I love this place because you can park right in front of your door, unload & you don't need to stop at a front desk! They text you your key code to get into your room so there is no delay getting into your room when you arrive!

Room was decent . No ice machine on property and WiFi wouldn’t work in room , had to go outside to connect, still could only get 1 bar . Check out time was 11:00 but while packing up the car at 10:30 the 3 cleaning girls sitting outside our room in golf cart waiting for us to get out was annoying and made us feel rushed . Restaurant was pretty good

We may have been the only people staying that night, but the parking lot was freshly plowed. We received our check-in code a little after 5pm, but we arrived to the motel at 10pm and everything worked out fine. The room was pretty cold initially, but heat worked well.

Easy online reservations and check-in process. Wasn’t sure if my reservation went through so called the property owner to verify and she confirmed my reservation and explained that the check in process is all by text after housekeeping is done cleaning rooms. Received the text with key code and WiFi information around noon and was told I could check in at anytime afterwards. Very smooth process! Room was nicer than I expected and the parking lot was well lit and area was very quiet. No morning coffee or vending available but there’s 24 hr gas station just down the road so no complaints! Would definitely stay again if in the area!

There is no office. All booking and check in procedures are done online. It worked well. You can hear sounds from rooms next to you but the price is right for a quick day or two stop.

This room was very clean and the beds were so comfortable. It did take longer than normal for the water to get hot but not a big deal. We all loved this place. Just wish the restaurant that is attached was open that would have been even better.

I did like the easy check in process. Someone texts you a code for entry. Super easy and convenient. Room was clean. What I didn’t like was the fact that there wasn’t a fridge or microwave, even though photos on booking website showed them. Also, had problems connecting to their WiFi and person on other end of text was a bit rude.

Inexcusable. Understand there is no one on site to help you. You will be texted a code and a room number and if you have any real problems, like us, the person will not respond to you. Here is what happened to us. Opened the door and took one step inside. MUSTY SMELL. I immediately stepped out & texted them around 5:20pm. She had answered my question in an earlier text about a fridge and a cot for my 7 yo, so I knew she was there to respond. My text read "Hi [person]. We are here. Thankyou so much. My wife can't do musty or moldy places and may sleep in the car. It's fine for the rest of us. Would you by chance have anything that is not musty. Kindly, [me]". We went next door to eat and wait. No response after 2 hours. No response at all as of 3:30 this AM. My wife slept in the car. Kids and I opened the window and turned on the fan and tolerated it. I am a professional building inspector. I know musty when I smell it. Room on wooden floor and possible crawlspace below. I get it; small northern Michigan business trying to make it. Cut costs. No one on site to help anyone. No ice. No changes. Beware. Furthermore, I read deeply into the hotels.com comments. This is my second experience with this: all the most recent comments are glowing 8s and 10s! All comments older than 2 months are a mix and many 2s. The responses by the hotel are "you should have told us and we would have made it right." I did tell [person]. She did NOT respond.

Says sleeps 3 but standard had one queen bed....we assumed there was a sofa but there was not. No office on site. Called the number provided and initially was told that we could rent a cot for 10.00. The room was already 93.00 for absolutely no amenities such as coffee maker, ice maker..nothing. Bare essentials. Could not check in until 3 and was told within 24 hours of arrival would get an email with key code to get into room. Did not get email. Called the number and was given key code over the phone and then received a text awhile after with the information. They finally offered the cot but no one onsite that late in day so received cot next day. Free wifi sucked and did not work half the time.

Our stay was pretty good. We had problems with Wi-Fi and never did get connected which created some problems. There’s no refrigerator in the room. Overall, the room was clean and neat and was provided with towels and soap and all of those things. The beds were nice and comfortable.. There’s a nice little restaurant next-door with good food. We would stay again.

Door codes were texted to us just before 3:00, along with the WiFi password. A bit on the cabin-shabby side. The storm door screen was ripped, the main door’s wood veneer was cracked. The inside was clean, the bed was comfortable. It suited our short overnight needs.

My colleague and I came here for a necessary work trip. They advertised having WiFi, and during our 5 day stay, we were never able to connect to the internet. There was not a single bar of service in the area. The room was fine-- clean and safe at least, but when it came time to check out, we were left playing phone-tag and texting a random number trying to obtain a receipt for lodging for our work trip. Won't be staying here again.

Future guests please note - no fridge or microwave in the room. Bed was firm but comfortable. Noise from US-2 highway traffic not good for light sleepers. Otherwise, room was basic but lovely. Everything was spotless cleaned. Could have used a pen and paper pad in the room and/or some area info, like restaurant suggestions or things to do in the vicinity. There was a nice restaurant next door that opened early.

You have to check in online I end up calling to get the code for the door they said they send it to me when never was send and the noise omgs horrible our neighbors were chatting eve we can hear they conversation all night. text the owner never responded I ended up going to our neighbors to tell them to be quiet thankfully they did and went back to sleep

Our contact Leslie was fantastic! I got a text earlier in the day with our room specifics and since we didn’t get there till very late, was nice to just walk in and fall asleep. Room was immaculate and the bed was just right. The cost was perfect since we are on a budget over the holiday season as well. Will certainly be staying again on drives to see family.

We stayed August 28-30 first day was ok stayed in unit 9 went to check in there is no office everything is done over the phone seemed odd . Second day we were woke up with a gentleman walking in the room as we were sleeping woke out of a dead sleep to someone standing there saying hes staying in the same unit and had the same code as the one we were given which should have never happened. The situation could have went really bad . I called the company as soon as it happened 5 times no answer didn’t receive a call or text until the next morning saying sorry for this and he other response was (my bad ) really i said someone could have been seriously hurt in this accident of them giving both of us the same room and code.Asked for a refund for the issue and she said i can only give you one night refund that was ridiculous.

Second day we were woke up with a gentleman walking in the room as we were sleeping woke out of a dead sleep to someone standing there saying hes staying in the same unit and had the same code as the one we were given which should have never happened. The situation could have went really bad . I called the company as soon as it happened 5 times no answer didn’t receive a call or text until the next morning saying sorry for this and he other response was (my bad ) really i said someone could have been seriously hurt in this accident of them giving both of us the same room and code.Asked for a refund for the issue and she said i can only give you one night refund that was ridiculous.

Easy online reservations and check-in process. Wasn’t sure if my reservation went through so called the property owner to verify and she confirmed my reservation and explained that the check in process is all by text after housekeeping is done cleaning rooms. Received the text with key code and WiFi information around noon and was told I could check in at anytime afterwards. Very smooth process! Room was nicer than I expected and the parking lot was well lit and area was very quiet. No morning coffee or vending available but there’s 24 hr gas station just down the road so no complaints! Would definitely stay again if in the area!

Quiet and clean. There is no office, everything is done via text. If you don't have a room number and code once there, just give them a call. They'll hook you up right away

We appreciated the location, cleanliness, updated interior, and rate of our room and also that it was pet friendly. Grounds were well kept. Water pressure a bit low in our shower but that was it. We'd definitely stay there again.

For those looking for something out in this remote area (it is quite remote), this is a good hotel. We got the family suite with three queen beds and it was a little tight for space, but the beds were incredibly comfortable and it was very reasonably priced for a family with little ones...and those looking for just a comfortable place to sleep before continuing on their journey. The owners are very nice and helpful and the hidden gem of the restaurant across from the rooms in the parking lot was a great way to start out the day and prepare for another long drive, but with a full stomach. Great quality food and amazing staff made it very special. Admittedly, the rooms were a little dated, but were clean and everything worked and beds looked brand new and were luxurious.

My granddaughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our little room with two queen/dbl beds. The hotel is located central to the places we wanted to visit. It was clean, quiet and check in was very easy also. Instead of a fridge and microwave, we used a cooler with ice and made sandwhiches for lunch. We will use this hotel again for our next trip to the Upper peninsula.

Owners are doing good to maintain premises. Surrounding areas have virtually nothing but may be ideal for snow season. Property was nicely updated and retains original characteristics in some areas. Convenient access.

Stayed here for a couple of days exploring the UP, and it's a great little home base to explore the area, especially for Seney National Wildlife Refuge (about 15 minutes away from the wildlife drive loop). We ended up staying an extra night a few days after our first stay when storms cut our camping portion of the trip short by a day. Also don't miss the restaurant for breakfast or lunch, excellent food and service (Helen is great).

Our stay was pretty good. We had problems with Wi-Fi and never did get connected which created some problems. There’s no refrigerator in the room. Overall, the room was clean and neat and was provided with towels and soap and all of those things. The beds were nice and comfortable.. There’s a nice little restaurant next-door with good food. We would stay again.

Motel itself was exactly what you’d expect considering the age of the building. It was fine for sleeping…just very old. The restaurant however leaves a lot to be desired. They were short staffed and didn’t know how to cook.

Future guests please note - no fridge or microwave in the room. Bed was firm but comfortable. Noise from US-2 highway traffic not good for light sleepers. Otherwise, room was basic but lovely. Everything was spotless cleaned. Could have used a pen and paper pad in the room and/or some area info, like restaurant suggestions or things to do in the vicinity. There was a nice restaurant next door that opened early.

The only 2 things about this hotel that was good was the bed was nice and it was clean. However we were told to tap the light over the sink so it would turn on. Didn't work the furniture in the room looked like it came from different estate sales. The labels were wrong on the faucets and it took several minutes for it to get hot. The coffee pot, the spring on the pot that told it to release the coffee was spung so I had to hold the pot up to get the mud to come out. The filter was for a regular size pot not a four cup pot so needless to say we left after getting a few hours of sleep even though the sheets popped off the bed every time we moved. And there was NO STAFF you had to send a text or call the number.
