This was a perfect spot for a romantic getaway. The Greystone Suite is very comfortable and visually appealing. The jacuzzi is an excellent feature and everything is well furnished. Perfect for a couple since there is only one bathroom, although it could sleep more. We would definitely come back. It was Valentine’s Day and rather than trying to find a restaurant we opted to order in and the proximity to Kingston gave us many options and we were provided with a very good list of local restaurants. Check-in was effortless and even though the manor was fully booked we enjoyed all the privacy we needed. The stone walls and wood beams, combined with nice lighting (and ample sunshine during the day) created the backdrop for our getaway.

The suite was spotless and beautifully maintained. Comfortable bed and living room furniture. The kitchen was fully equipped for preparing meals. The Penthouse suite had amazing views of the property and the St. Laurence River. This historic property is located about 10 minutes from downtown Kingston in a quiet area. The original floors and exposed limestone walls and beams add to the appeal of the suite. The owner was responsive and accommodating when we left something behind. We'll be back to enjoy the balcony or patio.

We are very fortunate to have the chapel suite (for 6 persons). It is an old building, but update with new appliances. The upstairs bath room even has Jacuzzi. It also looks as clean as the one in our house (if not cleaner) and we will actually use it if not that we had only 1 night and didn't have sufficient time to enjoy it.

A beautiful property in a peaceful, lovely setting. Check in was different but easy..We were on the 2nd floor and the stairs were a bit daunting but once up we were stunned by how beautiful, large and airy our suite was. Everything was spotless, beds were very comfortable, just lovely. A couple of things to know - no smart TV but there is a DVD player. Shower is really small, no bending over in there! If you're planning on using your own electric devices, bring an extension cord because outlets are few. Two things we would have liked: owners never responded to our required arrival text. Would have been nice to get a "welcome" back just to feel like they knew we were there. And having little signs around threatening fines for bad behavior (smoking, etc.) was kind of offputting. But otherwise, we absolutely loved this place and would recommend it highly.

So far beyond my expectations. Wish I knew about this place years ago. Older building, beautiful decor, so spacious, all the amenities and more I could have needed. Just wish I had 2-3 days at least to stay instead of just one. Will bring my spouse and stay longer next time. If you’re looking for a place that’s out of the busy area of a city (but still within a 10-15 min drive of anything you need), this is wonderful. The Penthouse Suite was huge and I loved the balcony. This room isn’t for you if you require an elevator - two flights of stairs are steep, but not concern for me. Really wish I had more time to enjoy the ‘downtime’ - this suite was larger than my first apartment and one of the smallest rooms available. 1000% better than a hotel room

Overall, our stay was great. However, some amenities could use an upgrade, such as the TVs, hairdryers, and especially the beds. The beds were quite uncomfortable, and none of us managed to sleep through the night. The bedside light switches were also very inconspicuous—we only realized they were light switches when we were about to check out. Other than that, everything was wonderful. We really loved the decorations and the overall atmosphere.

The property was built in 1817, beautiful historical building with modern interior and amenities. We stayed at Whitney suite, it was incredibly spacious, well appointed. Well equipped kitchen. Has washer and dryer, with a small supple of detergent. Huge patio Very quiet neighborhood Top notch

We stayed in the Chapel Suite which was absolutely beautiful. Living room, huge kitchen, two full bathrooms and a king bed. The hosts provided an information booklet (electronically) ahead of check in which covered everything we needed to know. It was clean, comfortable and so charming. In hindsight, the only thing we would have done differently would be to have booked for all three nights of our long weekend.

Wir haben Penthouse gebucht, die sehr geräumig war und einen tollen Ausblick auf den See hatte. Leider war die Sauberkeit der Fenster und der Waschmaschine nicht so, wie wir uns das gewünscht haben. Die Wohnung war aber ansonsten sehr gut ausgestattet, reichhaltige und vollständige Küchenutensilien und eine sehr ruhige Lage. Den Gastgeber haben wir nie gesehen, die Kommunikation war aber in Ordnung. Wir hätten uns sicherlich gewünscht, bei der Ankunft jemanden für die Wohnungsübergabe live anzutreffen. Ansonsten können wir das Haus sehr empfehlen; es wirkt sehr herrschaftlich und wurde toll renoviert.

Un appartamento davvero splendido in un contesto molto curato e tranquillo. L'appartamento aveva due camere, cucina e servizi, tutto immacolato e molto curato nell'arredamento e dettagli. Una dimora con fascino storico, con tutte le amenità moderne. La zona è tranquillissima, circondato da verde e giardini. Si trova a metà strada tra Kingston e Gananoque: soluzione perfetta per esplorare l'area.

Everything was picturesque and perfect. The view from the penthouse balcony was breathtaking. We enjoyed such a peaceful sunset and sunrise. It is so private and quiet in The Penthouse Suite. The suite was very spacious, beautifully decorated and full of historic charm.

So far beyond my expectations. Wish I knew about this place years ago. Older building, beautiful decor, so spacious, all the amenities and more I could have needed. Just wish I had 2-3 days at least to stay instead of just one. Will bring my spouse and stay longer next time. If you’re looking for a place that’s out of the busy area of a city (but still within a 10-15 min drive of anything you need), this is wonderful. The Penthouse Suite was huge and I loved the balcony. This room isn’t for you if you require an elevator - two flights of stairs are steep, but not concern for me. Really wish I had more time to enjoy the ‘downtime’ - this suite was larger than my first apartment and one of the smallest rooms available. 1000% better than a hotel room

Overall, our stay was great. However, some amenities could use an upgrade, such as the TVs, hairdryers, and especially the beds. The beds were quite uncomfortable, and none of us managed to sleep through the night. The bedside light switches were also very inconspicuous—we only realized they were light switches when we were about to check out. Other than that, everything was wonderful. We really loved the decorations and the overall atmosphere.

The property was built in 1817, beautiful historical building with modern interior and amenities. We stayed at Whitney suite, it was incredibly spacious, well appointed. Well equipped kitchen. Has washer and dryer, with a small supple of detergent. Huge patio Very quiet neighborhood Top notch

Quiet and beautiful location just 20 minutes drive or so to both Kingston downtown and 1000 Islands Park. The house is unique and outstanding in the neighborhood with beautiful landscaping. Like the comfortable bedroom of classic decoration, spacious living room and well equipped kitchen. A very happy family gathering for two nights here. And by the way, the property manager is very helpful. He mailed the item I left in the house back to me. Thank you.

This was a perfect spot for a romantic getaway. The Greystone Suite is very comfortable and visually appealing. The jacuzzi is an excellent feature and everything is well furnished. Perfect for a couple since there is only one bathroom, although it could sleep more. We would definitely come back. It was Valentine’s Day and rather than trying to find a restaurant we opted to order in and the proximity to Kingston gave us many options and we were provided with a very good list of local restaurants. Check-in was effortless and even though the manor was fully booked we enjoyed all the privacy we needed. The stone walls and wood beams, combined with nice lighting (and ample sunshine during the day) created the backdrop for our getaway.

A beautiful property in a peaceful, lovely setting. Check in was different but easy..We were on the 2nd floor and the stairs were a bit daunting but once up we were stunned by how beautiful, large and airy our suite was. Everything was spotless, beds were very comfortable, just lovely. A couple of things to know - no smart TV but there is a DVD player. Shower is really small, no bending over in there! If you're planning on using your own electric devices, bring an extension cord because outlets are few. Two things we would have liked: owners never responded to our required arrival text. Would have been nice to get a "welcome" back just to feel like they knew we were there. And having little signs around threatening fines for bad behavior (smoking, etc.) was kind of offputting. But otherwise, we absolutely loved this place and would recommend it highly.

Wir haben Penthouse gebucht, die sehr geräumig war und einen tollen Ausblick auf den See hatte. Leider war die Sauberkeit der Fenster und der Waschmaschine nicht so, wie wir uns das gewünscht haben. Die Wohnung war aber ansonsten sehr gut ausgestattet, reichhaltige und vollständige Küchenutensilien und eine sehr ruhige Lage. Den Gastgeber haben wir nie gesehen, die Kommunikation war aber in Ordnung. Wir hätten uns sicherlich gewünscht, bei der Ankunft jemanden für die Wohnungsübergabe live anzutreffen. Ansonsten können wir das Haus sehr empfehlen; es wirkt sehr herrschaftlich und wurde toll renoviert.

I would highly recommend this house it was very clean with lots of space and had everything we needed. . We all fell in love with it when we walked through the front door. Our contact person Liz returned our call promptly and was extremely helpful!

We stayed in the Chapel Suite which was absolutely beautiful. Living room, huge kitchen, two full bathrooms and a king bed. The hosts provided an information booklet (electronically) ahead of check in which covered everything we needed to know. It was clean, comfortable and so charming. In hindsight, the only thing we would have done differently would be to have booked for all three nights of our long weekend.

The suite was spotless and beautifully maintained. Comfortable bed and living room furniture. The kitchen was fully equipped for preparing meals. The Penthouse suite had amazing views of the property and the St. Laurence River. This historic property is located about 10 minutes from downtown Kingston in a quiet area. The original floors and exposed limestone walls and beams add to the appeal of the suite. The owner was responsive and accommodating when we left something behind. We'll be back to enjoy the balcony or patio.

Un appartamento davvero splendido in un contesto molto curato e tranquillo. L'appartamento aveva due camere, cucina e servizi, tutto immacolato e molto curato nell'arredamento e dettagli. Una dimora con fascino storico, con tutte le amenità moderne. La zona è tranquillissima, circondato da verde e giardini. Si trova a metà strada tra Kingston e Gananoque: soluzione perfetta per esplorare l'area.

We absolutely loved staying at The Whitney for our one-night girls’ getaway. It was the perfect setup for four friends (or two couples), and the manor itself is full of charm. We especially enjoyed spending the afternoon relaxing on the beautiful front patio. Check-in was seamless, and overall we had a wonderful stay. If I had to be a little nitpicky, there were a few details that kept it from feeling like a true five-star experience. The hotel has gorgeous statement pieces, like the beautiful armoires and dressers that hide the TVs, but they’re mixed with builder-grade finishes, including some of the cabinetry throughout the hotel and in our room, along with hallway rugs and artwork that felt cheap in contrast. A more cohesive design would really elevate the space. There were also a couple of housekeeping oversights. We found a pair of stained men’s Banana Republic pants tucked into the corner of our couch, and the cream left for coffee had spoiled, which we unfortunately only discovered after taking a sip. Those were minor issues, though, and they didn’t take away from an otherwise fantastic stay. We’d absolutely return for another relaxing girls’ getaway.
