Cute hotel located about 10 mins from the city core! Quiet and gated. Very clean rooms with many having balconies with great views of the sea or mountains. Breakfast was included very tasty and many options. Pool area was clean and one en 24hrs

Good overall, nice clean air conditioning room. Pool doesn’t seem like it is being cleaned regular, if you would like to use it. Nice upgrade to the lobby area.

Service was pleasant. Received a room upgrade for a slight cost which was nice. Air conditioner was effective and the location of the hotel being a short drive to Boston Beach was fine. Breakfast was tasty. The bar was closed, the pool seemed dirty, and there was no water or coffee in the room. The hotel was under renovations and the facelift will help. Sadly the road to the hotel was under repair so the drive in was a hazard. Once these changes occur the hotel will be a better place to stay. At this time I can't recommend it.

Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. The beds were plush. Most of the rooms have a balcony which is great for relaxing. Breakfast was included and was good. Wish the bar was open in the evenings as there isn't much to do entertainment wise unless you venture out unto town. I would definitely stay here again.

Restaurant should be open for more than just breakfast.

This was a great stay. The staff was great and well organized. Breakfast was good. The parking spot was there but a bit limited. Wonderful staff. Will be back again.

Match is nice affordable accommodation with modern room setup. The property has a pool and an on site restaurant and a small store with the little essentials in case you forgot them or just need snacks. The food is great as well and the staff there from the owner , front desk and housekeepers are warm and welcoming. Match definitely gives a great home away from home feeling.

The lobby of course sparkling. But the bedrooms were very dated We needed three bedrooms we thought they would be adjoining but they were not I had children with me and another adult We would preferred to know that we could lock the wing the handles of the doors were very shaky and not feeling comfortable with that. The ladder to the pool was rusted and finally broke He is replacing it right away and took priority The pool was not labeled near the deep end which could cause a serious serious accident and or otherwise. I didn't feel that it was as clean as it should have been. He did very much accommodate us when the room that we booked was not the room that we got however he said it was an upgrade and gave us complimentary breakfast. I feel that they are understaffed but don't know how many customers they get on a regular I feel that it could have been cleaned a little more the bedrooms the bathrooms the tub area had brownish markings I didn't know if it was dirty or just overtime use. It was good / okay for the one night we had to be there. I made him aware of some changes that would be better for him to make immediately and not wait on them otherwise it was okay for a night. Again we was supposed to have the villa but at the last minute we're giving three separate rooms with the children being in the middle room and us being on the outskirts. It was nice again for the night and if you have to sleep somewhere and travel around it would be fine too

Everything is falling apart, needs a lot of TLC. The water is the pool was cloudy, the lounge chairs by the pool were dirty and broken. They need to spend some money to bring this place to life. The landscaping and the building are very dirty and disheveled. No maintenance at all. Even the sign is broken. I can’t believe they care about that place. The place has a lot of potential, the owner needs to care about his investment and do better.

My stay at the Match Resort was two weeks ago. Upon arriving the outside of the property is nice and the inside is nice minus some updates that this hotel could use, it is situated in a good area. The staff was welcoming, shout out to Maria and the chef they were nice people, but I have to say my baby got sick the very next day and my husband and I woke up feeling stuffy, I tried to get someone to check the ac filter, there was no one, My husband had to end up opening the ac and taking out the filter which was disgustingly filthy!!!! We had to wash it! Its a filter that can be washed! Honestly I would not stay here again! my baby was sick for the whole rest of the trip! And when I arrived I had to get some one to remove the rug from my room because it had the whole room smelling horrible, they came and noticed that the rug was so nasty underneath!! Oh man, they need to do better here, we did enjoy the free breakfast, but whoever is overseeing this hotel has to do better with keeping the rooms clean!

I really enjoyed my stay, definitely going back and the breakfast was amazing. Rooms are clean and smells fresh.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Rooms smelled like mold.

My experience at this property was extremely disappointing. 1. Upon arrival, the first thing I noticed was the presence of roaches crawling on the furniture and across the floor. This immediately raised concerns about cleanliness and hygiene. 2. When I attempted to take a shower, I discovered that the water wouldn’t drain properly. I was forced to shower while standing in stagnant water, which was both uncomfortable and unsanitary. 3. The bathroom also lacked basic privacy and safety. The window was missing its glass pane and was left open, with only a burglar bar installed on the inside. This made me feel exposed and unsafe throughout my stay. I reported these issues verbally to a supervisor, who assured me that I would receive a follow-up call, but no one ever reached out. Upon checkout, I brought up the condition of the property again to the front desk manager, but he was dismissive and unprofessional, showing no concern for the issues I raised including the infestation and poor maintenance. Overall, this stay was unacceptable, and I would not recommend this property to anyone.

I'll never stay here again, nor will I recommend this hotel to anyone. The property/rooms look awful. The washcloths and towels need to change. I've seen motels in better condition. Their so-call security lied about the hotel not having a microwave. Instead of trying to help us, he went back to his phone as usual. Only to be told by the chef that morning that they have a microwave, which is accessible to everyone staying at the hotel. And to top the list, they do not have a water tank to supply the hotel. They woke us up one morning to say that there is no water and though they ordered it, the water won't arrive in the next 30-45mns. Worst birthday/vacation ever !!

The room was spacious and the view breathtaking. However, the sliding door to the balcony could not be locked and the closet door needs repair. There was also an infestation of biting ants.

This was not worth $200 a night! The gentleman checking us in was nice. The room, Banana 2 bedroom suite, was full of problems.bothe bedrooms had no beside tables so we had to put ourphones, water, drinks on the floor! The shower head needs cleaning out, only cold water at bathroom sink, our bedroom door sticks to the floor had to lift it up to close it, all the jalousie windows were so difficult to open and close , water tap in kitchen had only cold water and had to turn the handle about 15 times before water comes out, cracked and broken mirror in bathroom, so many small problems that can easily be fixed!. In general the propert looks like it needs updating

Match Resort was the perfect affordable option for a quick overnight stay in Portland. The staff was very kind and the room was clean. I loved that each room has it's own private veranda. Breakfast was delicious. The only negative was that at 6am on a Sunday morning, someone was cleaning pots and pans in the kitchen directly below my window for over an hour, it was quite loud and kept me awake. "Clank-Clank" So just be sure to request a room away form the kitchen/dining area. :) Overall it's a wonderful place!

I like the property but it needsto be updated. I stay in H4 the ac was not working at first its an very old unit the sliding door to balcony does not work easy. Didn't like the fact that i check in at 230 am on the 31st and i want to stay untill the 1st i had to pay extra so we checked out at 2pm on the 31st..

The owner and staff are kind, responsive to needs and create a family atmosphere at this quaint homelike hotel. Big shout out to Alloy for exceptional service. I'll definitely stay again!!

Lovely stay with just one issue. We stayed at Match Resort for one night from Saturday to Sunday and overall, it was a very enjoyable experience. The lobby was beautifully decorated with pictures and artwork showcasing Jamaican culture, which gave it a warm and inviting feel. Check-in at the front desk was seamless, and the staff were friendly and professional. One feature I especially appreciated was how breakfast orders are taken at the front desk upon check-in. This made the breakfast experience smooth and efficient the next morning. Speaking of breakfast, the stew chicken was absolutely delicious! The pool area was lovely and well-maintained, and the pool itself was very clean. I also loved the coconut ice cream sold on the property such a refreshing treat! The only downside to my stay was a room mix-up. I had booked two king rooms one for myself and one for my sister. While my sister received a spacious and beautifully decorated king room, I was given a much smaller queen room due to an apparent oversight. Unfortunately, the hotel was fully booked, so no changes could be made. This was disappointing, especially since the room type had been booked in advance. I would recommend that management double-check room assignments, particularly for online bookings, to ensure guests receive exactly what they paid for. Despite that hiccup, Match Resort is a charming hotel with great service, clean facilities, and a relaxing atmosphere.

Time to pay, the owner has to come in, guest must wait, anything broken, owner has to come, he never did for the clogged bath tub. No towel service, staff don’t show up, NO ONE at the front desk. Chef only one on property, can’t answer questions, it’s not his capacity anyway, he did the best he could. Dining area needs care, ants in the sugar, please use a sugar shaker not a bowl. No coffee, no staff to turn on water and machine in the early morning. I think it comes down to owner not wanting to pay and is cheap. Guest service comes first. While you’re not able to measure up to large properties, please improve the SERVICE, your staff is complaining to the guest, because you don’t pay them, they have no interest in showing up to perform. Please incentivize them and encourage them, they want to work. You nickle and dime them and they become disenfranchised. Why is front office cleaning rooms, working in laundry, helping in the dining room. You need a phone so guest can call from the room. I feel bad as a guest, this taints the experience. Not sure I would recommend.

This is the second time my husband and I visited this property….. and again I loveeeee it here…. It’s sooo peaceful and quiet and the staffs are very friendly…. Did I mentioned that the breakfast is excellent…. I will definitely be visiting again . My only problem was the road is verrrrryyyyyy bad . My first time there the road was worst tho , I hope they will fix the road soon .

Based on the location of the property is would be ideal if the property provide some regular shuttle services to the beach and shopping areas. 2 hour intervals leave the property and designated pick-up points.

Mrs. Maria is a wonderful host, she made us feel like home and we are still talking about the amazing breakfast. Something that is out of Mrs. Marias control is the road leading to the property, I have no words to describe it but this is a shame. Thank you Mrs. Maria, Peter & Marci.

This was a refreshing experience! The staff were expecting me upon arrival and were so welcoming. And breakfast was delicious!! Very authentic Jamaican food. This property is right next to the Trident castle & Only 5 mins drive from Frenchman’s Cove (literally)!! Great experience 🔥🔥

Excellent breakfast.

I think it’s my 3rd time visiting and it’s my absolute favorite place in Portland. It’s so quiet and peaceful and the breakfast is very tasty . I will definitely visit again in my next trip .
