The property is supposed to be a “luxury product” but it is not. Here are few items to share: -no coffee/tea in the room. Even a basic economy hotel rooms have coffee/tea as in room amenity. -I messaged the property/ mentioned at the checkin that we are celebrating a birthday. There was nothing done to make us feel special. - I found out that there is free coffee/pastry offered in the bar for guests. No one mentioned this during check in. - Had a dinner at Jean George on Sunday. The service was extremely slow despite only having 6 tables, 1 waitress was taking care of the whole section. In addition, food was disappointing given the reputation and prices. I don’t think I’d stay at this property next time.

Room number 2 very nice , with the exception of being located over the dining room . We all have degrees of tolerance , but the music volume too high till 10;30 , which in turn raises the level of customers having to scream at each other to hear . Restaurants continually get this so so wrong

We had a wonderful 40th anniversary overnight visit to the Topping Rose House The room and restaurant was wonderful. My only problem was the music that woke us up from the kitchen getting ready at 7 am!!!!!

Overall it was a great stay! Best part of the cottage was the bathroom with its deep big tub and walk in shower. But the room itself lacked visual appeal & some conveniences usually associated with booking a cottage which is more private and removed from the house. Could use more and better art in the room. I would also trade all the storage space for a mini fridge, tea kettle or coffee maker. Also the only full-size mirror is hidden far back in the bathroom which isn’t terrible but very inconvenient to check the outfit before heading out the door. It’s little odd things that just made it not feel like a luxury stay. And no one mentioned to us beforehand that the sauna, gym, pool area (even though in off season) was under renovation and not available to use. The restaurant was amazing though, room service was wonderful. And staff were adorable. But I don’t know if we would book again tbh.

Overall it was a great stay! Best part of the cottage was the bathroom with its deep big tub and walk in shower. But the room itself lacked visual appeal & some conveniences usually associated with booking a cottage which is more private and removed from the house. Could use more and better art in the room. I would also trade all the storage space for a mini fridge, tea kettle or coffee maker.
