The Sandcastle Beachfront Hotel

We really liked the room. It had just been remodeled and it looks nice. Definite downfall was no elevator so be in good shape to climb to the 3rd floor.

We love staying here the only negative is there isnt enough parking spaces.

The hotel was great on the beach, only bummer was the pool closed at 9 during the summer. Was surprised

The room was very nice! It was updated and very clean! Check in and check out was very quick and easy. The only thing negative I would have to say is that pool was very cold! We would definitely stay there again though!

On the beach with an unobstructed view of the beach. Had a balcony. Fireplace in the room. Parking is tight but doable with overflow across the street. Bathroom was lovely but water pressure was low. It's an older property with no bells and whistles but well maintained.

Slow bath drain; no ac and no breeze for fresh air. Carpets were damp when we checked in. Comfy beds and clean linens. Pool area was below par with no fresh air. I propped open a door because the chlorine smell was so strong, but almost immediately a staff person shut the door. The other door and window were locked shut. Spa had no bubbles/weak jets. On the plus side, the staff let us use the pool until our rooms were ready. That was very nice.

The property was right on the beach with a balcony overlooking the ocean. Room was nice and the bathroom was top notch. My only complaint was that there is no elevator so had to go up 3 flights of stairs. This property would not be proper for someone that had physical problems with stairs.

What a coastal gem! The room was spacious and clean. Right on the beach experience, especially at high tide your room is right above a seawall. Such easy access to the beach as well. The pool was nice and warm, the hot tub was nice as well. My family was very happy with their stay and we look forward to booking here again very soon! We also liked the location as it seemed to be pretty in the middle of a lot of the things to do in the City. Recommended for families! :)

The Sandcastle was wonderful! Our room was very clean and fairly up to date. We loved the patio with beachfront views and the extra room. The pool was warm in temperature inside a comfortable, clean and beautiful space! Great place to stay with kids, would highly recommend. We will definitely stay here again, the location can’t beat!!

The beach was nice but the room was not that clean and had spiders. Found three different spiders crawling in the bathroom, one in the shower one in the sink, and one that ran and hid behind the large framed picture. Not small like thumb sized black spiders. Woke up to discover I was bitten on the ear by something.

The hotel is not what it use to be! The hotel is in disrepair, the don’t clean the room until you check out. You have to go to the office to restock your room

Pros: Right on the beach, room was clean, quiet. Cons: Could use a coat of paint, no housekeeping at all. We were there 3 nights - had to ask for towels, no one came to empty trash and no place to empty it ourselves.

Everything was wonderful! Literally, EVERYTHING! The cleanliness is fabulous.

Fabulous view and right on the beach. The beds were superb and it was scrupulously clean. This is an older motel, but they have worked hard to keep it updated. The only complaint I have is the lack of insulation between floors. The room above had kids that ran from end to end for over an hour, and it sounded like a herd of horses. I would absolutely stay again, but maybe on the top floor?

Solid budget-friendly oceanfront stay. I must say that after the renovations (still in the midst of renovating other units during my stay) they are pretty clean. Some older motels have a distinct smell when you enter the room but that wasn't a factor during my stay and likely attributable to the newly renovated room. The renovated bathroom was exceptional. The shower is a walk-in and has a rain-style shower head. Good water pressure. The entryway of the room is newly installed hardwood flooring and it seems that they installed new carpeting for the main area. Bed was comfortable. I would be genuinely surprised to find someone who complains about the bed post-renovations, assuming the bed in my room is the same as those in other rooms. There could be a larger comforter for those who are cold at night, but I run hot and the thin bedding didn't bother me. There is no air conditioning so I can understand why others complained about their stay during hotter months. For those sensitive to noise, the walls are very thin. You will hear close to everything. The front door is not completely sealed and I could hear conversation very well for those outside along the walkway. One complaint would be the balcony. The renovations did not seem to touch them, and the railing was dirty as well as the patio flooring. To be fair, it is probably unproductive to deep clean these areas after every stay considering they have constant exposure to sand and salt water. All in all, would recommend.

Excellent location. Booked a two bed and thought they were in same room, but surprised and happy second bed had own bedroom.

We loved our stay here! Even though it is an older building, the room was recently renovated and very comfy! The shower was especially nice. And the view was unmatched! By far the best reason to stay here. We’ll definitely be back. Also, it’s a great price compared to comparable hotels/motels.

This newly renovated motel on the beach is in an awesome location. Rooms sparkling clean and comfortable bed. Rooms are small, but a luggage rack would still be nice. Also, our beautiful new shower lacked any place to put soap or shampoo. Adding a corner rack in the shower would be nice.

We loved the view and being right on the beach. We couldn't hear any of the others guests, that was nice The bed was extremely uncomfortable, ended up heading home a day early.

The room didn’t have AC or a fan. The room is in direct sunlight and was very hot. The patio door didn’t have a screen door so flies were coming in. I couldn’t shut the door because it was so hot. No elevator. The great thing about the room was the rain shower. I won’t be staying there in warmer months again.

Liked the new renovations. Wish there were more parking and maybe some privacy walls between balconies. Other than that we jad a great time.

Office people were not that friendly & what is sad if it wasn’t for us renting the rooms they would not have a job.

Amazing views! Room was great it was clean and quiet staff was friendly and our family made some awesome memories! Beach access and location were perfect! We will be back!

We’ve been to sandcastle countless times and have always enjoyed our stay and this time proved to be even better. We had a few room mishaps and a plumbing issue that the hotel staff immediately tried to fix. They were very apologetic and did their best to resolve the issue. They even went above and beyond and gave us a free night stay. This will always be my choice of hotels when staying at the beach.

The motel front desk lady was nice and warmly welcomed us. We were here early and were allowed to use the beach access since we had reservations. Check-in is easy. The building is newly painted and the rooms have been re-done. The shower is roomier and is tall enough for over 6ft. The bathroom mirror lights are pretty cool.

We’ve been coming to this place for years and love it! It’s great for families as well and our kids love it here. The pool area is always fun for everyone. The front desk staff has been here for years and has always been amazing. Would recommend.

Beautiful views. Very comfy, romantic room on the third floor with a fireplace. Kind of a hassle to haul everything up 2 flights of stairs, but we knew that going in. Front desk was unattended when we arrived. We pushed the button but the hand set was at the desk so no one arrived. I ended up calling the hotel directly and a young man finally showed up to answer the phone. That is really my only complaint. Everything else was great. Make sure to check out the breakfast house that is a couple blocks away. Amazing food and service!

The property was nice. When I had a problem with the room, I was able to change rooms. The man at the front desk was great. The building is old, but well maintained. The access to the beach is perfect and to see the ocean from out room was breathtaking. My neice and i really enjoyed out stay, felt safe and the room was very clean. I would recommend.

We loved the view and that was most important to us. The room was good. Parking was tight. Service was average. But we had a great time and will be returning.

Had a very very lovely view from our balcony on the beach. The location can't be beat. Walkable to a few very fun stores and located perfectly within the town.

Right on the beach with amazing panoramic views of the pacific. I like to park up and have a few drinks so I want bars and restaurants in walking distance. There are no bars and only one Mexican restaurant nearby…so my suggestion….take food and drink with you, buy a bundle of firewood from the hotel reception and light a fire on the beach….wish I had known this was an option before hand so I hope I’m helping someone….

The location to the beach is one of the best in Lincoln City.

It was so lovely to have the beach right outside our windows and to be able to have the sea air in our room constantly! We loved being able to wake up and go right out our door to the beach any time. :)

Bathroom lights would not shut off. Had to unscrew lightbulb so we could sleep. Other than that very nice. Good coffee in room. No breakfast. Still a beautiful view and comfy.

We always choose the Sandcastle when we visit Lincoln City. Great views, easy access to the beach, always quiet and clean. Restaurants nearby. Will continue to stay at this great beachfront hotel.

The property was clean, staff was efficient, price was reasonable. My room had an ocean view with a balcony and a fireplace. It looked like the bathroom had been renovated recently with regular + rain shower. Just up the hill there were a few shops and an excellent Mexican restaurant. Other shops and restaurants and grocery shops are just a short drive. The beach is just a few steps away and if you get out for low tide there are sea stars and other creatures near the rocks (watch your step to keep the creatures safe!).

I wished they had a continental breakfast.

No breakfast or vending machines other than pop. Great beach views right on the beach. Awesome and quiet!

This was a great place to stay! Right on the beach had a kitchenette and kids had own room in the room. Kids loved the pool but I personally thought it was too cold. I think only complaint would be that the night we got there the pop in vending machine was $1.25 but don’t know if they jacked prices for spring break but the next few night is went up to $2.25.

We had the most beautiful stay with a view of the Oregon coast. A kitchen and all.
