convenient and the staff was friendly. The room was clean and bathroom was tidy. A nice place after a whole-day filled with outdoor activities. The only thing is the ac machine was kind of noisy.

The restaurant didnt have any of the food they advertised on the outside of the building. They were handing out the wrong food to the wrong customers. I had to wipe up water that I spilled in the room and afterward the towel I used was almost black. So Im not sure when the last time the floor was mopped. Otherwise its a nice place to stay, its a very pretty area.

The experience was truly terrible. The cook checked us in and scanned my ID into their system. When asked he said the scanned ID would remain in their system permanently. We are not even sure that permanent storage is legal given the privacy concerns it raises. Also the bathroom was not clean. Behind the toilet and next to the sink was dirt and grime. Additionally, the toilet itself was loose so while using it one felt it moving forward which raised a concern of falling off. The carpet in the associated restaurant was so dirty that it seemed clear it had not been vacuumed for weeks. This all begs the question if facilities allowed to advertise on the hotels.com platform are reviewed and monitored at all.

The room was large and clean, tucked away downstairs and stayed pretty quiet despite the bar upstairs having quite a few patrons. I agree with other posts that it was overpriced as was breakfast. Breakfast was ample and delicious but should have been included in room price for what we paid.

We spend two back to back weekends at this lodge. Both stays, the gentleman who checks you in was pleasant and professional. The lady bar tender / waitress who works in the evening as well as the lady that works breakfast hours were both unprofessional and rude. You almost have to feel bad for them because they are over the top angry for no apparent reason and this happened both weekends in a row. I wasn't going to say anything negative because my family enjoyed our stay regardless but this happened two weekends in a row. Otherwise, great location, really spacious rooms, and a great place to stay.

Direct tv wasn’t working, no fridge, and the hairdryer wasn’t working. Very noisy beds. We had 2 queen beds both made noises. No comfortable chair to sit or a table to eat on. Too expensive for what we did or didn’t have.

It was a beautiful location right on the river. We had amazing view of the river from our room. Was a little noisey at night due to resturant above the rooms. The price was also pretty expensive and they do not do canclelations with in 14 days which is weird because if you booked 4 days ago you cant cancle and have to pay full price if you can not make it. That needs to be fixed. Other than that beaitiful location and building.

We left to go skiing and was gone for about six hours. Room was not refreshed. Shower smelled of urine. Was told they were going to sell the property. I can see why. Several of the staff were rude. Definitely will not ever be going there again!

The beds squeezed and the mattresses were soft and stained. Please add mattress pads. Recommend mini refrigerators be available. Service was poor. Don’t recommend this place. Change the body soap to shampoo in the shower/tub.

Being an older facility, you can hear some noises from other guests as the walls are not concrete and it is an old property. Also, the beds are old and hard and could use some new ones to help with a good nights rest. Otherwise, a very good experience and we loved the staff.

We stayed in this hotel in preparation for a hike in the Emigrant Wilderness. There are not a lot of choices and it is convenient to the trail head. While the lodge itself is adequate, we found the staff in most cases to be passive aggressive and indifferent to us as guests if not downright unfriendly. Most interactions made us feel like they were doing us a favor by interacting with us at all. For a hotel, the lack of interest in customer service was striking. They were also unwilling to store our bags while we were on the trail, A service we were we have found is almost universally available at hotels and areas where people go hiking. This is a clean, easy, super convenient location to Camp Blue Lair that is totally fine for what it is. Staff is really nice. Restaurant bar is cool. Price a bit higher but much better than staying in less convenient Twain Harte. In ski season this must be a convenient charmer. I recommend!

We spend two back to back weekends at this lodge. Both stays, the gentleman who checks you in was pleasant and professional. The lady bar tender / waitress who works in the evening as well as the lady that works breakfast hours were both unprofessional and rude. You almost have to feel bad for them because they are over the top angry for no apparent reason and this happened both weekends in a row. I wasn't going to say anything negative because my family enjoyed our stay regardless but this happened two weekends in a row. Otherwise, great location, really spacious rooms, and a great place to stay.

Got there and no one around to check in but found envelope with my name and a key. Got to room and it was occupied. Second room didn’t have hot water. Directed to different room and using key to enter found 2 people asleep and buck naked on the bed. Finally got a room unoccupied and with hot water. Hence the poor ratings. A real comedy of errors! But there’s no where else to stay in the area.

Property is old but clean and attractive. Mattresses are cheap and uncomfortable. TV didnt work and no one was available to even look at it. We requested maid service. Door sign was flipped from maid service request to Do Not Disturb and no maid service was done. Bar and restaurant staff also seemed to be responsible for hotel. The staff was pleasant, but they work long hours and there were not enough of them.

The property was nice and nicely decorated. The room was simple but super clean. The food was good, even if they couldn't guarantee any allergy restrictions. Family-friendly with a soccer table and pool table for a small fee. It is super close to Dodge Ridge Ski Resort.

It was a beautiful location right on the river. We had amazing view of the river from our room. Was a little noisey at night due to resturant above the rooms. The price was also pretty expensive and they do not do canclelations with in 14 days which is weird because if you booked 4 days ago you cant cancle and have to pay full price if you can not make it. That needs to be fixed. Other than that beaitiful location and building.

It was a roof to sleep under that is all. Close to Dodge Ridge Resort. The noisiest heater we have seen in our entire life. We had to choose between sleeping Vs being cold. I would recommend the owners to invest into a decent centralized HVAC system rather having those horrible individual heaters running the room. Turns out some rooms have an "attick ceiling" which we were lucky to get, and my husband and I kept bumping our heads against it when reaching for nightstand. Overall cleanliness was fine, but there was an incident with bedding, as once we opened the top sheet we found a wrinkled sheet with hair strings and an eylash. Of course I asked for linen to be changed and a nice lady was very apologetic and provided me with clean linen, apologizing and explaining that there must have been a mix up with a new cleaner that is still in training. Upon opening a night stand the next day... I found things too. So I hope it was a 1 time mix up and that future guests will not suffer. Life happens. Parking was easy, bar and restaurant available and open late into the night. Food is not good at all. Deserts are decent. Staff are super friendly. Very cute decore of the walls at the hotel.

The restaurant didnt have any of the food they advertised on the outside of the building. They were handing out the wrong food to the wrong customers. I had to wipe up water that I spilled in the room and afterward the towel I used was almost black. So Im not sure when the last time the floor was mopped. Otherwise its a nice place to stay, its a very pretty area.

Easily the very best STAFF ever. We booked the night and we were SO excited! But we blew our radiator and were stuck on the side of the road for hours waiting for a tow. They were absolutely fabulous and gave me a refund. I will absolutely re-book when we can actually make it that way again. We were so bummed. Kids crying. Lots of cuss words from us. But talking to the woman who answered the phone restored my faith for a moment, at least ;) Signed, one sad family who was looking forward to this vacation

Apparently Thursday nights are party nights at this place... we arrived and a staff person informed us that it would be very loud and that complaining would be useless because the owner is committed to the party. We didn’t know what to make of that. Then, from 10pm to about 2am our floor buzzed with the drum and bass... it was indeed a very very loud party and our toddler was therefore awake and crying for much of that time. It was a real drag, and if we had simply been informed before booking that it was a party night, we could have made a better choice and would have avoided this bad review. Also - there were mouse droppings in the drawers. Alas.

Love this place!!! The rooms were very clean and had a beach view of the river. The food is great. If you run into Paul, say Hi from us. He was the star of the show and made sure every step of our trip was great. Traveling with a 2 year old is a blast but also a lot of work. Come here, eat the food and visit Pinecrest. It will take you back in time to small town summer vibes.
