Self check in was great as we arrived late and didn’t have to disturb anyone. Clear instructions were provided for anything we could have needed. First hotel we have stayed at where the wi-fi actually worked properly.

Cute place but very small space. I feel the price was too high for the space we stayed in. No ice unless you buy at a gas station. For the price we paid, there was no breakfast either.

I really liked the way. It was decorated in cowboy style. Everything was perfect clean. It was old-fashioned country style! It was all very fresh looking not a detail was left out. I'm very comfortable and love the way I can park right in the front. Easy self check-in I will definitely be returning. Thank you so much.

Ethan is a great property manager and Lucy was a very nice cat. Clean room, quiet, everything worked, small frig, and microwave. Very good value. We’d go back.

They sent me my room number, and the code to the lock box for the room key, I can get in anytime. There is a folder in the room with all the needed information. The room is well decorated with a theme and clean.There is no desk, but they did provide a foldable side table, which helps.

The room was very nicely appointed. Carpet worn and outside appeared tired. Definitely did NOT like the contactless check in; after a long day on the road, did not want to have to try to figure out the logistics of the key in the lock box. It was unnerving having NO ONE in the office. We lost electricity for two hours during the night; very concerning as my husband has medical equipment we need electricity for and we had medication that needed to be refrigerated. I called the 24 hour number listed in the “ welcome” letter at 12: 30 am after we had no electric for an hour and guess what- no one answered and the voice mail box had not been set up. Fortunately the electricity came back on an hour later. We definitely did NOT like the fact that no one was around to address our needs.

Slightly quirky vintage motel that has been well cared for and is still enjoyable in the 21st century. Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff, even though not always on site, are still very attentive to your needs via electronic means. Internet was great. This was my second stay and I will do so again.

Small room, It would be good for hikers, we expected more. I guess we are comparing it to a bottom of the line Best Western. Bottom line we expected more. The manager was very nice and friendly. The rooms still had keys, yes the old metal keys. The bathroom counter top was SMALL, No complimentary breakfast, No coffee in the office.

Fun little quirky place to stay in Escalante. Self-check in was straightforward. Met Ethan who came by during a brief power outage to make sure everything was in order - very friendly. Conveniently located with easy walks to food (although Escalante isn’t that big). Liked the suite arrangement for the four of us. Would recommend Cowboy Country Inn! Thanks!

Smell of mold covered up with air fresheners. I let after 2 hours. Reported this to Expedia. Impossible to get through. Just received an email from hotel with check out procedures. This is an absentee landlord hiding behind old covid protocol.

The cowboy decor was pretty interesting Must have been fun for someone to put it together. Had a suite which we did not expect. Very clean. Managers came out to greet us and asked how they could be more helpful. Very pleased over all. Definitely recommend.

Did not like no staff on site, key box self check in/out. Room had dirty drain odor when we first went in. Lighting poor. Don't like bulk hand soap dispenser which didn't work as well as bulk hand sanitizer bottle and shower soaps. Sorry, won't rebook or recommend.

The cowboy theme was fun. There were great chairs outside each of the rooms so you could sit in and relax. To me, the memory foam bed was a bit too soft, but it wasn’t bad. The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful and responsive.

This is a great place to stay with very comfortable beds and plenty of room to spread out your stuff. The bathroom was small but the shower was large. Our sink needed the faucet fixed so that was the only negative at all. I loved the location and the bed was perfect.

Maybe the funnest of all the places we stayed during our 9 day road trip. The room was extremely comfortable, with two queen beds in separate quarters. The attention to detail everywhere, from the outside parking decoration to the inside, it was such a welcome surprise. Owner was attentive, check in easy. The location is great, righ off Main Street and walking distance to a great pizza place!

The hotel was very nice, clean and easy to find. We're handicapped and the bed was very high...but that's the only thing we can say that we didn't like. It was a perfect location, quiet and central to everything.

This is an older hotel, but was fixed up nicely. It's quirky in a good way! Loved the decor, very casual. We had a suite, which is two rooms. My wife and I each had our own bed and TV. The TV in my room didn't work, but we called the front desk and they came to the room and quickly got everything working. Very easy check in and out. Would definitely stay here again. We recommend this hotel!

We had two rooms for two nights. Our friend in the second room had to leave early for an emergency at home. Despite missing the deadline to cancel without penalty, the owners worked with us to get a full refund and were amazingly accommodating! We had requested a room with two beds, and we actually had two rooms sharing a bath. They have lots of “cowboy decor.” The drive from Escalante to Boulder is spectacular, and the Hell’s Backbone Grill in Boulder is exceptional!!! Pricey, but gourmet with incredible food and service. Plan an early dinner so you can drive home during daylight as the road is curvy, but oh so scenic!!!

What a wonderful surprise after a day of traveling! We arrived with all the comforts of home already in place. Ethan, one of the managers was delightfully helpful in answering all our questions. I highly recommend this secret oasis.

This cozy, homey place is great! We booked our room last minute, and Ethan was gracious to allow us in early. The cowboy decor in the room is so inviting. We enjoyed a comfortable bed with real, colored sheets, and there were thick, soft, colored towels, just like home.We would definitely stay here again!

It was nice. Room design and furnishings are a bit idiosyncratic, but it was comfortable. I loved the self-check in. The staff person with whom I interacted briefly was very pleasant and helpful. Liked being able to park right by the door to my unit. Good location in Escalante. Wifi worked fine.

This is a charming country motel (not a hotel with lots of amenities which was not an issue for us). Location is convenient to the Grand Staircase Escalante Monument. Maybe the funnest of all the places we stayed during our 9 day road trip. The room was extremely comfortable, with two queen beds in separate quarters. The attention to detail everywhere, from the outside parking decoration to the inside, it was such a welcome surprise. Owner was attentive, check in easy. The location is great, righ off Main Street and walking distance to a great pizza place!

The hotel was very nice, clean and easy to find. We're handicapped and the bed was very high...but that's the only thing we can say that we didn't like. It was a perfect location, quiet and central to everything.

Cute place but very small space. I feel the price was too high for the space we stayed in. No ice unless you buy at a gas station. For the price we paid, there was no breakfast either.

I'm not personally a fan of remote check in. Rooms are comfortable with individual themes. Good shower, decent bed. I prefer taller nightstands and for the cost, breakfast should be offered. Decent place to stay.

Small room, It would be good for hikers, we expected more. I guess we are comparing it to a bottom of the line Best Western. Bottom line we expected more. The manager was very nice and friendly. The rooms still had keys, yes the old metal keys. The bathroom counter top was SMALL, No complimentary breakfast, No coffee in the office.

Very cozy, clean, and affordable place to stay in Escalante! It's completely self check-in so you won't interact with anyone, just make sure to check your email in advance for the code for your room. We have stayed here many times when visiting the area. Walking distance to Escalante Outfitters, which has amazing pizza with sourdough crust!

The hotel is located in a small town with limited services but it is a beautiful area with a lot to see. The room was ok but the TV only offered free channels. We were unable to easily watch movies and catch up on the news. The biggest problem that the TV remote apparently worked through the wall because we were awakened by the TV going on after we went to bed and woke us up. It appears that the signal came through the wall from the room next door. The restaurant was good but the prices were a bit too high for the quality of the food and service. The breakfast provided with the room service was good. If we go to that town again, we might try another hotel because this doesn't stand out in our minds as being great - just OK.
