The hard working Host Margaret is very pleasant, and responds well to phone calls. The accommodation is roomy, and has a comfortable bed. The internet was good. Nice to have coffee/tea. As per the information listed on the amenities, there are three sets of stairs to go up/down to the accommodation (which is attached to the “garden” business and the owner’s home).

When we "reserved" our stay, we checked the accessibility to the rooms. We were advised that there were two short flights of stairs, which would normally not be an issue. As it turns out there were two short flights, "Outside" the property. Unfortunatley, inside the property there was a flight which rose from the entry door on the first floor to the second floor. These stairs were Narrow and Very Steep, and did not have not have a Hand Rail. My wife, who could hand the two smaller flights, could not handle this inside flight. As a result we could not check in and were force to continue back to our Home in the Guelph area. The Owner was most accommodating and agreed the my wife should no try the inside flight of stairs and said the she would contact Experdia herself to have our reservation cancelled and our charges refunded. Unfortunately, we have yet to hear from Expedia.

It is an incredibly quaint and comfortable B&B with an enchanted garden in the backyard. Facilities were great, cozy, comfortable bed, and amenities were sufficient. Margaret is a very nice person to deal with! Would definitely stay here, again!

This was a very pleasant surprise. The apartment is very cozy, spacious, clean and has everything you would want. Especially enjoyed walking through the property and enjoying the view from the balcony out towards the gardens. Had a great walk to the canal and lift locks the next morning which was very picturesque! An added bonus is the great shopping you can do for plants/flowers and even unique gifts! A great store that the owners run, one that you can spend a lot of time looking through and probably not see everything.

Interesting and odd set up. One lovely suite. Lots of stairs getting in; if you are older it’s a bit daunting. Breakfast food was left in a serve yourself format in the suite. Kind of rationed but sufficient. Never had that before in a B&B but it worked. The nursery grounds were fun to walk and the shop is very charming.

It was a small apartment in the upstairs of an old house. Very charming! It had a small kitchen for making your own meals, as well as living room with comfy couch & chair and TV. The bed was firm and very comfortable. The hostess was very friendly and easy to comunicate with. Would be beautiful in the summer as it has a backyard garden! Host runs a garden store beside the house. Lots of plants for purchase as well as garden ornaments. A wonderful place to visit!

Owner met us at the door, showed us all the amenities of the apartment, gave us a key and left us a variety of food in the fridge for a full breakfast to make in the morning. Good wifi, TV and apartment is clean, well maintained and clean. Great place to stay.

Very unique older house but very well kept. The grounds were beautiful. It was like staying at my grandmother's house in the middle of the Garden of Eden. Close to restaurants and not a long drive to downtown. The fixings for breakfast were provided and we're fine.

Lovely place to kick up your feet and lay your head. Clean, quiet, accommodating. Hostess Margaret is a very nice lady to deal with. Nice apartment accommodations with kitchette, a full livingroom. She also has a fantastic plant store as well.

We loved the owner and staff they were so kind and accommodating. They even drive us to our wedding and offered to come get us if we couldn’t get a ride. The place is very cute and has everything. Bed very comfortable and left us a nice breakfast to make. Our only issue was a mustiness we could smell. My husband has breathing issues and he found it hard to sleep. Might just need a dehumidifier. Thanks again for providing a cute place to spend an evening 👍😊!!!

Easy check-in, Margaret was welcoming and showed the ins and outs of the suite. Nice backyard. One can watch the birds from the balcony/ windows. Good breakfast materials provided. The garden store is open everyday and has some nice plants and garden trinkets.

Excellent place to stay. Margaret is very welcoming and made us feel at home. The flat was very warm and cosey. We were very happy we chose to stay here. We would love to see the gardens in the summer.

Bed very comfortable and left us a nice breakfast to make. Our only issue was a mustiness we could smell. My husband has breathing issues and he found it hard to sleep. Might just need a dehumidifier. Thanks again for providing a cute place to spend an evening 👍😊!!!
We loved the owner and staff they were so kind and accommodating. They even drive us to our wedding and offered to come get us if we couldn’t get a ride. The place is very cute and has everything. This was a very pleasant surprise. The apartment is very cozy, spacious, clean and has everything you would want. Especially enjoyed walking through the property and enjoying the view from the balcony out towards the gardens. Had a great walk to the canal and lift locks the next morning which was very picturesque! An added bonus is the great shopping you can do for plants/flowers and even unique gifts! A great store that the owners run, one that you can spend a lot of time looking through and probably not see everything.

The apartment is a real home from home. We booked both bedrooms and had plenty of space. Easy drive into Peterborough or to Trent University. Hosts are very welcoming.

Owner met us at the door, showed us all the amenities of the apartment, gave us a key and left us a variety of food in the fridge for a full breakfast to make in the morning. Good wifi, TV and apartment is clean, well maintained and clean. Great place to stay.

Interesting and odd set up. One lovely suite. Lots of stairs getting in; if you are older it’s a bit daunting. Breakfast food was left in a serve yourself format in the suite. Kind of rationed but sufficient. Never had that before in a B&B but it worked. The nursery grounds were fun to walk and the shop is very charming.

Love the quaint apartment with two bedrooms, living room, small kitchen, and one bathroom. Perfect size for 4 people. Breakfast items in the fridge to make. The gardens are beautiful to look at, it gives you a sense of tranquility. I highly recommend staying at Burley's Garden and suite. The owner received us with a warm welcome and great conversation about Peterborough and other places.

Wonderful stay in Peterborough. Wish I could have stayed longer. Entire suite, fully equipped including supplied breakfast fixins. Little porch deck overlooking the gardens. Terrific hosts, thanks Margaret! I'll be back.

The Burley's Garden and Suite was very beautiful. The suite was cozy and warm. The hostess, Margaret welcomed us with a smile and a big hello. She showed us around the suite and was very inviting. This location is in a quiet area and away from excessive noises. Margaret, gave us a great suggestion for dinner and breakfast to a restaurant that is literally a two min walk from the driveway. We will definitely be staying there again for sure.

What a charming and unique accommodation! We were greeted by our delightful hostess Margaret, who gave us a tour of our suite and made sure we had everything we needed. She left us croissants with butter and homemade jam for our breakfast the next morning, as well as cream for the Keurig coffee. The gardens on this property are amazing! They are a must-see if you are passing through the area. There is a garden center attached to the home selling plants, gifts, and treasures of all kinds. We had a balcony off of our kitchen that looked out over the gardens in back. Such a beautiful view to enjoy with morning coffee! The unit was comfortable and clean with many personal touches. We really felt at home here.

The suite is old, and so may not appeal to everyone. It doesn't have AC so could be a hot box in summer, but there are plenty of fans and lots of open windows. There is lovely, tiny balcony off the kitchen, facing the back garden. I stayed for just one evening and was quite comfortable. The place suited me perfectly. A must is to walk around the acre or so garden. Margaret is a lovely, friendly host. She recommended a decent restaurant just a couple of hundred metres away. I sampled the Indian cuizine and found it delicious.
