Definitely need to fix the pavement to many holes easy to falll only cereal and a few store bought breakfast bars for breakfast included definitely need to take our or replace carpet gives off musty smell

They have a pool plus it's very quiet & convenient for me. The staff is alright. We have stayed there every time I go to Matagorda which it's been 3:times in the past year. Will stay there till it closes.

The receptionist asked for everyone's ID, which is very odd. I had to ask my wife and daughter ID's. The main lobby and the whole building needed to be renovated, bugs all over the place, the front door to the room would NOT lock, there was a dehumidifier in the room that was full and it made a very loud noise all night long.

We stayed there at least twice a year for the last 5 years it's always been a decent place to stay, at, friendly service ,decent rooms for the price we get there this weekend for my dad's funeral , they ate renovating, all the rooms, there's nobody staying in them the pool was nasty , rented a two queen size room and got a double it was terrible I asked him about it and they told me they didn't want to put the new beds in the room cuz it was a smoking room. I was just very disappointed this time because nowhere on their website or even through the Expedia website said that they were renovating that motel.

We stayed there at least twice a year for the last 5 years it's always been a decent place to stay, at, friendly service ,decent rooms for the price we get there this weekend for my dad's funeral , they ate renovating, all the rooms, there's nobody staying in them the pool was nasty , rented a two queen size room and got a double it was terrible I asked him about it and they told me they didn't want to put the new beds in the room cuz it was a smoking room. People were doing auto work in the parking lot, and then reving the engine loudly. Our desk clerk had no idea how to check us in. We found dirty towels in the bathroom. The “continental breakfast” was rotten fruit.

Days Inn by Wyndham Bay City is the worst place I have ever tried to stay in my life. My room was unbearable. I made it through the first night but left got out of there the next morning even though my stay was supposed to have another night. The bathroom was filthy, the toilet didn't work (I fixed it myself so it would flush), the smell in the entire room was like stale urine. I've never seen anything like it. While the room wasn't as expensive as some are, it was not cheap. The management said later they gave me a larger room so I can't imagine what the others look like. I will never recommend this place to anyone, and I'm not inclined to give bad reviews to anyone. Please choose something else, otherwise, I guarantee you will either be sorry or you'll have to put up with the smells and germs. No, I didn't get my money back for the second night because I left without checking out. So I lost over $70 plus the tax and insurance.

Check in was fast, easy, the young lady that did the check in was awesome. Very quiet at night, the room was very clean, bed was great. The guy doing the continental breakfast was a joke, rasin brand, fruit loops, 3 old danish, cold coffee, nothing else was offered

The property was where my association was having an event, so to stay there was a convenience. The room was nice and clean…just old. The hotel itself needs renovating. The people were nice and friendly. The only thing I will say negative is that I was sent a text for online check in. I filled it out and sent it back. I get to the counter for the key, I have to fill out the same paperwork all over again. That didn’t make any sense. The room rate was excellent, but no breakfast.

People were doing auto work in the parking lot, and then reving the engine loudly. Our desk clerk had no idea how to check us in. We found dirty towels in the bathroom. The “continental breakfast” was rotten fruit.

Definitely need to fix the pavement to many holes easy to falll only cereal and a few store bought breakfast bars for breakfast included definitely need to take our or replace carpet gives off musty smell

The property was where my association was having an event, so to stay there was a convenience. The room was nice and clean…just old. The hotel itself needs renovating. The people were nice and friendly. The only thing I will say negative is that I was sent a text for online check in. I filled it out and sent it back. I get to the counter for the key, I have to fill out the same paperwork all over again. That didn’t make any sense. The room rate was excellent, but no breakfast.

Their breakfast menu sucked! Candy bars and cereal with no milk don't cut it. I doubt I'll staying at Days Inn again. Not the first time they disappointed.

I was very disappointed with our stay at the Days Inn in Bay City. The hotel is run down and not well care for. Their breakfast options are limited and not very appetizing. We reserved a room there specifically for the pool but when we arrived, we were told it was closed due to the inclement weather but that if the weather cleared up, it would be reopened. We went down to Matagorda to fish at my brother in law's campsite. Around 8, I called the hotel to see if the pool had been reopened. I was told that it was. So my husband and I left Matagorda and went back to the hotel to get a little swimming in before bed. When we got back, the pool was locked even though it was just after 9. I walked over to the front desk to inquire about it and he walked out to the pool with me to check out the situation. He told me that "oh, they must not have unlocked it after the storm passed." I asked him to please unlock the gate because it still wasn't closing time. He told me that he didn't know where the key was kept. At this point, I reiterated that we were there for the pool and if we weren't going to be able to use the pool, maybe we should just change our reservations for the next day to one of the other local hotels with a pool. At that point, he tells me that he grew up in this town and this was the only hotel in Bay City with a pool. I showed him on the app there were others. Then he says, let me get the key. I don't like to be lied to. Either he has the key or not. Will not stay again.

This is a budget hotel and I think I got my money's worth. My grandson and I were spending the day at the beach and didn't want to spend a fortune just for one night. The pictures on the hotel web site seems good and maybe a little too good to be true. When we arrived to register one could tell things were a little rough around the edges. Fixtures were dated and I could spot maintenance issues around the grounds that had not been taken care of. The room was plain with no effort at decoration. The room did have a small refrigerator and a microwave. A large TV was on the wall and had a nice channel selection. The beds were made and the floor was a vinyl imitation wood covering. It appeared clean. There was a small dressing area that offered an iron and ironing board. The vanity area had a sink with fresh towels and wash clothes but once again I could notice the age. The bathing and toilet area had a clean toilet but the tub had mold around the edges. The beds were firm but comfortable but the pillows were these small square things. The room was quiet and I was surprised the next morning to see how many people had checked in and that a storm had passed by. The staff was efficient if not overly friendly. We looked at the breakfast offering and decided to eat elsewhere. If you are looking for room this will do. You might want to bring your own pillows. I might stay again but many may want to use caution.
