STILE Downtown Los Angeles

Jag gillar detta. Det finns en reception men används bara om du själv vill. Allt funkade perfekt med koder och incheckning i telefonen. Bara att knalla in och ta sitt rum, inget snack. Supersmidigt. Bodde i ett litet enkelt rum, jäkligt cool känsla. Lite NY Studio känsla med betonggak och ruffa väggar. Coolt, inget lulllull alls, bara coolt. Bra dusch, bra tv, rent och enkelt. Kaffe, te, kylskåp, säkerhetsskåp. Kikade aldrig poolen. Ser nice ut på bilderna men lite kallt när jag var där så missade den. Jag kommer tillbaka!

This place was a little unconventional, for me at least. You needed a code to enter the building, a code for the elevator, and a code for your room - no keys or key cards. Security-wise I guess it's effective, but it took some getting used to and I'm not sure getting information from them without a mobile phone would have been very easy. The room was very clean and comfortable, and it had the usual amenities -- hair dryer, in-room coffee maker, safe, iron, etc. -- but the television only offered about a dozen channels, and no network TV, which was a bit unusual -- not being able to get the local morning news and weather. That aside, the staff was very friendly and helpful and the cafe downstairs was very convenient. I had booked STILE because of its proximity to the Orpheum Theatre down the street, but I have to say that the area is not ideal. S. Broadway itself is OK, but there are limited dining and shopping options, and once you veer off to the side streets, it doesn't feel very safe, especially to this older woman traveling alone, with lots of unhoused people accosting you. Not the hotel's fault, obviously, but definitely a consideration.

Nice boutique hotel. Currently remodeling whole floors. Could not use the pool area due to the remodeling. My experience was of 7 showers only 2 were hot water all others was lukewarm.
