This property has really generous sized rooms and good parking and is back off the road and reasonably quiet. However, the property appears neglected and rooms are 'unloved'. We had to move the couch to be able to sit and watch TV. It immediately became obvious that the couch hadn't been moved and the area underneath hadn't been vacuumed for a long time. Also under the rim if the toilet bowl hadn't been cleaned for a long time and a venetian blind was falling to bits. All of this is a pity because it could be a great property. We did sleep well!

The grounds & general lay-out of the Lodge was lovely. The actual accommodation was mediocre - edge of bench was cracked, microwave was about 100 years old, and to plug it in, it had to be moved then the cord stretched across the sink to get to the power point. To use the sink, which was placed in a corner of the bench, you had to lean in at a very awkward angle. Bathroom walls scuffed; need a jolly good paint. However, the unit was spacious & had good curtaining at the front windows. The staff were friendly, & the restaurant occupying the same site was a bonus.

There was damage in the room and no hot water in the bathroom sink. Dinning was expensive for what it was and no options for normal tastes in food. I saved money going down the road 4 minutes and getting the pizza that I wanted

Very dated and requires renovation. We booked two rooms, family room was ok. The other room had major cobwebs. Smoke alarm in the drawer with a hole in the ceiling where it used to be. Unpainted patched walls and graffiti in the cupboards. Would not recommend

Absolutely disgusting I have photos power points falling off wall one was a disgusting great colour. The Venetian blind looked like it came from a rubbish tip the microwave had rust spots on top looked old too scared to use it, the bend was cracked on a lean where you made coffee. No complimentary shampoo or conditioner only a round cake soap was on towels. The bathroom door did not close properly the bathroom door inside had been scratched by an animal maybe a dog looks old there was a hole in the door. The toilet had a brown mark on out side toilet bowl not over clean There was no coffee sugar tea milk my husband had to go to the office to get some he was given them the photos they have up are not nothing like what we had those not even a bed side lamp . MY ADVICE IS AVOID THE PLACE we paid for a disgusting place prior to strong BIG MISTAKE!!!

If I could give less than 1 star I would. My mother has cancer, COPD and a cold. The fact that she was in TEARS about the quality of her room is disheartening. Rat droppings in the cupboard and floor, cobwebs everywhere and nothing wiped down. DONT GO HERE. We paid $150 for one night and this is how my sick mother got.

Although spacious, the fire alert on the ceiling was taped on, there was unsightly stains in the shower alcove, marks on the bathroom door with a dodgy handle, hair oil stains on the couch, mixed match linen and a musty smell in the room.

This is one of the dirtiest of motels I’ve stayed at’ lots of road noise also! Couldnt wait to get out of there this morning 6.45am! Pit the bath mat in the shower to stand on as it was so bad!

Yhe bed was like sleeping on a rock. Supplied a small sachel of shampoo and no conditioner. No breakfast flyers or local attraction information. The show took 15min to get any hot water and had leaks from the wall around the shower head and the taps. The fan in the bathroom was noisy. The towel rail wasn't connected to the wall properly. The light over the vanity was hanging out of the wall by the wire. Will never stay there again.

The room is in need of repair and refurbishing. Walls had holes, bathroom had cracked tiles, toilet did not flush properly, shower had no water pressure. We had a spa room but didnt want to use it as it looked unclean and very old. The bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable. We will not be staying here again and do not recommend it.

The couple at the reception desk were very accommodating, the room we were in was in dire need of a refresh. We had no hot water, the fridge was turned off so the ice had melted making the catpet wet and the unit was unable to be heated due to the build up of dust in the heat pump filter. We would not stay here again due.

Service was friendly. Room was spacious and clean. Reasonably pruced. Only negatives were, a flickering light in main room and noise from the road. In saying this, we didnt notify reception to get it sorted and its located on a busy road. So its expected to hear the passing traffic. We found it good value and will definitely book here again when we travel here the next time.

When we got to reception it was locked. Rang the number on door and it rang out 3 times. Then had to ring the number on net to get a response. Took 15 minutes to get attention. Beds were poorly made. Won’t stay there again

You get what you pay for, no complaints as we booked last minute on a weekend. It’s one of the best priced accommodations if you’re travelling through Melbourne.

Enjoyed the stay, very convenient to event attending. dining was good. only negative was proximity to traffic noise, but it is Melbourne.

The grounds & general lay-out of the Lodge was lovely. The actual accommodation was mediocre - edge of bench was cracked, microwave was about 100 years old, and to plug it in, it had to be moved then the cord stretched across the sink to get to the power point. To use the sink, which was placed in a corner of the bench, you had to lean in at a very awkward angle. Bathroom walls scuffed; need a jolly good paint. However, the unit was spacious & had good curtaining at the front windows. The staff were friendly, & the restaurant occupying the same site was a bonus.

There was damage in the room and no hot water in the bathroom sink. Dinning was expensive for what it was and no options for normal tastes in food. I saved money going down the road 4 minutes and getting the pizza that I wanted

The property was comfortable and the room are quite large. The onsite restaurant is a must to dine at and is definitely worth a 5 star rating. Check in Parking and Staff Watch out for the large deep pothole as you drive in. The signage to the reception area needs to be updated and more visible especially advising directions to reception as well advising the undercover check in bay directly next to reception is not the checkin parking area, but is private parking for the onsite managers. We found this out the hard way when parked in what looked like the under cover check-in parking area to have the car behind us beep its horn at us. The receptionist then told us ( bluntly) to move the car as we had parked in the private area (which didn’t have signage indicating that this area was private parking). Rooms. The rooms definitely are tried and are overdue for refurbishing and definitely in need for deep cleaning scheduled to be performed, especially in the bathroom. The floor tiles are showing signs they have seen better days especially underneath the shower and are definitely in need deep cleaning. You will also notice mould on the ceiling corners. Overall with some loving being performed on the property and the management pay more attention on the guest experience journey they provide for property would become a wonderful place to stay.

The owners were lovely and helpful and the rooms were cheaper than most accommodation, however the property is very run down and very basic. You get what you pay for. Still has original 1970s fittings, curtains were dirty and coming off hooks. Walls and doors had dents and chips. I opened up the bedding to get in and found long black hairs through my bed. Turns out my parents in the room beside me had the same in their bed. The owner was very apologetic, helpful and provided new clean sheets. We stayed to have close access to Casey Hospital in Berwick and unfortunately there were not many accommodation options around the area.

OK for the price. Needs a lot of maintenance as is very rundown. Bathroom door wouldnt close - latch broken. Split system wouldnt heat room - needs filters etc cleaned. Could do with a coat of paint etc.
