Everything was very good easy check in and friendly staff. The room is spacious and clean, I enjoyed the refrigerator and microwave, they provide a coffee maker also. Easy parking and the hotel is easy to find. The layout is convenient with the Bar and Restaurant are centrally located. Nice hotel, clean, friendly and efficient staff, I recommend The Silverwood for everyone.

It's an odd little property for sure but it's loaded with character and the people who work there are delightful. Our room had two big armchairs in addition to the beds (very "mom and pop" vibe). There's a cute little vestibule and a big seating area in the lobby with chairs and couches and books to read. They keep the coffee on (or will put a pot on for you). It's very quaint with a real Newfoundland vibe. We loved it. There's not much of interest in the immediate area but enough places to get food so it's convenient for that. It's a good jumping off point for visiting local attractions. We would stay there again.

The hotel is quite dated near the rooms. The owner was really nice and advised it is really hard to get staff but that really didn't explain why the bathroom door would not close. The entrance was beautiful and they are working on parts of the hotel but need to do more.

Was an average motel. No AC in rooms. Could hear doors slamming shut, not very quiet. Beds were older and hard. Restaurant didnt serve breajfast. Owners were friendly though. Would probably not stay here again..

Friendly and kind owner. Overall atmosphere was warm, old-fashioned and nice. Other guests seemed friendly, too. The room was spacious and comfortable. Complimentary coffee and they gave us light breakfast, too. We enjoyed the stay.

This hotel is so old and is in desperate need of a gut job! The beds are old, furniture is old. It seems it is meant as a hunting lodge for a bunch of hunters to stay in. One good thing is that the coffee pot is always on if that’s your thing. Way too expensive for what you get. We were just too tired to go look for something else, we actually didn’t see any other lodging in the area. Don’t waste your money here!

Our one-night stay at Silverwood was very nice. The owners/staff were so pleasant and engaging. Despite that, I would definitely go back again to this homey environment, which felt more like a bed 'n breakfast than a hotel/motel.

Was an average motel. No AC in rooms. Could hear doors slamming shut, not very quiet. Beds were older and hard. Restaurant didnt serve breajfast. Owners were friendly though. Would probably not stay here again..

Friendly and kind owner. Overall atmosphere was warm, old-fashioned and nice. Other guests seemed friendly, too. The room was spacious and comfortable. Complimentary coffee and they gave us light breakfast, too. We enjoyed the stay.

Property has not been kept up and breakfast and dining room closed during winter months. Rooms are bare bones and outdoor property is littered with junk. Would not return.

Very interesting hotel, almost like staying in a museum - lot's of art work, stuff about fisheries and boats on display. plus old kitchen utensils, etc. Very friendly and helpful staff.

It was such a great experience for me and my family staff was nice and friendly and the person in front seat he was great and excellent he has great knowledge about surroundings he helped me a lot for everything I would highly recommend for this place to stay thanks you for letting us to stay there
