The hotel and its setting is lovely and conveniently placed for everything in Ely. Our room was spacious and well appointed. The copper bath was quirky and easily fitted the two of us, however there was nowhere to put a glass of wine or our towels. Some sort of mobile rail and a small table would have resolved this, in what was a very spacious bathroom. The towel rail fitting on the sink was hanging off, but once we reported this the next morning to the cleaning lady, somebody repaired it immediately. The cleaning lady was also extremely helpful with all other requirements that we asked for. The breakfasts were very tasty and the choices were fantastic. The one thing that we thought overall let down our stay was the parking facility. There are some disabled spaces and a drop off area within the hotel courtyard, however the main parking is in a small gated area within a public car park 5 minutes walk away. There are not enough spaces within this area when the hotel is at capacity. This means you then have to find suitable alternative car parking. If you feel that on-site or more convenient parking is an absolute necessity, as we do, then you will be disappointed. Having said all of this, most of the staff we met were very polite and helpful and taking into account individual parking requirements, the hotel is definitely to be recommended.

Very disappointed. 1 chair in bedroom, TV had been switched off at mains and difficult to switch back on. Booked king bed and got double. Breakfast was awful, very poor coffee, orange juice from a carton and Eggs Benedict totally overcooked with solid yolks. No pricing on breakfast menu and charged £19 per head when worth probably half that at best. This hotel could be good but really needs to look at itself especially pricing which was high end for Ely and very poor value

Wonderful welcome. Lovely room (although up two flights of stairs with no lift - the staff did offer assistance though so all good). Lovely building and our room had a wonderful view. Great breakfast. We were only there for one night but would definitely recommend.

We stayed for one night and had a wonderful time! The staff were all so friendly, approachable and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt welcomed straight away. Our room (room 12) was beautifully decorated, very spacious and spotlessly clean. The air conditioning in the room was really good. We had Sunday lunch which was lovely. The roast potatoes could’ve been crispier but everything was tasty and well presented. Breakfast was very good too. Lovely hot food from the kitchen and a nice little continental selection. The car park is a few minutes walk away but they were fine with us parking in the courtyard to unload our suitcase. We look forward to staying there again soon!
