We stayed for 7 nights in a 1 bedroom with living room & kitchen. The staff was wonderful! I especially appreciated the delicious breakfast & hot coffee every morning. The free shuttle to the park&ride for Brighton or Snowbird, and the hot tub was very hot and had powerful jets. I also loved the location with amazing restaurants across the parking lot. It was a very good value and I would definitely stay again.

It was really nice place to stay. The area was good with a few nice restaurants and some places to take a walk. You do need a car to get to more options. The view was really pretty right at the base of the hills . Absolutely loved that location. Amazing sunset view from the 4th floor. Pool and hot tub area was nice and options for sitting outside with a fire pit as well. It felt like a low key casual luxury. Not fancy and stuffy but just simple quality. I really liked it. Cons: pillows. We’re so hard , feather pillows that compacted under my head and gave me a head ache all night. Finally the last night I realized I could use a couch pillow ( we had a small sectional) and that was better. But I have a very sensitive head so that’s more of a personal issue. Would definitely recommend staying.

I've stayed at many hotels, and this one ranks among my favorites. Its location was convenient—just about 20 minutes from the city—and the surrounding area felt safe. The staff at check-in were friendly and thorough, which made a great first impression. Parking was both easy and free, which was a definite bonus. Our room was clean and well-maintained, a testament to the quality of the housekeeping team—kudos to them. I sometimes feel anxious staying in hotels, but here I felt both safe and comfortable throughout my stay. The pool was also well-kept, which added to the positive experience. Although we didn’t use it, the hotel offers a shuttle service until around 8 or 9 p.m. that will take you anywhere within a 5-mile radius—another convenient feature. If we return to the area, we’ll definitely stay here again.

I loved staying at the Hyatt Place and will definitely come back. It was very convenient to the skiing and I loved the many choices for the breakfast buffet. Also, the jacuzzi was great and the gym. Will definitely stay there again on my next trip to Salt Lake City.

We stayed here for a couple days while visiting Salt Lake City. Very nice location and felt safe. Hotel was very clean and staff was prompt and friendly. Outdoor pool was very nice and clean. Would stay here again.

It doesn’t have any water bottles refill, the coffe and teas station it’s just with the breakfast hours and no at night or any other time, we didn’t even have hot water for our teas, the bathroom door didn’t have a handle (it was broken), and in our room we didn’t have shower gel (it was empty)

Overall good. House Keeping lacks attention to stocking items missing, like TP and Coffee used prior times. Both line they didn’t re-stock. I guess they wanted to save a Buck. I was there for 3 days and didn’t get a replenishment.

The hotel is a very nice one. Breakfast was impressive and delicious. So many choices were offered, mostly healthy ones. The room was spacious and clean, and it met our needs. Some family members said the beds were too hard. My daughter and I were surprised at the lack of a full-length mirror. The staff was helpful and friendly.

Worst hotel I have stayed at. The beds and pillows were like concrete. The bathrooms only has a sliding glass door that might as well be a curtain. I am so disappointed.

On corner of 2 busy streets - bring sound machine and/or ear plugs. Room was nice enough and good size. Room service is every other day and the bkfst was hot but not fresh. Overall, good value and nice place to stay.

I prefer a Hyatt Place stay over other hotels because their breakfast choices are superior to other hotel chains. Also, there's always a separate sitting area in every room with a sectional sofa and ottoman. Thank you Hyatt Place.

The pool was great! The room was spacious, the staff great. The only issue was the WiFi was extremely slow. We tried to stream a show and it kept stopping to with catch up or disconnect.

Our hotel room wasn’t ready when we checked in because there had been a lot of late check-outs. It ended up taking 1 1/2 hours and no one notified us when it was ready. The front desk staff was unprofessional and condescending about the whole situation. We never even received an apology for the delay. The room was very clean though, so we appreciated that.

Check in staff not so welcoming. My credit card was charged for incidentals upon arrival then at 0230 another unknown charge was charged. Room was clean.

Quality hotel and very clean. However, had an issue checking in with the night staff. Hotel was pre-paid for with family members card, that family member wasn’t present and they wouldn’t accept the specific card for a $25 room deposit, after the room was paid for. Alternative cards weren’t working as I’m not an American citizen. I was then threatened by the staff member to have my reservation cancelled as I showed frustration with the matter. This took place before 11 PM and after a full day of driving. I would have been forced to find another hotel mid night. There was no attempt to try and fix the issue or find an alternative route. I waited an hour in the lobby trying to find a way around this. Cash was not to be accepted. I had a letter written from my father which included his drivers license and signature, this was showed to the staff member at the beginning but wasn’t accepted; no attempt to contact my family member was made. However, after an hour the staff member finally accepted the credit card along with the written letter.

Quality hotel and very clean. However, had an issue checking in with the night staff. Alternative cards weren’t working as I’m not an American citizen. I was then threatened by the staff member to have my reservation cancelled as I showed frustration with the matter. This took place before 11 PM and after a full day of driving. I would have been forced to find another hotel mid night. There was no attempt to try and fix the issue or find an alternative route. I waited an hour in the lobby trying to find a way around this. Cash was not to be accepted. I had a letter written from my father which included his drivers license and signature, this was showed to the staff member at the beginning but wasn’t accepted; no attempt to contact my family member was made. However, after an hour the staff member finally accepted the credit card along with the written letter.

I really enjoy staying at Hyatts, and the Cottonwood location was no exception. It was nice, clean, and quiet--but really impressed me was the excellent staff. The front staff were SO kind and friendly. They helped me with some printing and greeted me like family. I would 100% stay at this location again.

Our only issue was when we tried to call front desk/gallery host in the evening, as we needed a “do not disturb” door sign, and it was a busy signal for 1/2 hour. So I walked down to lobby, there were 3 girls eating off to the side, and requested a sign. The hotel employee couldn’t find one, but ended up delivering one to us soon thereafter. It was just frustrating that we couldn’t get thru to front desk from our room, what if we had an emergency? I mentioned this to staff at checkout time. Otherwise, clean room, delicious breakfast!

Check in on the Sunday. Arrived early (about 12) and we knew we did but got a rude reception from lady at the reception (blonde hair lady). Returned about 2pm to get another rude reception but room was ready. We were here for 4 nights and room only serviced once which I thought was strange. Construction work being done in the hallways and smell left in hallway and rooms. We will be back in salt lake numerous times over the next 3 yrs and not sure if I will give this Hyatt place another try.

We had a long stay at the airport and it was nice to come to clean and quiet hotel. Staff was courteous and helpful in answering all my questions and accommodations. I would recommend this hotel.

This was the best stay I’ve had for years! I picked it for convenience and quality of property… but the STAFF WAS AMAZING! Both the day and evening shifts. I felt like the problem child, asking to change rooms, adding on my stay then changing my mind to my original plans and cancelling the add on. They were so kind and never made me feel like I was unconvincing them. They went out of their way to accommodate. I will definitely stay at Cottonwood Hyatt again when I’m in town!

We stayed here for a couple days while visiting Salt Lake City. Very nice location and felt safe. Hotel was very clean and staff was prompt and friendly. Outdoor pool was very nice and clean. Would stay here again.

Friendly and hospitable staff in a convenient but quiet location. We were just passing through so we were happy to be away from the hustle bustle, but also able to check out downtown SLC in a time crunch.

The hotel is very convenient to the ski areas .shopping and restaurants. The breakfast is good. The only drawback is it sits right on the main road so noisy for sleeping.

Close to freeway offramp/onramp, close parking, clean accomodations, nice open room, good bed and good breakfast. Good place to stay for skiing or if downtown slc doesn't suit your needs.

The hotel is a very nice one. Breakfast was impressive and delicious. So many choices were offered, mostly healthy ones. The room was spacious and clean, and it met our needs. Some family members said the beds were too hard. My daughter and I were surprised at the lack of a full-length mirror. The staff was helpful and friendly.

The amenities are meager. They should do away with the bar, because it's hardly a bar. Additionally, they won't serve you if you don't place an order for food. No one would want to have a drink next to the front desk. It's hardly a restaurant for food.

Good stay, would have given a 5 star rating, but the breakfast offered wasn’t ready, everything was eaten and not replaced. Got there at 8 am so felt like food should have been available at that time. Besides that it was nice. Perfect stop while traveling back to California from Wyoming.

I like to stay with hotels that offer continental breakfast and this hotel is the FIRST that does NOT include muffins or sweet bread. They had them for sale for $5.00. The rest of the breakfast choices was ok. I also had to buy dinner there in order to have a beer. Did appreciate the cleanliness of the room.

The food ordering set up is misleading. Online it appears as if you go into a restaurant/lounge. You actually order at the front desk and you're required to purchase food to order alcohol.

Room was great. Breakfast could be better. The coffee between the different carafes was crazily inconsistent on Monday morning; one had actual coffee, while two had barely stained hot water. Also on Monday, the breakfast kitchen was half cleaned up at 9:10am, 20 minutes before closing time while the lead cook walked around and socialized with staff.

During our stay we were going to have our room cleaned on the third day however we missed the cleaning time I guess because we returned n nothing was done. Also there were times when using the basin in the bathroom a foul smell would come out from the drain. It didn’t last long but it would have been nice not to have the smell period. All in all it was a nice stay near the freeway on and off.

Everything was great, but my son was in process of moving 30+ hours to UT and we stayed here for 4 days bringing in many valuables. We had left (he thinking I took, I he took) 3 Amazon gift cards and his gaming keyboard. We called that next day after leaving to inquire. "We will check with housekeeeping and call you back". No call. Called again next day, same thing - only this time they said "will call back by noon". This went on for several days. We all know the longer it takes, the more it becomes inevitable. DAYS and ATTEMPTS later to contact THEM, they never contacted me, the last person put me on hold and literally 30 seconds later said, "Sorry, nothing was found". Left a really bad feeling. PRAISES everywhere else, but honestly - it was our error, I get that, but I also feel like MAYBE it could have been found, but the lack of communication left much to be desired, sadly.
