Hotel looks like an old Motel 6- price was cheap enough- didn’t expect fancy but kinda would have expected a hair dryer but they couldn’t provide one. Towels are very thin and cheap. Bed had only bottom sheet followed with fuzzy blanket and sheet on top the blanket- we switched the top sheet that was supposed to look like a comforter to make a top sheet so we didn’t have a scratchy blanket on our skin. We were visiting family so we spent most all our time at their house. Only used room to sleep and shower.

Just returned home from staying at the High Five for a few days. Our room was clean, staff were friendly and the place is conveniently located. Our only complaints were the shower stall is small (good luck trying to shave in the shower), no blow dryer and no light bulb in the table between both beds (we had to ask for one, which staff quickly brought us). I also did not understand the bed making logic, instead of the top sheet being on top of us it was a blanket then the top sheet, which seemed in reverse to me. I also had to question the cleanliness of the blanket, it was right on top of me was it right on top of the previous guest and was it laundered in between guests like the sheets were? Would I stay here again, yes, would I recommend this place to others, yes.

For the price I expected clean towels and a room that was not 90 degrees walking in! A/C was not on. Beds were lumpy and overall it was just a room with nothing to recommend it. Walking into the office was like walking into a run down convenience store. Everything had to slide under a glass that was only a sheet of paper high. Felt like a place that had been robbed a lot! Did not instill any type of safe feel. I will not be back!

We were very impressed with High Five. I knew the hotel was there. Right off Veterans and WS Young. But I had no idea how quiet it would be so close to a busy intersection. There was a small refundable deposit of $30 for a non-smoking room. They actually went and checked the room wasn't smoked in before returning my deposit. I'm OK with that but surprised they did so. We had a king room. The bed was huge. I believe it was larger than a king. Solid wood sleigh. Gorgeous bed. And the mattress was soft! The tv was decent size, 40", and had an abundance of things to watch including HBO. We did not use the shower but our room was handicap accessible with a folding seat in the shower. The room was very spacious. The fridge kept our foods/drinks cold. We didn't use the microwave. We decided we would always book High Five when staying in Killeen. Absolutely loved the place.

I suffer with asthma. Give me my $21 back. Extremely smokey. The lady at the front desk said she only had smoking. She didn't care about my asthma. A bit rude. Never ever again

We were given 1 room. Then moved to another room the next day by management's request. We didn't want to change rooms but they wouldn't leave us alone about it. The first room was great. Clean, nice. Carpeted. The bed sucked and was noisy. The springs constantly popped. But the room super nice. The 2nd room was run down, no carpet, no power cord on one lamp, the power outlets were loose so our phones would stop charging. The fridge didn't fit in it's nook. The only thing I loved was the bed. It was perfectly soft. Hald way through our stay we had to leave due to medical emergency. Hotel absolutely refuses refund. Even through hotels.com. When Hotels called, they just refused to answer the phone. I'm absolutely disappointed as we'd stayed at High Five before and loved it. I doubt we will stay again. It was the fact they made us move rooms for no reason. No refund, fine. Move rooms for a bs reason? Rude.

I guess you can’t beat the price for $50 but you get what you pay for. Pretty trashy clientele but I’m a single man that only needed a couple hours sleep so it was fine for me. Do not expect too much at all.
