Room, bed, basically everything was good. View was great and I even got to watch the tidal bore come in; fabulous!! Place was quiet. Easy access to our room, with lots of parking.

Best-priced accommodation in Truro with absolutely zero compromise in quality, cleanliness or experience. Elevated location with an amazing West-facing (and therefore sunset-optimal) view of the river; rules are reasonable and enforced politely but firmly. Room was spotless with no pests and nicely decorated; upon inquiry, owners revealed that each room’s aesthetics (including flooring and furniture items) are unique! Amenities include minor appliances (clothing rack, drinking cups, a fridge and microwave), provided bathing supplies in a CLEAN washroom, dozens of chairs outside for guests, and borrow-bikes available on request; situated at 2 trailheads for easy Downtown access as well as a GORGEOUS municipal trail with camping opportunities along Salmon River. Bill and Lisa are very kind and knowledgeable concerning the locale and recreational opportunities; asking their advice for things to do during my stay gave me a full day of amazing experiences. Conversations with them were very positive and they have a variety of interesting stories and experiences to share: Their conduct contributed to a strong feeling of welcome in a building which looks like it should be on a postcard!

The property is up on a hill and has chairs and picnic tables beautiful sunset. We had a deer come across. The rooms are clean and set up very nice. The host are friendly and will try to help with whatever you need. 100 percent would stay here again

Tidal Bore Inn was easy to find, had beautiful grounds and chairs to sit in and enjoy the day and watch the traffic. The owner was very nice and helpful. The only thing I didn’t like was that the deadbolt didn’t work on the door. Other than that great place.

A fine older establishment with clean, comfortable rooms. Great view of the top end of the Bay of Fundy. The restaurant has been closed for some time apparently but lots of mixed dining within minutes.

I visited the Tidal Bore Inn on Saturday, June 28th, 2025 as a last minute retreat. We booked our room through a third party site, and upon arrival, there was a slight issue but the owner was very prompt, kind, and helpful. We got it resolved immediately. Our room featured a queen sized bed, a mini fridge, and bathroom. It was cozy, very clean, and no noise. We absolutely adored the view and property and recommend visiting. If you stay at the Tidal Bore Inn, theres a nearby walking trail that is only minutes from the hotel. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and will be returning. I'm very satisfied and happy we chose this spot.

Mold smelling room. Noisy AC that you have to switch off when using microwave. No coffee or tea supplies in room. Poor selection of TV channels some standard ones not available. Wont stay again.Place looks uncared for!!

This was a quick stop on our trip to the east coast and was a good stay. The room was clean. The hot water was very unpredictable as it disappeared during a shower. No coffee in the room but they offered some in the lobby.

Check-in was easy...staff was very friendly...room was very spacious and extremely clean.....had a great sleep on a comfy bed...large lawn with a view of the Tidal Bore (though I wasn't there in time to see it!). Definitely will stay again.

Room was clean and spacious. Overooked where you can watch the tide come and go. Staff was friendly. The only thing we didnt like about it was the door lock. You locked it from the inside by pushing in and turn the knob. Also was tricky to unlock with the key.

This property is an old "motel" that may be quaint at first glance, but has had little or poor maintenance. The towels are low quality, but serviceable. Molding is often pulling away from the wall and there are service marks (nail, hammer, etc) showing on some of the floor boards. (Poor maintenance skills?) When we checked into our room, the towel rack in the bathroom was hanging loose. I reported it right away, but nothing was done, and we lived with it. The male innkeeper was useless and the female innkeeper, Lisa, was intimidating and threatening because we asked for a clean bathmat. She called us weird and acted like a gulag camp councilor. It's a poorly run dump that I would never recommend to anyone. You don't have enough space here for the whole story...but we couldn't get away too soon this morning. We were threatened enough that I video'd our check out because I fear the female innkeeper may, in mean spiritness, try adding charges for ghost damages, etc. If she does...we will be in touch. Horrible, horrible, unsatisfactory dump.

This was my second stay at this property. Just as strong as the first time. It's superior to most low-end motel chains. The place is conveniently located off the interstate. It's also a great staging point for any travel into Nova Scotia or even PEI/NB if headed that direction. The staff is friendly. The twice-daily tidal bore is great. The restaurant could afford to come down. Very much appreciated!

Although an older establishment, our room was spotless and obviously has been renovated recently. The room size was good. We appreciated the table and chairs by the window overlooking the Salmon River at the bottom of the hill. Bill, the manager, was friendly and helpful, and we really appreciated the fact that the efficient and thorough housekeeping staff-person found a charger that we left behind and kept it for us! Price and location were major factors in staying there, too. Happy with our choice.

A fine older establishment with clean, comfortable rooms. Great view of the top end of the Bay of Fundy. The restaurant has been closed for some time apparently but lots of mixed dining within minutes.

Mold smelling room. Noisy AC that you have to switch off when using microwave. No coffee or tea supplies in room. Poor selection of TV channels some standard ones not available. Wont stay again.Place looks uncared for!!

This was a quick stop on our trip to the east coast and was a good stay. The room was clean. The hot water was very unpredictable as it disappeared during a shower. No coffee in the room but they offered some in the lobby.

The hotel has a great view of the Salmon River which is part of the Bay of Fundy. We were able to find good restaurants both for supper and breakfast the next morning.

There are a number of Adirondack type chairs that are on the that goat looks out over the countryside giving a nice place to sit and take in the view The furniture is old and there is no coffee maker Plugins are few and far between and there are no usb or phone type charging ports The check-in system is very manual and paper driven…they hand copy your info off the booking site while you are standing there I was lectured when I called the office and asked to be reminded of the WiFi password…said they already told me The only ice machine is in a separate building and not convenient to your room If you have an upstairs room you can’t park in front of the building and instead are asked to park in an adjacent parking The driveway entry has a sharp incline and will bottom out your vehicle unless you are going very slow which can be a problem if there is traffic There is no breakfast but the rates are high

Was a great stay, and would visit again. Although harmless, as we were about to leave a knock came to the door to remind us that check out was at 11 AM. It was 11:01 and there was no one around. Not sure why they felt this was necessary. (it just made us feel a little less appreciated) We dropped the Key at the office @ 11:05
