Perfectly situated apartment with very comfortable accommodations. The train and tram are within 1 block walking distance. The apt has a washer and dryer!!! Just be ready to walk 23 stairs up with your luggage to the first floor lift.

They do have a lift but it does not start until up a large flight of stairs. Made it harder but there was a maintenance man there that immediately began to help with baggage. I was able to store baggage in their office between stays and the people in the office were the friendliest ever. The bed is small but that is as advertised.

Very conveniently located near the rail station and allowed walking to everywhere we wanted to visit. Bit of a challenge for people our age getting luggage up, as the lift started at the first floor and had to take bags up a long staircase from the street entrance (thankfully, the staircase was wide).

Apartment was great, even for just 2 nights. Good location for getting to and from the train station and walking in Edinburgh. No view- we looked out at the sides of 3 buildings. Kitchenette was easy to work in but no microwave. The biggest disappointment was that the elevator was broken and we had to climb 3 flights of stairs with 3 suitcases and 2 backpacks- after just finishing an 8 day hike adventure. Good thing we are fit 71 year olds.

The apartment was lovely and in an excellent location close to Waverley train station, the bus station, tram and Princes Street. It was comfortably furnished and well equipped. I really enjoyed my stay. The only things to be aware of are the stairs up to the first floor which were only an issue when I had to drag a heavy suitcase up. I also had to pay to store luggage at the station as there is no storage at the property itself.

We enjoyed our stay but didn’t realize we would not get fresh towels at least every couple of days. We tried to wash them but it proved difficult. There was considerable black mold in the shower. The place was safe and secure. It would not be advisable for someone with mobility issues and there were a lot of stairs and elevators were up a full flight of stairs.

The reason I didn't rate it as a 5 was that we were told there was a lift there. When we got there we had to climb 2 flights of stairs before the lift started. At 70 years old, we purposely picked a place with a lift. This was very deceiving and caused a lot of trouble.

Overall the stay was great,the apartment was very clean and had all the amenities we needed,as well as being in a prime location. However there were 2 things that let it down slightly for us, Number 1,our apartment was at the back of the building and it was pretty noisy,with deliveries arriving at 4 am and bins being emptied early on as well,we ended up using ear plugs. Number 2,during booking it mentioned that there was a lift from the first floor onwards........what wasn't mentioned is the 30 odd steps to climb with luggage before you get to the lift!, anyone with heavy bags or maybe a pram would have really struggled I'd imagine. Other than that it was fine.

The staff on the phone COULD NOT have been nicer or more helpful!!! They were not only knowledgeable, but very friendly and guided us every step of the way when I got lost. The apartment was immaculate, very comfortable and in a wonderful location, right in the heart of everything!! Highly, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Location was ideal for us as we were there for a short time and mostly walking to attractions etc so very handy. The apartment did have stairs to access but very manageable even for us in our sixties! Apartment was very spacious, clean, tidy, bright, and warm. Need was comfortable and kitchenette and bathroom had everything you need for a short stay. Would happily stay here again. Did have an issue with wifi. Couldn't connect any of 3 devices. It was compounded in part because for some reason i couldn't receive emails from Destiny even when using another wifi. This was despite them even trying while i was in the phone with them. Was a minor issue in the greater scheme of things anyway. We had a good time and very much enjoyed Edinburgh!

The accommodation was clean and an excellent location - the downside is that the windows overlooked the exhaust fans to both McDonald’s and KFC. This was extremely loud until around 4am and made the unit smell of fast food the entire duration

This unit was in the perfect location to everything. It felt safe due to code locks. It was quiet and a comfortable size for my me and my husband. The unit was very clean, the bathroom was so large and the bed comfortable. The kitchenette was well equipped. I highly recommend this property.

The apartment was great! Very clean inside and had everything we needed. It was a perfect location near the train station and between the old and new city. The main entrance could use a little improvement as it was not like the pic I saw when booking the apartment. Other than that all was fantastic!

We rented a STUDIO apartment on the 3rd floor. Bed was comfortable (American FULL SIZE, not Queen or King), shower was roomy and easy to use, washer/drawer and full kitchen was a major plus. Only one flight (30 steps) of stairs to get to the lift. Very old building, clean, updated and modern. For all those with allergies— absolutely no signs of mold or mildew. Located just steps from Princess Street and the main entrance to Waverley Station.

Amazing location, great communication with queries. However, room was 26 degree and didn’t cool down at all even with air con on. There’s huge extractor fan for KFC at the bathroom window in flat 1b and it was really noisy all night! Also made the room smell like KFC

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was incredibly central, easy to find and I liked the no contact aspect of it. You just receive a code for the door the day before you arrive - all very easy! The apartment was clean, modern and well maintained. My only gripe was although there was more than enough room for a king size or even super king bed, there was only a double bed (and a small double at that!) so my partner and I struggled a bit with that and for two nights my partner slept on the sofa instead because there was more room. But other than that a very lovely stay and I would highly recommend

Newly renovated fully stocked apartment very close to train. Room itself is nice and comfortable. However, comfort also includes overall environment. Outside window is an alley full of unsightly dumpsters, seems to be a glass recycling center. At 5am, work trucks with their beeping alarms begin arriving, loading and dumping the glass bottles. It’s extremely loud and impossible to sleep through. Additionally there’s a solar bright light on an adjacent building pointed right to the apartment window. At 2am the room was as bright as daylight. Between the two, it was near impossible to get any sleep. While these are factors outside control of the company, they can take actions to mitigate these issues as again, comfort includes all factors and not being able to sleep is a key element of comfort.

Cannot fault our stay. Amazing WiFi connection, clean, easy access with our code. Fabulous room with everything we could need and more. Very central and perfect for our trip to the Christmas markets!!

Beautiful big apartment right in the centre of the city with everything pretty much in walking distance! Tram stop near by linking it to the airport and Waverley across the road. The shower was epic, the toiletries were gorgeous and the kitchen was fully supplied with recycling bins. Big comfy couch and a TV with Netflix! My only complaint would be the pillows! Now they were terrible😂

The Destiny Apartments were clean and well kept. The location made for very easy access to pretty much wherever you want to go in Edinburgh with access to the tram within a 3 minute walk. Multiple historic and monuments, museums, and other amazing locations are also within a short walk. That said, the apartments can get hot in the summer months as there is no air conditioning (only heating) and the windows only open about 2 inches, making airflow through the apartment minimal. It is also immediately off a busy street and near several bars and nightlife, which are all active until well into the night, so if you’re looking for a quiet place - this is not it.

Nice accommodation very convenient to the train station. Room is spacious with fully stocked kitchen. Check in is easy with coded entry to main door and room. Marked down the rating from 5-star because the rooms looks out to a dirty back alley that is the location for a lot of unsightly dumpsters. Not only that, we were awoken at 0530 by a constant stream of very loud trucks dumping glass into these large bins. Even with the windows closed it was annoying when we’re trying to sleep. Other rooms that don’t face this alley are likely much better.

The staff on the phone COULD NOT have been nicer or more helpful!!! They were not only knowledgeable, but very friendly and guided us every step of the way when I got lost. The apartment was immaculate, very comfortable and in a wonderful location, right in the heart of everything!! Highly, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Be aware that if you book this hotel via Hotels,com or Expedia the hotel will email you around 18hrs before your check in to advise that you must telephone the office & provide credit card details for the security deposit. This is okay if you’re in the UK but might be an issue if you are on a long distance flight. You cannot access the apartment without first providing your details. There is no reception at the property, so be aware that you might find yourself stranded. The apartment itself is well appointed & comfortable. The lift is on the first floor which might be an issue for you if you have limited mobility (or heavy luggage). Location is excellent for walking everywhere & very close to train station.

An excellent property that was a perfect location for all local amenities. The tram stop was very near and there were many options for dining or having a beer. The National Portrait Gallery was only a couple of hundreds yards away and was excellent. The property was minutes away from Waverley train station. The property itself was excellent and was accurately described. We were very impressed with the office team who put themselves out to accommodate a slightly earlier access on arrival and rang us to tell us when we could get in. Also.when we had a minor issue with the electrics a member of the team turned up in minutes. The property certainly helped us to have a very enjoyable 5 day stay and we will definitely look to use Destiny if we visit the area again.

They do have a lift but it does not start until up a large flight of stairs. Made it harder but there was a maintenance man there that immediately began to help with baggage. I was able to store baggage in their office between stays and the people in the office were the friendliest ever. The bed is small but that is as advertised.

Location was ideal for us as we were there for a short time and mostly walking to attractions etc so very handy. The apartment did have stairs to access but very manageable even for us in our sixties! Apartment was very spacious, clean, tidy, bright, and warm. Need was comfortable and kitchenette and bathroom had everything you need for a short stay. Would happily stay here again. Did have an issue with wifi. Couldn't connect any of 3 devices. It was compounded in part because for some reason i couldn't receive emails from Destiny even when using another wifi. This was despite them even trying while i was in the phone with them. Was a minor issue in the greater scheme of things anyway. We had a good time and very much enjoyed Edinburgh!

Perfect location very close to train station. There was a big storm, and they kindly let us check in early before it arrived at no cost. That was really remarkable. Very modern and updated appliances even a washer & dryer in one. Definitely recommend!

It’s a roomy apartment , amenities are well considered. But need to clarify that you have to be there after 3PM. No front desk entry code won’t work before 3pm.

Overall the stay was great,the apartment was very clean and had all the amenities we needed,as well as being in a prime location. However there were 2 things that let it down slightly for us, Number 1,our apartment was at the back of the building and it was pretty noisy,with deliveries arriving at 4 am and bins being emptied early on as well,we ended up using ear plugs. Number 2,during booking it mentioned that there was a lift from the first floor onwards........what wasn't mentioned is the 30 odd steps to climb with luggage before you get to the lift!, anyone with heavy bags or maybe a pram would have really struggled I'd imagine. Other than that it was fine.

LOCATION! It’s within walking distance of EVERYTHING a tourist will want to do. I actually didn’t realize its incredible location until I arrived. 2 minutes(!) from the train station which is how I arrived. 2 minutes(!) in the other direction for the ($10) tram that takes you to/from the airport! Walking distance to everything. The place itself is all updated. Fells new. Beautiful well equipped kitchen, washer/dryer combo in unit. Love the keyless entry. The ONLY negative is the construction on adjacent bldg (July 2025). Staging area is outside the window, but since they worked during the day, it wasn’t huge inconvenience since I was out tourist-ing during the day anyway. A bit pricey, but worth the splurge for its LOCATION and excellent condition and amenities.

We rented a STUDIO apartment on the 3rd floor. Bed was comfortable (American FULL SIZE, not Queen or King), shower was roomy and easy to use, washer/drawer and full kitchen was a major plus. Only one flight (30 steps) of stairs to get to the lift. Very old building, clean, updated and modern. For all those with allergies— absolutely no signs of mold or mildew. Located just steps from Princess Street and the main entrance to Waverley Station.

Beautiful big apartment right in the centre of the city with everything pretty much in walking distance! Tram stop near by linking it to the airport and Waverley across the road. The shower was epic, the toiletries were gorgeous and the kitchen was fully supplied with recycling bins. Big comfy couch and a TV with Netflix! My only complaint would be the pillows! Now they were terrible😂

La habitación esta super bien, muy equipad, perfecta para 2 personas, solo te piden un deposito extra justo antes de llegar al hospedaje y es muy complicado hacer algo así de último minuto, si no traes internet y si vienes muy cansado NO te dejaran entrar hasta que pagues el deposito.

The apartment was modern and tidy and the location was perfect. The self-check-in and check-out with luggage storage worked well. The only minus was that there was no cooling and the temperature indoors was around 25C (in mid-July).

The apartment was situated across from Waverley Stayion. Ideally placed for all tourists attractions. The apartment was clean and spacious for a one bed apartment. There were all the appliances you would need to be self catering. The apartment was clean. The only downside to our room was that it faced brick walls either side with air conditioning pipes and cooker vents from the food outlets next door which were noisy at night. Air conditioning would have been an asset to the apartment too.

The apartment was beautifully presented and the remotely located management staff were friendly and tried help as much as possible. However the hotels.com booking site did not mention that getting to the apartment involved going up several flights of stairs, involving over 30 steps. We found this difficult because of our age and the amount of luggage we had. Compounding the access problem was we could only leave our luggage at the company's administration office prior to check in, which was almost a kilometre from the apartment. This involved double handling and a long walk on a hot Edinburgh day.
