We had a great time at the Old Lyme Inn. The restaurant was fantastic and the service was excellent. We also saw the Jazz show which was the highlight of our weekend.

Always top notch customer service at this inn. Leslie and Tosh always provide impeccable attention to guests. Offering room upgrades, informing about 3 hrs of entertainment with dinner on the patio on thursday nights, or offering suggestions on activities on the area. Would recommend for a relaxing get away. Had a great dinner outside on the patio. The crusted cod was done ĵust right , along with the deviled eggs.

This inn is charming, well located and has the fantastic Sidedoor Jazz club - we had a wonderful time here and the staff was beyond helpful! A great place to stay in Old Lyme!

Family weekend. 3 night stay to meet with daughters for a weekend getaway. In allowed for an early check in because room was ready. Jazz club attached to Inn with shows Friday and Saturday night. Inn arranged for show tickets both nights. All the staff were exeptionally accomadating all weekend long from check in to show tickets to allowing us dinner service right at closing time. The dinner and breakfast were both prepared with care and quality. Dining are was very charming. From day one staff called us by name whenever we encountered them and made us feel like home. Because of their service would recommend their establishment. Inn was conveniently located right off the highway and walking distance to lyme sculptuŕe garden and floŕence griswold museum. 10 to 15 minute drive to niantic boardwalk, essex Steam train and ivoryton theatre

What a wonderful experience we had at The Old Lyme Inn. From the Valentine’s Tea, the amazing dinner and the Jazz club right next door. We never had to leave the property once we arrived on Saturday. Tosh the manager made us feel as if we were the only people staying at the inn . My guess is she made everyone else there feel the same. The room had wonderful morning light, comfy chairs and everything we needed. We will definitely be back - thanks for a wonderful weekend.

The Old Lyme Inn is absolutely charming! It’s quaint, cozy, and full of character, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway. The entire place has such a warm, inviting vibe; I loved the mix of history and comfort throughout. Leslie at the front desk was wonderful, friendly, helpful, and genuinely interactive, which made us feel right at home. The library with board games was such a fun touch, and the live jazz music really set the mood and added to the unique experience. We had breakfast on our last morning, and it was delicious; definitely worth it. Parking was easy and convenient, and the location couldn’t be better, right off I-95. Overall, this inn has a great blend of charm, comfort, and personality. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing, memorable stay in Connecticut!

Our stay was excellent the staff was amazing very accommodating and friendly we were so relaxed we spent an extra day the building’s ground’s common areas and rooms were immaculate we will definitely be back!!

Chris was outstanding! got our luggage from car. brought us dessert first nite. heated up our leftovers and added a salad & dessert 2nd nite. arranged tix to next door jazz club. checked on our satisfaction with dinner in Lyme dining room. bed comfy. bathroom spotless & updated. quiet, relaxing atmosphere. only problem was thermostat. we dnot understand setting but dnot mention to staff so can't complain. Only coffee&muffin @ breakfast. Highly recommend this Inn!

The bedding needs updating. We stayed two nights and they did not clean the room or provide clean towels. There is a keurig in the lobby to make coffee and they put out a tray of muffins in the morning that are cut in half. Inn was quiet. Right off I-94. Hangry Goose is a good breakfast place near by.

Absolutely love this Inn and will be back again and again. Only small downside for me were the bathroom towels as they are quite rough. But that's a small negative. Staff is wonderful and attentive and the full experience is top notch and classy.

A lovely stay. Our room was clean and cozy, though some of the furniture showed visible wear. Comfortable beds and a lovely bathroom that felt modern. The staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was a bit underwhelming, but overall, we’d recommend a stay the Old Lyme Inn.

Very nice Inn, kept very clean, nice location. Staff is friendly and helpful but a little less available during the week than on weekends. None of the rooms have a coffeemaker. The standard room is very small with no TV but the more updated rooms will have one. We would stay at this Inn again.

There was no phone in the room. I had people coming for dinner who did not have my cell and I don't on principal give it out to hotels. They arrived and I had no idea they were waiting until I went downstairs early. How does the hotel arrange for wake-up calls? No phone in the room is unacceptable. I was there for 2 nights and the room wasn't made up the second day. As it was Sunday, there was virtually no one around to tell this to until I ran into a very nice custodian who did get me towels, at least. The clock wasn't functional. Fan on the heating/cooling was not adjustable. It blew cold all weekend. There was no bar soap. Again, unacceptable. Squeeze bottle soap is useless. AND there was no conditilner in the squeeze bottles in the shower. And, no, shampoo pretending to have conditioner in it does not work. The was no table height surface and no real chair. Working on a computer on a magazine rack seated in an easy chair doesn't work. The stay was disappointing.

Wonderful room - spacious, on corner with three sets of windows. Very quiet and comfortable. Staff were all so nice, helpful and knowledgeable. A pleasure chatting with them. Great location across the Street from the fantastic Florence Griswald Museum.

The setting was charming in just the way you'd want it to be. Our room (4) was spacious and cozy and the mattress was fine but there was an issue of the whole bed being too high; being a short person; the staff helped us find a milk crate that was just right for creating the step I needed to "climb into bed"! Overall, a lovely retreat and getaway. Many thanks, Janet Friedman

The library with board games was such a fun touch, and the live jazz music really set the mood and added to the unique experience. We had breakfast on our last morning, and it was delicious; definitely worth it. Parking was easy and convenient, and the location couldn’t be better, right off I-95. Overall, this inn has a great blend of charm, comfort, and personality. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing, memorable stay in Connecticut!

Wonderful room - spacious, on corner with three sets of windows. Very quiet and comfortable. Staff were all so nice, helpful and knowledgeable. A pleasure chatting with them. Great location across the Street from the fantastic Florence Griswald Museum.

Family weekend. 3 night stay to meet with daughters for a weekend getaway. In allowed for an early check in because room was ready. Jazz club attached to Inn with shows Friday and Saturday night. Inn arranged for show tickets both nights. All the staff were exeptionally accomadating all weekend long from check in to show tickets to allowing us dinner service right at closing time. The dinner and breakfast were both prepared with care and quality. Dining are was very charming. From day one staff called us by name whenever we encountered them and made us feel like home. The bedding needs updating. We stayed two nights and they did not clean the room or provide clean towels. There is a keurig in the lobby to make coffee and they put out a tray of muffins in the morning that are cut in half. Inn was quiet. Right off I-94. Hangry Goose is a good breakfast place near by.

The staff at the Inn are incredibly nice and helpful in every way. The Inn is very quaint and a great location to all the ongoings and sights in the mid-connecticut shore area. We will be back for another visit hopefully soon.

Always top notch customer service at this inn. Leslie and Tosh always provide impeccable attention to guests. Offering room upgrades, informing about 3 hrs of entertainment with dinner on the patio on thursday nights, or offering suggestions on activities on the area. Would recommend for a relaxing get away. Had a great dinner outside on the patio. The crusted cod was done ĵust right , along with the deviled eggs.

Chris was outstanding! got our luggage from car. brought us dessert first nite. heated up our leftovers and added a salad & dessert 2nd nite. arranged tix to next door jazz club. checked on our satisfaction with dinner in Lyme dining room. bed comfy. bathroom spotless & updated. quiet, relaxing atmosphere. only problem was thermostat. we dnot understand setting but dnot mention to staff so can't complain. A lovely stay. Our room was clean and cozy, though some of the furniture showed visible wear. Comfortable beds and a lovely bathroom that felt modern. The staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was a bit underwhelming, but overall, we’d recommend a stay the Old Lyme Inn.

We relied too heavily on the reviews in seeking that classic inn feel. Like the cabernet served at the bar, the hospitality was lukewarm. The dynamic was more transactional and aloof than warm and welcoming. We felt the accommodation was more of an appendage than the purpose to the business — shared space with patrons of the restaurant and those with the planning runway to secure a spot at the jazz venue, which we were bluntly assured was fully booked when we arrived. (It was just an innocent enquiry.) The breakfast was de minimus and we had to ask for the obvious - jam, butter, sugar, etc., even fruit that was supposed to be included with the French toast. We asked for local advice on beach venues and, unapologetically, got directed to a beach where only residents can park. As folks who have stayed in many accommodations over the years we also believe guests deserve more than a grubby sport cooler in the lobby for ice, and stains removed from the room chairs unless Thomas Hooker was known to have sat in them. And they should be given the benefit of doubt in leaving a suitable tip instead of an obligatory service charge which, as any economist will tell you, shall succeed in securing suboptimal service (as it did). We arrived as outsiders to Connecticut and after two nights left the Inn with the same sentiment we would have had leaving a chain hotel. Excellent visual proximity to the 95, if that is important.
