It is obvious that the owner of the property has done a lot of work painting and fixing it up. It is an older establishment. There are no elevators. When we stayed it was in the middle of a heatwave and walking the 3 floors up to the room was challenging as we are in the over 60 crowd. The pool was lovely. The facility was clean. As it was so hot, we actually spent more time in the room than we would normally, and TV was not fabulous. If the weather was more comfortable the TV wouldn't have been an issue. All in all, I would stay here again. It is good for the price.

Love the retro feel of the hotel, and the staff was friendly and accommodating from the minute we arrived until we left. Easy walk to the beach and other areas for food or shopping. Pool was a nice amenity as well.

Fenwick Islander Motel was a great place to stay. It is only two blocks to the beach. It is right on route 1, so it is easy to find. They have plenty of parking, and once we parked we could get to anywhere we wanted to be on foot. The place has a comfy roadside motel feel that have me a nostalgic feeling. The facilities are very well maintained.

I took my husband and son here for Father's day weekend. It was our first family trip & first time staying here. It was awesome that we had a pool and it was a short walk to a private beach. I would definately say this will be my go to for all future beach trips!

The staff were very friendly and were quick with any issues. Our a/c didn’t work well and so we were immediately moved to another room. The rooms were plain and clean which is what we expected. There were plenty of toiletries and towels. The pool is small but very clean and the sun sets behind it so lovely to hang out, swim and watch the sun go down. We really enjoyed being able to sit out on the balcony to read. It’s one block walk to the beach. The team 100% met our expectations and more given the very affordable cost.

Front desk staff was so nice. Not a fancy property, no elevators, old school vending machines that require cash, but everything is clean, the pool is cute, the beach is right across the street and it was perfect for a quick stay!

The motel was very disappointing considering the reviews were high, they had bleached wash clothes in bathroom and we found a bug in our room, went to front desk and asked if they had another room but they were fully book so we left and to drive back home and I asked for a refund. They also told me that they had remodeled the rooms the bathroom hadn’t been touched the bath tub was peeling and old. And this was not a cheap motel. It left a very bad taste in my mouth.

Bathroom was dirty, no water pressure, you run the sink water and the drain smells so bad makes you want to puke. Beds were horrible could tell they haven’t been replaced in years. Floors were dirty. Place was very outdated.

First thing was that I was overcharged to stay there for 2 nights, I paid for a room with a balcony and when I got there to check in I was told there was a computer error and I am not getting a room with a balcony. I was never issued any money back for that either. The floors are laminate and were filthy. The bathtub had hair all in it. Then the refrigerator went up and leaked all over the floor. The beds are horrible!! I stayed there 5 years ago and it was a lot nicer than it is now. I would not recommend this place. I will not be staying there ever again either.

Stayed over night. The Hotel rooms were EXCEPTIONALLY CLEAN. The staff was great. Keurig coffee maker in the lobby available 24/7. Coffeemaker, fridge, microwave, and sink in the room. Nice spacious balcony with chairs. Would definitely stay again.

An older hotel, with an fantastic person in the reception, whos name was Karen (I believe). She was very warm and caring. The room and hotel is ok. Nothing fancy, but the location with the beach just 4-5 min walkingdistance is fantastic. The beach and the area is wonderful. We had a room towards the street and it was a litte noisy from the street, but i was ok. Its much better with a room towards the back that you also see fantastic houses and watercanals.

Karen at the front desk went above and beyond for my birthday, her kindness and service was unmatched - thank you Ms Karen for ensuring my birthday trip was absolutely amazing! Super convenient to walk to get food and the beach is only a block away! The room was awesome with a nice canal view

The Fenwick Islander Motel is nice and the people are friendly, They can invest in some new mattresses, we had a room with a king bed and it was in the shape of a U. I would have to consider another place to stay, as it was just not comfortable to sleep.

I was told when I booked the room, even though I chose the room the computer can change it, I paid for a king deluxe Canal view. I got a queen Street view, I was told while I was yelled at that. There is nothing I can do. It is a deceptive practice that apparently they’ve been getting away with for years, any place you stay you pay more for a water beach or sea view.as a business owner, I would never let any of my employees yell at someone who chooses to spend their money in or on or at, Whatever I’m associated with. I will confront the issue myself if need be my second night my bed was replaced with a king bed.but being treated so disrespectful by staff in front of other guest, it’s just not a place that I would recommend for any of my organisations or associates to stay when they visit Fenwick Island

I was told when I booked the room, even though I chose the room the computer can change it, I paid for a king deluxe Canal view. I got a queen Street view, I was told while I was yelled at that. We checked in, took a room without a view even though it was reserved.. to be able to check in early. Due to weather conditions, the power in the hotel was half out. Cant figure that out yet. The office, some rooms, the laundry all worked but we had nothing. Went to the front desk to ask if she knew what was going on and got very smart a$$ responses about how she didn't know & was surely not checking every room. So we sat in our dark room with the balcony door open to get air in the room, since of coursethere was no air conditioning.. i guess my biggest gripe is. If you knew there were rooms with & rooms without, why couldn't there be some room changes.. there wasn't nore than a dozen or so cars in the lot..

The staff were very friendly and were quick with any issues. Our a/c didn’t work well and so we were immediately moved to another room. The rooms were plain and clean which is what we expected. There were plenty of toiletries and towels. The pool is small but very clean and the sun sets behind it so lovely to hang out, swim and watch the sun go down. We really enjoyed being able to sit out on the balcony to read. It’s one block walk to the beach. The team 100% met our expectations and more given the very affordable cost.

we had a lovely experience at the fenwick islander. it was clean, well-maintained, and in a great location. Karen at the front desk was extremely friendly and accommodating as well! she answered all of our questions, helped us navigate the area’s public transportation options, and gave us great suggestions for dining.

Stay was ok, typical older hotel. Front desk staff wasn't there on check in which required waiting 30min. They were clearly overrun with other guests. But we're very friendly and helpful. Beach was close, few good places to eat within in a few mins walk.

Love the retro feel of the hotel, and the staff was friendly and accommodating from the minute we arrived until we left. Easy walk to the beach and other areas for food or shopping. Pool was a nice amenity as well.

An older hotel, with an fantastic person in the reception, whos name was Karen (I believe). She was very warm and caring. The room and hotel is ok. Nothing fancy, but the location with the beach just 4-5 min walkingdistance is fantastic. The beach and the area is wonderful. We had a room towards the street and it was a litte noisy from the street, but i was ok. Its much better with a room towards the back that you also see fantastic houses and watercanals.

Fenwick Islander Motel was a great place to stay. It is only two blocks to the beach. It is right on route 1, so it is easy to find. They have plenty of parking, and once we parked we could get to anywhere we wanted to be on foot. The place has a comfy roadside motel feel that have me a nostalgic feeling. The facilities are very well maintained.

It was a great value for the area. We were right on the main strip. Beds and rooms comfortable. The facility very clean. Very accessible very walkable. had a tiny kitchenette in the room. Wonderful view.

We loved this hotel. The location was perfect. And it looks like the owners take pride in their place. However, there were just a few things that could have made our trip better. 1. The floor had sand on it. It’s understandable since it’s so close to the beach. But I couldn’t find anyone to ask for a broom so we could sweep out our room. We had to wipe our feet on towels to prevent sand from getting into the bed. 2. It would be helpful if there was a fly swatter in the room. We had two pesky flies that would not leave us alone. I used a hand towel to kill them. 3. The bathtub appears to have been painted. The paint was peeling off. And actually peeled off on my feet when showering. 4. The doors to the hallway was left propped open over night. This could have been a security issue. 5. It was extremely humid in our room. Here are the positives: 1. Friendly greeting upon arrival. 2. Room overall clean. 3. Bed slept well. 4. Pool looked very inviting!!!! 5. Hotel within walking distance to several restaurants. 6. Wonderful view of canal. 7. Great parking.
