Lovely village pub . Separate building with rooms so no noise from the pub. Double bed ,wardrobe, bed side table and lamp with a desk (tea and coffees and bottle water). Large wet room/bathroom suitable for disabled access.

Nice country pub with rooms in outbuildings. As it is a pub be prepared to evening noises coming from drinking customers especially in warm days. Convenient for having a pint or two with no driving back to the hotel. Very friendly staff and a proper breakfast. Clean all around and soft bed.

Great find for our visit to Newbury. Breakfast included, 4 options to choose from and served in the pub restaurant. Also ate there both nights, food and service excellent. Room had all you needed, large room plus walk in shower.

We received such a friendly welcome from the owners and all the staff we encountered were very friendly and the service was excellent. We never waited long for food or a drink at the bar with the landlords really keeping an eye on things. The room we had was very large and comfortable in a cottage just outside. Good choice of food which was served to perfection. We have stayed in many pubs over the years and this may have not been the poshest but was certainly one of the most welcoming. We felt very comfortable here

Pub / restaurant/ hotel. Drinks/ plenty of choice. Food/ breakfast excellent cooked to order. Restaurant food/ good food well cooked not much choice on menu although some specials were offered. Rooms/ Clean basic, tea & coffee provided with kettle. Maid service every day WiFi not available in Rooms. We weren’t familiar with this part of the world and assumed this Hotel was in area with other similar venues, this wasn’t the case in fact it was pretty much isolated from other Pubs or shops. Overall it was a nice stay with pleasant, helpful and attentive staff.

We arrived late but check in was quick and simple. Breakfast was ordered. The room was clean and serviceable and we had a good night's sleep. Breakfast was delicious.

Lovely friendly service with great food. The accommodation was well presented and had everything needed hit the room was freezing cold and only a light blanket and sheet on the bed. Even once I worked out how to turn the radiator on the room was cold as was the bathroom.

Lovely place. Excellent friendly helpful staff. Excellent food, had Brixham Plaice. Room spotless and comfortable. Beer outstanding. Will definitely stay again when i take my granddaughter back to Uni.

Staying at Ye Olde Red Lion was a fun experience. It is probably the most unique place I've stayed with its blending of old, old and new and updated rooms. I would stay here again. We were in Arran Room which was very nice other than the mattress should be replaced. It is uncomfortable. The outside grounds need some cleaning and TLC, too. (There had just been a big storm/rain which might account for some of the mess and debris around the grounds.) Overall, an interesting stay with great breakfast and friendly staff.

Nice pub and a nice area, my room was OK but was in need of some updating, also right next to the beer garden with people outside the window until after 11pm. The food was OK, need more veggie choices for my taste. Didn't feel the need to rush back but it was OK.

Arrived at about 8.45pm after a flight back to the UK, and wanted to stop rather than drive all the way home. Super friendly welcome, still happy to serve dinner - it was lovely - comfy bed, piping hot show and super breakfast. Will definitely stay again when in the area.

The staff were very friendly, and efficient. Food was fine. Accomodation was small, but adequate. Location for our trip wa excellent.

Pub / restaurant/ hotel. Drinks/ plenty of choice. Food/ breakfast excellent cooked to order. Restaurant food/ good food well cooked not much choice on menu although some specials were offered. Rooms/ Clean basic, tea & coffee provided with kettle. Maid service every day WiFi not available in Rooms. We weren’t familiar with this part of the world and assumed this Hotel was in area with other similar venues, this wasn’t the case in fact it was pretty much isolated from other Pubs or shops. Overall it was a nice stay with pleasant, helpful and attentive staff.

We arrived late but check in was quick and simple. Breakfast was ordered. The room was clean and serviceable and we had a good night's sleep. Breakfast was delicious.

Great find for our visit to Newbury. Breakfast included, 4 options to choose from and served in the pub restaurant. Also ate there both nights, food and service excellent. Room had all you needed, large room plus walk in shower.

Lovely place. Excellent friendly helpful staff. Excellent food, had Brixham Plaice. Room spotless and comfortable. Beer outstanding. Will definitely stay again when i take my granddaughter back to Uni.

Nice pub and a nice area, my room was OK but was in need of some updating, also right next to the beer garden with people outside the window until after 11pm. The food was OK, need more veggie choices for my taste. Didn't feel the need to rush back but it was OK.

I had a lovely overnight stay. The room was excellent. It was like a row of cottages just outside the main pub. It was large and comfortable and I slept very well. I had a lovely meal in the pub on the Saturday evening. Even though the pub was busy, when I went back to my room, there was little noise. The following morning I had a lovely full English breakfast (see photo), which was included in the price, before setting off for a stable visit in nearby Lambourn. They are having building work carried out, so not sure how noisy it would be during the week. But there's a nice little section in the bar, detailing their plans. Should look great when it's finished.

Although a building site still easy to access with parking etc. Staff very attentive and helpful with check-in. Room slightly weird almost a living room turned into bedroom!! Slightly cold in eve and morning with no heating on. Shower could do with a mat to assist and need to look at the amount of water that goes on the floor which can be a cause for concern. Breakfast good selection but a bit dry and overcooked on this occasion.

Great pub to stay in. The beer and food were delicious, the room was comfy and clean, but the best thing was the staff. I was made to feel welcome and looked after. The staff were a credit to the Pub.
