The hotel and staff were very friendly and the rooms especially the beds were very comfortable. Excellent breakfast The only issue was problem was they don’t seem to have a fully functional bar although drinks were available.

We chose this location because it's fairly close to Stonehenge and Highclere Castle. Beautiful looking golf course, rooms were reasonably priced but the fish and chips in the restaurant were fantastic - ate it both nights.

Checking in was quick and easy. Condition of room was good. I would have stated excellent but for inadequate lighting, no desk light, and no light above the wardrobe mirror door. The condition of shower sealant was black in a few places. We had to walk to the club house in the evening in the dark. The Street lights leading up to the clubhouse were inadequate as you couldn't see the path you had to walk on. Easy to trip up just before the entrance of the club house.

Could not fault the service, the room, food or golf course (which for most is probably the reason to stay). It is a tucked away, which adds to the beauty and peacefulness. However, we could not get a taxi at short notice, so you really need to be prepared to drive or organise in advance - obviously not the hotels fault. There is not much outside seating to enjoy the weather and views when not golfing but I would stay again.

I returned to the hotel as it's convenient for Basingstoke and in a nice setting. The beds are comfortable and they have different pillows to suit your needs. The hotel was generally clean although the shower could use a deeper clean around the edges.

Fabulous. Large rooms. Comfy clean beds with a variety of pillows. Friendly staff. Great Breakfast overlooking golf course and wildlife. Only gripe shower needed a freshen up and cobwebs on ceiling but far better than most 4* hotels.

Excllent experience. We had s suite with 3 rooms! Gorgeous! Dinner and breakfast wonderful! Lots of fun in the bar overlooking the golf course. Great service! We loved our stay ❤️

The room was very spacious and clean with a good size bathroom. Comfy big bed ( two pushed together) The choice of different pillows was a very nice touch! Only met the reception staff and the house keeper all very accommodating! We didn’t eat at the hotel so I cannot leave any feedback, but the restaurant looked very nice.

Shortly after arrival, my wife had a messy accident. This was dealt with promptly, professionally and in person by the receptionist who reflected great credit on the hotel, his manager and himself. As I had no issue with any element of our stay, i can only award the hotel a maximum score but we regard this stay as outstanding and will go out of our way to revisit any time we are in the area.

Very friendly staff at reception, easy check in, the room was clean and spacious. My only point to mention was, when we arrived after a long drive we couldn’t get anything to eat, the restaurant was closed, went down to the club house, but told they were also closed as they had to prepare for a wedding party! Had to drive to find a pub! The drive entrance could do with a little more lighting, especially the speed bumps! But had a very comfortable two nights! Would recommend!

Nice hotel with spacious and comfortable room. Food in restaurant was OK. Service for breakfast was a little lacking though. Some items had run out and took a while to be replenished. Otherwise was a good stay.

Was looking forward to the stay thinking it would be of a good standard. May as well just gone to premier inn where at least the staff have manners. Room had mould on walls and bed was uncomfortable with holes in the bedding. And van parked outside our room. Alarm kept sounding from around 11 pm. On contacting reception the man on the phone physically laughed at me about it. It took 3 phoncalls to eventually get this sorted. So got no sleep really was really annoyed and upset. No managers on checking out and still awaiting a response. Also the onsite restaurant was closed as they had set it up ready for a wedding the next day and the bar menu very limited

Had a great stay the night before visiting Highclere Castle. Everything from checking in, having breakfast and checking out was so easy. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Don't hesitate to book this hotel.

Excellent hotel room, very clean spacious and comfortable and everything you needed. No facilities on hotel site but bar and restaurant on golf course. Remote so access to any shops or food was a drive away

A short drive from Basingstoke into the countryside, it was a nice quiet night at the Sandford Springs Hotel. Might go back and try the golf some day.

The hotel setting is lovely with the golf course wrapping around the hotel. Staff are very efficient and helpful. We only had breakfast which was to a good standard. We're sure to return!

We chose this location because it's fairly close to Stonehenge and Highclere Castle. Beautiful looking golf course, rooms were reasonably priced but the fish and chips in the restaurant were fantastic - ate it both nights.

Checking in was quick and easy. Condition of room was good. I would have stated excellent but for inadequate lighting, no desk light, and no light above the wardrobe mirror door. The condition of shower sealant was black in a few places. We had to walk to the club house in the evening in the dark. The Street lights leading up to the clubhouse were inadequate as you couldn't see the path you had to walk on. Easy to trip up just before the entrance of the club house.

Could not fault the service, the room, food or golf course (which for most is probably the reason to stay). It is a tucked away, which adds to the beauty and peacefulness. However, we could not get a taxi at short notice, so you really need to be prepared to drive or organise in advance - obviously not the hotels fault. There is not much outside seating to enjoy the weather and views when not golfing but I would stay again.

Very friendly staff at reception, easy check in, the room was clean and spacious. My only point to mention was, when we arrived after a long drive we couldn’t get anything to eat, the restaurant was closed, went down to the club house, but told they were also closed as they had to prepare for a wedding party! Had to drive to find a pub! The drive entrance could do with a little more lighting, especially the speed bumps! But had a very comfortable two nights! Would recommend!

Was looking forward to the stay thinking it would be of a good standard. May as well just gone to premier inn where at least the staff have manners. Room had mould on walls and bed was uncomfortable with holes in the bedding. And van parked outside our room. Alarm kept sounding from around 11 pm. On contacting reception the man on the phone physically laughed at me about it. It took 3 phoncalls to eventually get this sorted. So got no sleep really was really annoyed and upset. No managers on checking out and still awaiting a response. Also the onsite restaurant was closed as they had set it up ready for a wedding the next day and the bar menu very limited

Staff are polite and helpful - some were obviously new and inexperienced though. Cheerful welcome on arrival but not every person on reception was like this. A shame that the restaurant in the hotel was closed on an evening which meant to eating in the club house (nothing specifically wrong with this but a very limited bar menu when you're staying for more than one night and some of the language from other guests was less than desired).
