Place was clean, road leading up to property should be repaved

The staff let us check in early. Room was very clean with a gorgeous view of Saranac Lake. Fire pit in the evening was a big plus. Staff were very friendly. Would definitely go back.

Not very welcoming, non-personable check in - had to check in with school age child talking to someone on the telephone. Check-in was done on a small enclosed porch area. Room had no blinds, just room darkening curtains that were barely wide enough for all windows. No ice machine available.

But space. Nice view, and the fire pit was a nice touch. Close to town and where we were hiking.

Nice budget basic hotel 10 minutes from the State Park and downtown. Great views of the lake from every room. My only complaint was the lack of an ice machine.

It is exactly as says. Gorgeous view. Its was worth the steep driveway to access for view.

The place was good. A little out dated kinda hard to get in and out of for parking. For the area I was priced good. Just wasn’t what I was expecting from description.

Motel is clean and quiet but, they don’t have ice machine.

Every thing was good. Room was clean. Not a lot of noise. AC worked fine. Nice hotel at a decent price. I would stay there again.

This property was reminiscent of the roadside motels my family used to stay at when I was a kid but far pricier. This one had stains on the shower curtain and bedding. Towels were provided but were scratchy and paper-thin. The room was clean but smelled of disinfectant or something else. Access to the property is difficult due to the roadway. Walls are thin and we heard too much noise from other rooms and the roadway itself. Check-in used a paper card based system which, again, is decades old. There was a microwave and a mini-fridge, neither of which we used. TV was small but present. Overall, can't recommend this place.

For the 170$ it cost we expected a bit more. Some of the sheets had stains, Room was a bit smelly, There was a fly in the room, The hotel is right above the road entering Watkins Glen and has trucks running there all the time, with insufficient Noise isolation, Noisy AC and refrigerator in the room. Curtains don’t shut light out. Exterior is dirty or peeling in places. Overall - Very basic motel

We left after 1 night. The pillows were dirty and unacceptable . The second night should be reimbursed. We did not want to create a scene and ruin our nice weekend.

Owners were lovely, spacious and very clean room.

We chose this place due to its economic price. Since we only needed it to crash for the night as we travel north, we didn't need something fancy. We weren't expecting much. Very friendly folks, accommodating to us checking-in late in the night. Gave us a code over the phone to the keyless entry lock. Please call ahead if you are arriving late to check-in. The office does close at a certain time. Have in mind that the office is these peoples home so don't go barging inside like I did and find them in their pajamas (Sorry). Also, there's no business center, which I did need, but nothing I couldn't do without. It took us a couple of turns to realize where the path up to the house was. Perhaps some road reflectors at the edge of the entrance would've helped. However, when we entered the room it was spotless. It felt good to walk in. I felt comfortable to walk barefoot (though I didn't). I wasn't planning to take a shower but I did because it was so clean and smelled clean. Very humble place but well maintained and cleaned. The beds were comfortable and clean, so were the towels. It had the usual amenities: TV, wi-fi, table, chair, coffee pot, microwave and mini fridge which we didn't use. It even had a hair dryer and complementary toothpaste, but I do suggest you bring your own toiletries. I wish they had an extra mirror though. Maybe a rectangle one outside the bathroom. Though the view outside was picturesque, I wouldn't say gorgeous. I def recommend this place.

The morning sunrise was great. Do not judge this place from the outside. The rooms are updated and ver nice and clean. The staff are very accommodating and friendly. We had a fantastic stay.

Beautiful view from room

We were looking for a lower cost option in the area and choose this property. Ratings are comparing it to other similar properties. This is a little farther outside of town than I would have preferred. A 30min walk without sidewalks the full way. The room was so damp. This was our main concern and would not return for that reason. Other than that, everything was fine.

Everything was fine. A little noisy (not late at night all quiet then) footsteps above me. When people were sitting outside you could hear them talking. TV was kind of strange and limited in channels. I could not get local channels - perhaps it was my error? I would stay there again. Nice staff, clean, comfortable, great location. Perfect for me; great night's sleep.

Loved the view of the lake. Room was big and close to everything.

Excellent value for the price, and it lives up to its name (Gorgeous View). Very thin partition walls mean guests can hear their neighbors and vice versa.

Nice location. Friendly owner accommodated us for a late check in. Comfy bed. Would have liked a comfy chair but room was clean and had good amenities; cups, frig, microwave, tv, WiFi, etc.

I honestly have nothing positive to say because the guy running the place was very disrespectful and rude. He kicked my husband and I out because I have a service dog and he apparently doesn’t like dogs. He even called the police on me. My dog is my medical alert dog and my hearing assistant due to a genetic condition that I was born with. We were there to spend our anniversary and my birthday but that’s ok because we found a much nicer place to stay and the staff were much more accommodating and respectful.

The owners were amazing and attentive. The location is very convenient for getting around town and the view was very nice. The room was comfortable and had everything I needed including WiFi.

Not really a hotel, it’s run like an Airbnb. No one is on site, you need to call them to set up a time to check in. The property needs an update, the driveway/pavement is past worn out. The towels and wash cloths are worn out. The rooms are very basic. The price was way to high for the room. I would not stay here again unless the price was less than 3 digits…they rejected my review because I tried to use the prices I paid…Expedia does not want you to know the full truth!

Took a trip to the Glen and nearby falls. The Gorgeous View was a great place to stay as everything was within a 10 minute drive. The staff and owner were friendly. Neat and clean rooms with comfortable beds. Great for anyone not needing fancy. I'd stay here again if I'm ever in the area.

Difficult and steep access to the motel from Route 14 and driveway could use repaving. Very clean room, recently upgraded, but very basic.

The only thing I am looking for when traveling is a good night sleep. And I slept excellent here. loved my mattress and the pillows. (The bed made hollow metallic sounds every time I needed to get off because it has a metal-sheet frame. It is weird though) The room was exceptionally clean too. The driveway was a tricky thing: I had brand new tires, just replaced the whole set, and i skidded EVERY time I was going up using lowest gear. That was actually concerning. Gave me adrenaline boost... Sleep was great! I am very thankful!

What you see is what you get. Would definitely stay again. Good value. Exceptionally clean. Great view of Seneca Lake. No frills. Straight-out of the 60's (which we enjoyed). Drive-up motel without room service, breakfast, pool, etc. Vehicle required. Not within reasonable walking distance of Watkins Glen.
