Oceana Boutique Hotel

Check in time is at 4pm. And we showed up at 6:30pm and we're told that our room hasn't been clean yet because of a mix up. Which is fine, we waited till 7pm to check in but it wasn't a good start. The bathroom had an odd smell. Kind of smelled like wet dog but it wasn't that foul. And floor was a little sticky. Also there were cockroaches. I killed a young one and a mother. One of the young ones got away because it was hiding between the shower glass door. Also Parking isn't guaranteed and AC unit is outdated. It's the really old & really loud ones. But Besides that, the refrigerator works, the microwave works, and the TV works. And staff seemed nice, just a little incompetent for not having the room ready.

I have had more comfortable beds. I think I’d bring a mattress pad next time last day and I will. It’s hard to beat the price.

Avoid this place like the plauge! Check in everything seemed fine. It's a really cute property from the outside. Upon entering my room- the door was wide open, tv on, ac off. The room is hot and dirty. The curtains in the bathroom are see through, with a big window. There is an alley way behind the bathroom that looks directly in, and there are people constantly walking around. The front window curtains only cover part of the front window. One roll of toilet paper for 4 days. No paper towels, or hand towels of any kind. The lamps dont work, so you have to stand on the bed to turn the lights on and off. There is no thermostat. There was urine all over the toilet.The first night when I went out for a smoke, encountered a young woman who said she was meeting Fernando her math dealer, to hopefully score. She then asked me if I wanted to aquire her services, then got mad when I turned her down, and told ME to leave. Next morning I walked to the beach, when I came back there was a sketchy dude on a bike with a back pack posted up right in front of my room, leaning on the window. People kept going up to him to buy something from his bag. After yelling at him, he finally went away. I only stayed one night of the 3 I booked. DO NOT stay here unless shady characters are your thing. As a woman traveling alone, this place is scary. People constantly walking by the windows being loud.

Great little spot close to the beach. Great staff and really low prices. Perfect for hanging at the beach.

My stay was a good one. Very helpful in many ways and was nice to be close to the beach
