Bella struttura, buona colazione continentale (c'era anche la Irish). Ideale per esplorare il Connemara. Unica pecca, alcune camere, compresa la nostra, al piano terra, davano sul parcheggio prospiciente le camere e avevano solo una tenda pesante per la notte e quindi nessuna privacy.

This is an excellent B&B, great in everyway, lovely room, plenty of parking space and a delicious breakfast all supplied by a friendly and helpful Patricia who explained the best place to park in Galway.

What a lovely guesthouse! It is spotlessly clean and quiet, and Patricia is a welcoming and gracious host. She prepares wonderful breakfasts each day. I highly recommend Mountain View if you want a Galway-area stay, a bit outside the city.

Lovely guesthouse, very clean and comfortable, and the Irish breakfast was delicious. Patricia was so friendly and made our family of four feel so welcome. Would highly recommend staying here!

Staff was lovely and the area is beautiful but we ended up changing where we stayed because of the age/ non cleanliness of the room and the age/ sag of the mattress

I had a fantastic stay - perfect for a business trip. Patricia made it feel like a home away from home with her hospitality and personal touches. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. Patricia was also incredibly helpful with local tips, from restaurant recommendations to navigating Galway’s traffic. I highly recommend this guest house and will definitely stay again if I'm in the area!

Patricia was an excellent hostess who made sure we were well taken care of. The room was very comfortable, and the location is in a rural location that is nonetheless easy to get to and from for nearby driving excursions. The Aughnanure Castle is only five minutes away. The breakfast was generous and delicious. Highly recommend.

Very nice bed & breakfast with our own bathroom connected to the room. Rooms are a little on the small side but comfortable. It was a cold, rainy day & when we asked about the heat we were told it was off for the summer but hostess graciously turned it on so that we could get warmed up. Very pleasant hostess who welcomed us & suggested a restaurant nearby for dinner (Powers Thatch Bar & Restaurant) which was excellent. Breakfast was home cooked by hostess & good variety. Don’t book here if you’re going to be late arriving. Last checkin is 7pm. We thought we might be late & called ahead. Hostess was gracious & told us not to worry as traffic in Galway can be a problem. We did make it before 7pm, though.

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. The rooms were spacious, charmingly decorated, and very comfortable. The location was absolutely beautiful, located in a quiet town with a fabulous old castle right down the road. What really made the trip great, however, was Patricia and her family. She was the most gracious and generous host, went out of her way several times to help us without being asked, helped give advice on the best pub for dinner, and much more. She asked what our plans were each morning, then checked in about how it went when we got back at the end of the day. She stood on the front steps to wave goodbye as we got in the taxi the morning we left. If you want to feel truly cared for during your stay, you must come here. I would come back in a heartbeat, and I’ve told my family they need to stay here if they’re ever in the area. Thank you Patricia & family!!

Patricia was so welcoming and attentive. She guided us to local shopping and Lough Corrib. Breakfast was filling. The rooms were spotless and quiet. The local area is gorgeous.

Patricia was there to greet us even though it was fairly late. She explained everything that we would need to know about the property and provided us with many options for sightseeing. Her husband makes the breads for the breakfast and they are lovely. Thank you for the lovely stay and for the warm send off.

We had an incredible experience at the Mountain View Guest House! Patricia was extremely kind and accomodating. We arrived late asking to look ariund the area, and she actually drove us to the castle nearby to arrive there before closing. As well, we had an early morning tour and Patricia went out of her way to make us an early breakfast. She was absolutely wonderful and I would highly recommend her B&B to anyone.

A lovely property to stay at. Great and friendly service. The local pub serves great food. Please be aware that it is not walking distance to the nearest village due to the lack of a footpath alongside the road.

We had a lovely stay with Patricia. Great location about 35 mins out of Galway so you can have the best of a big city then retreat to a quiet room in the country. Full Irish breakfast available and fascinating castle and Celtic garden very close by. Had a fabulous meal in nearby Oughterard at Powers Thatch too. Would recommend if you want to be a bit out of town.

This is a wonderful place to stay. The owners were friendly and knowledgeable of the surrounding areas with great tips for heading into Galway. The room was exactly as the website showed. Close to the local town and food was great!

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. The rooms were spacious, charmingly decorated, and very comfortable. The location was absolutely beautiful, located in a quiet town with a fabulous old castle right down the road. What really made the trip great, however, was Patricia and her family. She was the most gracious and generous host, went out of her way several times to help us without being asked, helped give advice on the best pub for dinner, and much more. She asked what our plans were each morning, then checked in about how it went when we got back at the end of the day. She stood on the front steps to wave goodbye as we got in the taxi the morning we left. If you want to feel truly cared for during your stay, you must come here. I would come back in a heartbeat, and I’ve told my family they need to stay here if they’re ever in the area. Thank you Patricia & family!!

Patricia was an excellent hostess who made sure we were well taken care of. The room was very comfortable, and the location is in a rural location that is nonetheless easy to get to and from for nearby driving excursions. The Aughnanure Castle is only five minutes away. The breakfast was generous and delicious. Highly recommend.

What a lovely guesthouse! It is spotlessly clean and quiet, and Patricia is a welcoming and gracious host. She prepares wonderful breakfasts each day. I highly recommend Mountain View if you want a Galway-area stay, a bit outside the city.

The breakfast was great, all the food served was hot and had good quality. The beds were very comfortable. Patricia, the owner is extremely nice and easygoing. I recommend a lot. The homemade bread served hot was awesome. Thanks Patricia for the nice stay I had.

Leider mussten wir zum Frühstück ins Dorf fahren. Aber das war OK. Das Zimmer war sehr modern und schön eingerichtet. Der Lichtschalter im Reduit müsste repariert werden.

Insgesamt war unser Aufenthalt in Ordnung. Allerdings war die Duschmöglichkeit über der Badewanne bereits für mittelgroße Menschen ungeeignet. Bein kontinentalen Frühstück hätten wir uns außer zweierlei Käse auch Schinken oder Wurst gewünscht und etwas Gemüse.

Our host, Patricia welcomed us warmly on arrival. We were upgraded to a family room upstairs which was roomy for the two of us. The ensuite was spotless and the bed very comfortable. Patricia cooked us lovely hot breakfasts plus there were plenty of Continental Breakfast options available. We would definitely stay there again if in the area.

Das Gästehaus ist was die Einrichtung betrifft zwar etwas "in die Jahre gekommen", aber es ist alles sehr sauber. Es ist alles da, was man benötigt. Die Gastgeberin Patricia ist sehr zuvorkommend und steht einem stets mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Toll ist, dass man beim Frühstück aus einem Menü wählen kann. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen :)

Very clean and lovely property with a wonderful host. Trisha was super helpful planning our day in the area. She gave great tips for other areas we were visiting as well. Breakfast was excellent and very fresh. Our room was very comfortable and extremely clean. I would highly recommend this property for any traveler in the area.

Very nice B&B. So quiet and calm. Slept there for three nights in a 4 bed room. One double and two singles. Very clean. A personal breakfast of your choice that the owner prepare for you. I felt full after every breakfast. Owner very friendly. I can recommend this B&B

Situé très au calme, c’était parfait pour faire une étape entre Galway et le Connemara. La gérante est extrêmement sympathique. Le petit-déjeuner (8h-10h) vous permet de choisir à la carte entre plusieurs petits déjeuners anglo saxons (œufs etc) mais aussi des toasts à la française avec beurre confiture. Les chambres sont grandes même si un peu vieillotes, tout comme le petit écran tv ou le wifi qui fonctionne un peu aléatoirement. Nous avons payé moins cher que si nous étions logé à Galway donc je recommande largement.

Ville de Oughterard à proximité avec choix de restaurants Petit déjeuner merveilleux, complet Irish ou continental, pain frais fait maison par Richard Dommage c'était un lit en 140, habitué à plus grand mais très confortable
