The house was in a very nice location, near many places we wanted to go. There were a couple restaurants within walking distance. The house was very interesting historically. They maintained the character of the house while making sure it had all the necessary amenities. The breakfast was prepared individually for us and it was delicious. There was parking on site.

This was a very beautiful historic house in a very beautiful town. The grounds are lovely and it is a short ride to the Historic Town of Smithville. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a charming getaway!!

I am so happy we booked here. Wonderful stay. Looking to book again in the fall. Staff were extreamly nice & helpful. Breakfest was delicious! Rooms were very clean. Grounds were beautiful.

I don't know how many times I can review! We are addicted to this fabulous property. Nothing disappoints. SO personal, grounds are gorgeous and peaceful, breakfast delish. Friends stayed as well, which we've done several times. Thank you my Pitney family for another perfect stay!

The property is beautiful. The staff was lovely, very friendly. Breakfast was delicious. They has snacks as well which was very nice after a 2 hour drive. My husband and I really enjoyed ourselves and will return.

When traveling alone, a B & B is always my best option. I feel safe and comfortable. Pitney House had a wonderful breakfast, the staff was extremely pleasant and attentive. I ate outside both mornings which was lovely. Nearby attractions kept me busy during the day. Pitney house also offered snacks and drinks during the afternoon which I appreciated. I highly recommend staying here.

House was an amazing historical experience. Loved the homecooked breakfast and morning kitchen sounds. House was beautifully decorated. The only suggestion we had would be to place a small heater in room 8. The electric fireplace does not give off enough heat. They were kind enough to bring one on the second day. Great service and would visit again.

Great decor, environment, breakfast, and service. Only “complaint” or “gripe” would be the bed quality left me a big sore the next morning. I would definitely come back again maybe once per month with my girlfriend. A nice getaway spot for Jersey folks if you don’t want to travel super far.

Really enjoyed my stay in this lovingly restored historic property a short drive from Atlantic City and Cape May, perfectly situated to explore South Jersey. I arrived late at night and check in was so easy, the innkeeper had laid out instructions, everything was well lit, and it felt very welcoming. It is a historic property so that does come with thinner walls and creaky floors, and window air conditioners. However, with the overall charm and welcome I felt in this beautifully maintained property, I felt at home and very relaxed in no time.

Stayed here for one night and the room was clean and very nice. Bathroom was very small though. Felt like home. Breakfast the following day was absolutely amazing!!! The only drawback was the noise level in the morning. But overall, I had an amazing time and the staff was very accommodating. I will return in the future.

We have stayed at The Jonathan Pitney B & B several times and a few times in the Carriage House. This time was Memorial Day weekend and we stayed overnight in the lower level of the Carriage House. We could hear our neighbors talking till all hours in the morning and there was a party at the house next door with loud music. Our first unpleasant night!! But we will be back........

Positives: Beautiful room and building . Immaculate. Area in need of improvement : Our room was number three, which is in front of the house, which is located on a somewhat busy road . Traffic was quite noisy at times during the night and in the morning. The breakfast was lovely, but the other guests were so loud in the dining room (which was quite small) that we could not even hear the waitress explain our breakfast options -nor could I hear the other person at my table . The man at the table behind us was shouting to the man at the table next to his. The atmosphere was like a bar at 1 in the morning, not a B and B at 10:00 on a Sunday morning . No one who worked there addressed this disruption of peace and we had to eat as fast as we could (and forgo any conversation with each other ) to get out of there as quickly as possible. It was so shocking and disappointing that the disrespectful guests did not understand the idea of using “indoor voices “ and equally disappointing that this situation was not rectified. We checked out immediately.

Beautiful historical B&B! Our host Tracy was beyond wonderful! Home cooked and personalized breakfast to top it off! Our family of 6 adults were in for a wedding in nearby Smithville and we couldn’t be happier about our stay! I would highly recommend Jonathan Pitney House, and I hope we will get to visit again in the future! Mike Scalera

This was a very beautiful historic house in a very beautiful town. The grounds are lovely and it is a short ride to the Historic Town of Smithville. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a charming getaway!!

Really enjoyed my stay in this lovingly restored historic property a short drive from Atlantic City and Cape May, perfectly situated to explore South Jersey. I arrived late at night and check in was so easy, the innkeeper had laid out instructions, everything was well lit, and it felt very welcoming. It is a historic property so that does come with thinner walls and creaky floors, and window air conditioners. However, with the overall charm and welcome I felt in this beautifully maintained property, I felt at home and very relaxed in no time.

When traveling alone, a B & B is always my best option. I feel safe and comfortable. Pitney House had a wonderful breakfast, the staff was extremely pleasant and attentive. I ate outside both mornings which was lovely. Nearby attractions kept me busy during the day. Pitney house also offered snacks and drinks during the afternoon which I appreciated. I highly recommend staying here.

I am so happy we booked here. Wonderful stay. Looking to book again in the fall. Staff were extreamly nice & helpful. Breakfest was delicious! Rooms were very clean. Grounds were beautiful.

I don't know how many times I can review! We are addicted to this fabulous property. Nothing disappoints. SO personal, grounds are gorgeous and peaceful, breakfast delish. Friends stayed as well, which we've done several times. Thank you my Pitney family for another perfect stay!

The property is beautiful and very well kept. There are a nice amount of amenities, snacks and beverages to choose from at all hours. Check in was quick and easy. Breakfast was fantastic! The staff was very friendly and inviting!

Very nice B&B. Would definitely stay there again. Very limited amenities, so bring your favorite shampoo, body lotion, shower gel, etc. We didn't have hot water, so they had to move us to another building. The room we moved to was larger with a nice sitting area outside. Also, great breakfasts.

Everything was great. It is an interesting place. Breakfast was superb. The only downside was that there was no one there to greet us when we arrived. They had an envelope with our name on it in a box with instructions. In the morning, I went up to the tower/widows walk to see the view. Then we had the great breakfast and conversations with the inn keeper. It is convenient to the regions attractions.
