It was within just a few feet from a restaurant, bar, and shopping. Murphys is a a cute quaint town. The staff was friendly. Our room was upstairs. They had a downstairs little living area with games, microwave, etc. where you can sit down and play a game of chess, have a glass of wine, etc. We would stay there again.

Liked the hotel's location. It's in the middle of everything. You can walk to bar's, wine tasting, restaurants and shopping. They have a restaurant bar/bistro right next to them. Stayed in room 10 which had a nice balcony to sit and sip wine ir your favorite beverage. Highly recommend this hotel. Will definitely use this hotel if we go back. Only thing is the parking, it could he a hassle if the lot is full. We never had any issues. 👍💯

I was greeted by Victoria, the owner, who could not have been more gracious and kind. I love this place there’s coffee and tea and brownies and cookies and various common areas. There’s a lovely restaurant which is a tenant the hotel right below. And it’s tucked into the beautiful town of Murphys, CA . A cozy & peaceful escape.

Very nice property in a great location in the center of a very welcoming little town. Room was small, but had all conveniences and then some. In-house restaurant was excellent. Breakfast does not start until 8:30, not convenient for travelers getting an early start.

The breakfast was continental with some nice options. Everything was fresh and nicely laid out. The room was clean and quaint and I loved my balcony overlooking the bistro below. The staff was great and extremely welcoming. I felt like I made new friends in my short stay.

Lovely quick last minute stay. Staff was friendly, our room was small but clean and cozy with nice high ceilings. Other rooms appeared larger. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom with clawfoot tub was quaint - loved it! They haven’t done full breakfast since Covid but the continental breakfast was nice and convenient and there are restaurants in the immediate vicinity. No TV which we didn’t mind but good to know. Would stay again.

The staff here was very nice. The location is convenient for downtown Murphys. The morning food was very good. That being said our room was extremely rundown small smelly nasty carpet. Smelled like pets smoke and room deodorizer. It was very creepy. Will not stay here again.

It's cute butique bed and breakfast. Staff is really nice. We had room #6 - it's really tiny. There is no refrigirator or TV. Bathroom is well equipped, but there is dust on the boards and nobody cleaned, changed towels or removed the trash during our stay(3 nights). Breakfast is ok, but pretty limitted and starts late (8:30am), so if you're going to hike early you're on your own.

Cute little place, but rooms were terribly small. Bathtub/shower was really tiny (claw foot tub). Also - no where to sit and relax. Sitting on the bed proved to be a challenge. I was COVERED in lint, which was so frustrating. Bring a lint roller!!!! Bed was super hard and stiff, woke up with a strained back and neck. Be prepared to either freeze or be too hot, as the air control for your room is connected to two other rooms, and is in the hallway where anyone can adjust at anytime. Definitely cute, but don't expect to be comfortable.

Our room was quaint and clean. A romantic place! It was fun to sit on the balcony and sip some wine we had purchased at one of the many wineries in town. It's a beautiful area and everyone we met was pleasant and fun.

We have stayed at the Victoria Inn before. It is a charming place that we have always enjoyed. The A/C unit was a little ambiguous and we inadvertently set it so that we woke up hot in the middle of the night. It took several tries to get it cool again. Sleeping in late was nice, but construction noise from next door disturbed our sleep. Overall, it is still worth it. I chalk these things up to our own need to read the instructions more carefully and I am not too concerned about construction. People need to work. It is the sound of families being fed. The room and staff were wonderful. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was quaint and lovely. We would come back again.

A charming hotel in the wonderful town of Murphy's! All the staff were very welcoming and the breakfast often has avocado and boiled eggs for a healthy and delicious continental breakfast. Our room had a little balcony, perfect for watching the sunset whilst enjoying local wines. Freestanding bath was a plus!

The rooms are very quaint and cute. They thought of some of the smallest things to make the stay comfortable and easy! The front desk staff was very personable and the breakfast was surprising - fresh fruit, breads, etc. We will definitely stay again!!

The location was perfect for how we wanted to spend a couple of days. In the heart of Main Street with several shops, reataurants, and wine tasting opportunities. A quaint little town with lots of character. Restaurants of note:The V Restauranat, Grounds, Murphy's Pour House, Murphy's Irish Pub, all a few stept from the Inn.

Super cute inn with a lovely breakfast included. A half block off Murphy’s Main Street, so you are completely walkable to all the restaurants, shops, tasting rooms et al. if you haven’t been, Murphys itself is one of the best of the historic Gold Country towns, and a great spin for history, arts (theater scene) and wine aficionados.

A half block off Murphy’s Main Street, so you are completely walkable to all the restaurants, shops, tasting rooms et al. if you haven’t been, Murphys itself is one of the best of the historic Gold Country towns, and a great spin for history, arts (theater scene) and wine aficionados.

Lovely quick last minute stay. Staff was friendly, our room was small but clean and cozy with nice high ceilings. Other rooms appeared larger. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom with clawfoot tub was quaint - loved it! They haven’t done full breakfast since Covid but the continental breakfast was nice and convenient and there are restaurants in the immediate vicinity. No TV which we didn’t mind but good to know. Would stay again.

The rooms are very quaint and cute. They thought of some of the smallest things to make the stay comfortable and easy! The front desk staff was very personable and the breakfast was surprising - fresh fruit, breads, etc. We will definitely stay again!!

I was greeted by Victoria, the owner, who could not have been more gracious and kind. I love this place there’s coffee and tea and brownies and cookies and various common areas. There’s a lovely restaurant which is a tenant the hotel right below. And it’s tucked into the beautiful town of Murphys, CA . A cozy & peaceful escape.

It's cute butique bed and breakfast. Staff is really nice. We had room #6 - it's really tiny. There is no refrigirator or TV. Bathroom is well equipped, but there is dust on the boards and nobody cleaned, changed towels or removed the trash during our stay(3 nights). Breakfast is ok, but pretty limitted and starts late (8:30am), so if you're going to hike early you're on your own.

The breakfast was continental with some nice options. Everything was fresh and nicely laid out. The room was clean and quaint and I loved my balcony overlooking the bistro below. The staff was great and extremely welcoming. I felt like I made new friends in my short stay.

Having been staying at this Inn for the past 8 years unfortunately I have to report thing have changed.This Inn used to be so special for a romantic fun time.Before COVID it was nice in the morning sitting having their wonderful small breakfast inc in room price meeting other guests. During COVID we stayed also a few times which breakfast was not served but explained that it will definitely return and understood.Returning 2 times over the past 2 years breakfast wasn`t included as well as prices increased. This week I returned and paid close to $200.00 for a standard room. Front desk ladies were very nice,room ok but no amenities except normal room soaps.Even coffee in there small library isn't even fresh.Nothing at all memorable or romantic. So sad a special inn next to great restaurants has nothing beyond a room to offer.There are many other nice hotels around wine country which makes their guest feel special like a glass of wine,breakfast rolls and at much less price., Won`t be returning.

A charming hotel in the wonderful town of Murphy's! All the staff were very welcoming and the breakfast often has avocado and boiled eggs for a healthy and delicious continental breakfast. Our room had a little balcony, perfect for watching the sunset whilst enjoying local wines. Freestanding bath was a plus!

It’s the perfect stay in the middle of town, walkable to everything don’t miss the park the block below Main Street. The hotel was perfect and quaint, breakfast was just what we needed! All around a lovely stay, wish we had time for more nights!

Room #8 was quiet and set back. Though the room itself is not large, the bathroom was. The bed was comfortable. The room has an effective and very quiet split system for air conditioning. If you're looking for a great view from your balcony, this is not the room for you, because besides are partial tree view, it is mostly blocked by a building structure / roof directly in front of you. We did not mind this, but some might be disappointed. (Photo of balcony from bathroom attached.) Breakfast was good and had a good selection compared to most continental breakfasts, but you should know that breakfast begins at 8:30 AM in fitting with a more B&B experience. Also, besides the breakfast service coffee, there is DIY Kuerig coffee available at all times near the rooms.

When we arrived we were very pleased with Marjorie's Welcome. She answered all of our questions and got us settled in immediately. The room was very nice and cozy. It was very convenient to be on the ground floor, the bed was extremely comfortable , and the air conditioner was great ( not loud like other hotels). We enjoyed the surrounding area which was very quiet. The room and bathroom were clean! We enjoyed the coffee pods in our room, great coffee! Thank you for a very pleasant stay.

Totally recommend the Victorian Inn off Main St in Murphys! The rooms are clean, comfortable and have all the necessary amenities. There are a variety of different types of rooms, all different and uniquely decorated. The convenience of the well supplied continental breakfast and the V Restaurant or V Bistro right downstairs was perfect. Big happy and appreciative shout out to Marjorie and Laura who helped with recommending spots to visit in town as well as enabling us to add another night to our stay! Plus Debi and cleaning team make all the rooms sparkle! We are definitely going back with two more friends hopefully soon. We checked out the anniversary suite which will work wonderfully for two friends. Can’t wait to go back!

Cute little Victorian inn right in the middle of downtown Murphy. Everything is just steps from the door. The “continental breakfast” was fresh and delicious, the room was clean, the bed was comfy and the staff was friendly and professional. We would definitely stay again.
