The Highland Hotel by Compass Hospitality

My stay at the hotel was dominated by up to 4 coach groups staying each night, the result of this was that dinner in the evening was fully booked and that if you wanted to have a full choice at breakfast it was better to go after 8:30 when the coach groups had finished eating theirs! Otherwise I enjoyed my stay in the hotel. It would have better if I’d been informed of this situation when I was making the booking

The restaurant was very poor the evening meal was tepid at best and the staff seemed overwhelmed at breakfast unable to keep up with demands of guests. On our 1st day there was virtually nothing left. The second day was slightly better but if there are coach parties it is necessary to arrive before them if you want a reasonable choice.
