Online, it showed a nice swimming which was misleading because the pool was empty and overgrown. The rooms showed very nice rooms but were different once we got there. Or on average, it was okay wouldn’t rush back

A tired property with just the basics needed. Bed and shower were ok, was pleased to have the microwave, but needed to request water glasses, and used own teaspoons.

Maintenance of the room was terrible. Paint over spray on the carpet and curtain pelmet. A whole in the screen door to fit the key. Bathroom door was falling apart, no handle on the shower screen. Mattress hadnt been turned and was sinking into one spot that others had left. Etc. Do not recommend, this was 2 star if lucky

We didn't like the bed that folded us like bananas. We didn't like the shower door handle that had a three inch screw coming out the back. This threatened to disembowel us. We didn't like the paper thin towels. The propert has good potential that is being ruined by sloppy workmanship. Forget putting in a pool and pay attention to detail.

The property was very clean, looked like it had been recently painted. It had crockery and cutlery as advertised, plus a microwave which most motels don't have. Plenty of water in the shower, temperature was fine. Curtains and blinds blocked out early morning light and it was away from the main road so no road noise. Bed was comfortable. Hand basin in bathroom is very small to wash up any plates, however we only used bowls for breakfast. We were out for other meals. It suited us as we were out pretty much the whole day, just needed a place to sleep and shower. The area has so many nice cafe's it's tempting to eat out for breakfast too, which we did on our second day.

Had to wait 35 mins to get a room as room was not made up. They had ample time to do this. Electric blanket had power issues as one side worked and the other side didn’t. Was not game to use as I might have got electrocuted. Looked like there was dry blood stain on sheet. I would not recommend to anyone.

Room was dirty, surfaces hadn’t been wiped down from previous guests. Bathroom hadn’t been cleaned (used bars of soap and shower gel still in the shower). Towels smelled smoky. Beds were made but unsure if sheets had been changed from previous guests.

No one in attendance in the reception on arrival. The linen soiled and the dishes were dirty. Only one bowl and spoon for two people. Fridge up too high and froze the milk. No where to wash dishes , no detergent. Rough towels. No shampoo. Couldn’t fill kettle in basin unless using a cup. Pictures of room on website not true. No cafe on site. Exposed teabags on plate, stale. No tea towel in one of the rooms . Couch had stains on it . Sticky floor. Missing globe in bed side lamp . Hidden light switch for bunk bed area. Location was convenient for our stay and maybe it's a case of if the price seems too good to be true it probably is. It was nice that the air-conditioner was on so the room was already cool on a hot day. One bed had stained sheets, the room had an off-putting smell, the crockery/ cups weren't clean so had to go get dishwashing liquid to use them, badly stained chair fabric, just didn't feel clean and overall sanitary.

The whole thing was so bad. There was never anyone at reception. They didn’t check any details. I literally could have been anyone. The rooms were actually horrendous and we slept fully clothed because it was so gross! We didn’t even shower there because it was so bad!

in my room the sheets had a stain possible dry blood there was a missing globe over the kitchen area also the tv had bad reception and was just sitting on the table leaning up against the power cord carpets were dirty. Very comfortable bed, room was nicely decorated, very compact, and clean, space was utilised well with microwave and self catering available. Lighting was not good for reading. Reasonably priced in comparison to other places in the area. Looked a little tired with cobweb removal needed on the outside.

Ocean Crest Motel was adequate and you get what you pay for. It was neither a hot nor cold night, but the guests either side had their air conditioning units on, which were noisy. However, the bed was comfortable, but the tv didn't work.

The rooms were clean and tidy. The bathroom was so small i struggled to open the shower door and couldnt even use the basin to wash my face as there wasnt enough room. The hot water came and went so if you like a cold shower than this is your place. The reception was unmanned even at check in time. I felt like an intrusion.

Could do with a huge make over in everyway. Pillow case was dirty the air con was so loud you can't have it on while your sleeping so was freezing cold. Bathroom no space to put anything... fridge was dirty just little tubs of milk. There was a microwave and some dishes so that a start. Also a very musty smell.

We were overbooked so the room was not what was booked. There was only one bed so another had to be found . This took over an hour. When it finally arrived it was hard and extremely uncomfortable. Not at all what was expected.

The property was very clean, looked like it had been recently painted. It had crockery and cutlery as advertised, plus a microwave which most motels don't have. Plenty of water in the shower, temperature was fine. Curtains and blinds blocked out early morning light and it was away from the main road so no road noise. Bed was comfortable. Hand basin in bathroom is very small to wash up any plates, however we only used bowls for breakfast. We were out for other meals. It suited us as we were out pretty much the whole day, just needed a place to sleep and shower. The area has so many nice cafe's it's tempting to eat out for breakfast too, which we did on our second day.

Filthy carpet sticky bits ,lounge dirty , smelt Smokey , shower either scalding or cold . Tap in shower had been reverse threaded, not told about it before entry. One good thing bed was comfortable and the food was good at the cafe . We will never return .

No one in attendance in the reception on arrival. The linen soiled and the dishes were dirty. Only one bowl and spoon for two people. Fridge up too high and froze the milk. No where to wash dishes , no detergent. Rough towels. No shampoo. Couldn’t fill kettle in basin unless using a cup. Pictures of room on website not true. No cafe on site. Exposed teabags on plate, stale. No tea towel in one of the rooms . Couch had stains on it . Sticky floor. Missing globe in bed side lamp . Hidden light switch for bunk bed area. Drapes oiling close . No remote for air conditioner. . We had booked two rooms

Nice tidy place, food from cafe was nice only thing that put me off was on my last night it sounded like they were doing Reno next door with drills and everything and was last at night when it was happening but other than that was good

It was clean and comfy. Old, but obvious upgrades. Hot shower and friendly reception on arrival. Take away food the best.

This is a very basic motel that has not had any attention given to it for many years. The screen door had a hole in it and the shower head wouldn’t stay up properly and a lot of housing trust people stay there. There was a drug deal goin on which was very obvious in the car park between all the rooms. Room was warm and comfy. TV remote didn’t work so had to change channels on actual TV!

I feel the hotel is overpriced for what you get, the bed looked like it was 20 years old, the doors have over spray paint like they were trying to upgrade the hotel. there was a very strange smell in the room, and the AC had no control over. we had no book about the hotel and the local area in it. the Hotel has a very quiet location, Victor Harbor is a great location.

Do not stay at this motel. The first room they tried to put us in smelt of mould. Then the room we ended up with the screen door had a hole in it with the key just sitting in the wood door. The carpet was stained and not vacuumed, the pillow slip was stained with someone's sweat took of the pillow slip to find the pillow stained aswell. This motel looks like the furniture and linen is still the same as it was when the hotel was first built. Needs a bulldozer disgustingly filthy. The booking companies should at least have some kind of responsibility to check that hotels and motels are a little bit more honest with what customers see on the sites
