The hotel had a lovely room with a beautiful view and a large terrace. Parking was limited, but the host kindly offered to move our car if needed. Unfortunately, breakfast turned an otherwise pleasant stay into a frustrating experience. Breakfast was advertised on Hotels.com at €6 per person, and previous guests had praised it. We asked about breakfast upon arrival and, being early risers from Northern Europe, happily waited three hours the next morning. When we sat down, we were offered coffee. Two cups arrived, followed by a €7 bill, but no breakfast. When we asked, we were told breakfast was unavailable and that food could not possibly be provided for €6. We were not even offered a menu. An uncomfortable argument then followed between staff and the owner, apparently because our request the previous day had not been communicated. The price was never the issue. Had we simply been offered a menu, we would happily have paid €16 instead of €6. A charming hotel, but poor communication and unnecessary stubbornness spoiled our experience. Such a shame, as the situation could easily have been resolved with a little hospitality.

Shower was clogged, and the sheets smelled like 20 sweaty men who had been swimming in the ocean. Upon arrival, we were charged more money, even though we had already paid through Expedia… When leaving, I mentioned to staff, the shower was not working and they asked if I had booked with Expedia. It was a beautiful water front room and the manager was pleasant.

The property and room was good. A door screen is necessary as mosquitos enter the room and annoy sleepers. Front desk service was not warm; had to call a number to have someone come to check us in and the lady was very blunt and neither informative or welcoming in the least; no details available as to wifi password, for example. Nobody at front desk for check out either. Attached restaurant was rather noisy.
