The location was great walking distance to town and a lovely walk along the river. Bathroom was renovated, the shower was excellent. Water flow strong and hot. Furnishings were dated. The biggest downside for us was the traffic noise being very close to a intersection. It was noisy late afternoon and evening then again from 5am. I chose this hotel due to reviews commenting it was quiet which it definitely wasn't.

On arrival receptionist/owner said room fee was higher than fee listed on our hotels.com confirmed booking email. We showed owner email but they were not interested in our confirmed booking email or in helping resolve issue by discussion with hotels.com. We did persist with our point several times but not in a rude manner. We finally reluctantly agreed to their terms because it was late and we had no where else to go. Later that night the receptionist's husband/owner rang me (accusing me of bullying his wife) in an arrogant, harassing and bullying manner and hanging up before allowing me to speak to tell my side of the event. I rang back but again he was bullying and hung up before I could speak. Talk about the Pot calling the Kettle black. It was very disappointing that were unwilling to provide any assistance.
