the staff was very nice, room was great, but false advertist pissed me off. it was advertised that there would be a contental breakfast, no breakfast, advertised resturant and bar on site. it was closed down. very disappointed wish i could get a refund

Advertised complimentary breakfast, at check-in we were informed there was no breakfast. Unfortunately, it smelled like sewage all around the exterior of the hotel. There was what appeared to be a long term rental section and some very sketchy men all around the building. I was quite creepy to be honest and with two small grandchildren a littel unnerving the entire time we were there. The ice machine closest to our room was broken down and there was no covered area to sit and it rained most of the time we were there. Just not at all what was advertised, very disappointed.

In the advertisement from Crystal cove AND Expedia we were not informed of the separation between the hotel and the amenities that are advertised. THIS WAS MISLEADING AND FAULS ADVERTISEMENT. The restaurant, the inside bar and a tiki bar were closed. This is due to a separation of the properties and the new owner of the restaurant, inside and outside bar sent to staff home for the holidays. There was nothing said or were we advised of these amenities not being available. Went my wife and I chose Crystal Cove, we did so as purchasing the "package" not just a hotel room. Needless to say for our Christmas "week getaway", this was extremely disappointing!!!

Conveniently located and quiet. Large room with tile floor and good air conditioner, hot shower. no steps, large lobby with sofas. didn't use the pool, but some kids enjoyed it. Restaurant and bar by the water. kitchen being renovated so no breakfast, but plenty of coffee. Whole place has seen better days but had some upgrades lately. Staff was friendly.

The location was perfect. So quiet. Check in was a breeze. Hidden treasure. So happy I didn't book at Hamptons, Holiday in or a larger franchise. This was perfect. Not fancy. Room was clean, plenty parking, full size fridge, stove, microwave and the river.

The room smelled like mildew and it was dirty you could see a water logged dresser where it was flooded. Nice front desk lady just poor cleaning and there was cigarette burns on the covers

This property is very old and rundown. It was probably awesome back in the day. The location is great, in a cute little North Florida town and right on the river. The staff is super friendly and do an amazing job keeping the rooms clean. The coffee in the lobby is excellent. If you don’t mind a very clean but old, run down, barebones motel, then I think this is a great option.

All in all the room wasn't bad, just few things within the room was the issue. When walking around the room, the floor made my feet black within a few steps, no in-room amenities such as a room clock and telephone, there was flies flying around and little ant-like bugs were on the floor. The outside maintenance was not upheld from the grounds keeping to trash in trash cans not being emptied. The staff was polite at checkin and out

The room smell musty. The was a small blood stain on one of the sheets and the sheets needed to be replace in general. A cockroach ran across the nightstand in the morning as we were getting ready to leave. Awful place.

Linens were off color and I chose not to worry about how clean the room was. The office chair was tired and rusting where your elbow would stand. Internet was intermittent and would frequently cut out, so much that little work could be done.

Very spacious, clean room, comfortable bed, excellent water pressure with lots of hot water, excellent staff, amazing view, unique interior design of the hotel with a Koi pond. The large picture windows facing the river took up the entire wall of our room and were coated so that we could see out, but people could not see in. Could use a little TLC. The bathroom door hung up badly in the frame and had not been painted. The hinges were rusty and interior side of the door was dirty. The sink faucet was cracked. There was a Kleenex box mounter in the wall and the chrome cover was rusty.

We upgraded to a suite with a kitchenette so we could pick up a takeaway after the long drive, in the kitchenette there was NO cutlery, cups, plates, glasses, had an induction stovetop but no pans, microwave did not work, no kettle and the pouch holder did not fit the coffee maker, room was very big but very dated, large fridge that worked very well. Glad we only booked the one night.

Upon check in told the wifi was not working. Then in the room TV was not working. Called the office they did send someone to the room but couldn't fix the TV. Suggested a different room. So we moved to a different room TV a lot smaller but it worked. Had to go back to the office to get the keys/chip card exchanged. We asked for a discount on our bill. no luck no discounts. Not okay. The next morning free Continental breakfast waffle maker is broken. imagine that. Enough said.

I been going here over 10years and recently returned. Ok me and my family rents rooms why we work a few times my son left stains on the pillow case because of a Durag so we resolve that problem. So ok next They began to complain about stained linen which the linen was the towels which we used after we showered. They stated the towels were stained bc of all the dirt on the which I felt was a very racist statement due to the fact that were African American and they’re not . I just felt like we were profiled and unfairly treated by this hotel when our tenure there should speak for itself. Never had I destroy there property. Samantha the Gm is great but her MOM Kim will make them loose there people don’t f color. I was so tired Friday night and she wanted to not rent to me because of me asking her about her speaking in my child. I’m not understanding this treatment. They keep me from talking to the owner. Just as long as you white you will be great!!

We checked in and got our room and all went well. We joked about a deposit and was told we would get charged if anything happened. Got to the room and noticed damge to the bathroom door. We took pictures and reported it to the front desk. They immediately noted it and took our pictures as well to show proof to management. Very pleased how they handled the situation

The rooms we a bit run down and somewhat dirty. The property seems to be falling apart and not kept up with, but has tons of potential. There were some renovations, but they seemed to be DIY. Front desk people were very friendly, but room service was poor. After the first night our towels were taken but not replaced, bed not made, and lights left on that were not before we left for the day. Breakfast was just waffles, bagels, and cereal. In the end i dont think it was worth $100 a night

Conveniently located and quiet. Large room with tile floor and good air conditioner, hot shower. no steps, large lobby with sofas. didn't use the pool, but some kids enjoyed it. Restaurant and bar by the water. kitchen being renovated so no breakfast, but plenty of coffee. Whole place has seen better days but had some upgrades lately. Staff was friendly.

The location was perfect. So quiet. Check in was a breeze. Hidden treasure. So happy I didn't book at Hamptons, Holiday in or a larger franchise. This was perfect. Not fancy. Room was clean, plenty parking, full size fridge, stove, microwave and the river.

the staff was very nice, room was great, but false advertist pissed me off. it was advertised that there would be a contental breakfast, no breakfast, advertised resturant and bar on site. it was closed down. very disappointed wish i could get a refund

Advertised complimentary breakfast, at check-in we were informed there was no breakfast. Unfortunately, it smelled like sewage all around the exterior of the hotel. There was what appeared to be a long term rental section and some very sketchy men all around the building. I was quite creepy to be honest and with two small grandchildren a littel unnerving the entire time we were there. The ice machine closest to our room was broken down and there was no covered area to sit and it rained most of the time we were there. Just not at all what was advertised, very disappointed.

In the advertisement from Crystal cove AND Expedia we were not informed of the separation between the hotel and the amenities that are advertised. THIS WAS MISLEADING AND FAULS ADVERTISEMENT. The restaurant, the inside bar and a tiki bar were closed. This is due to a separation of the properties and the new owner of the restaurant, inside and outside bar sent to staff home for the holidays. There was nothing said or were we advised of these amenities not being available. Went my wife and I chose Crystal Cove, we did so as purchasing the "package" not just a hotel room. Needless to say for our Christmas "week getaway", this was extremely disappointing!!!

The rooms we a bit run down and somewhat dirty. The property seems to be falling apart and not kept up with, but has tons of potential. There were some renovations, but they seemed to be DIY. Front desk people were very friendly, but room service was poor. After the first night our towels were taken but not replaced, bed not made, and lights left on that were not before we left for the day. Breakfast was just waffles, bagels, and cereal. In the end i dont think it was worth $100 a night

Upon check in told the wifi was not working. Then in the room TV was not working. Called the office they did send someone to the room but couldn't fix the TV. Suggested a different room. So we moved to a different room TV a lot smaller but it worked. Had to go back to the office to get the keys/chip card exchanged. We asked for a discount on our bill. no luck no discounts. Not okay. The room was nothing like the photos when booking. The room had an odour and bedding looked old, nothing like the photos of the King room on the booking site. There was no breakfast available even though the front reception listed the breakfast hours. There was no restaurant on site, it was shut down (permanently?) This place looks worn out and in need of major renovations. The air conditioning in the room was so loud that we woke up every time in came on. The lobby chair seats were all in disrepair. False advertising on the resorts part. The only pleasant thing was the view of the St.john’s River & the marina. The resort needs to update their photos as it really is.
