Nice room, comfortable bed. Bathroom floor was not as clean as it could be with hair still there. Room is above a bar that can be loud but everything pretty much shuts down at about 11pm so it doesn't go on too long. Early morning construction is very loud too but may be done by summer. There is no parking out front as it's the pedestrian street but the lot behind is very close. They will ticket you moments after the parking times start so beware. Convenient location to shops and dining.

Not much of a “staff” to speak of really. We checked in at the bar of the restaurant. The room was fine and instant coffee was available in the small community kitchen - but no powdered creamer.

We stayed here on night. The room was modern and clean. I like that the hotel has a washer and a dryer for guests to use. It is free and convenient.

Right at the centre of the city, might not always have parking at the front but big parking area just behind. There are restaurants around and some open til 11. Walkable to the church and cultural centre. And very convenient self serving laundry.

Room was comfortable but sound proofing was limited - we could hear a lot of noise coming from other guests. Expedia marks this hotel as including parking - this is untrue. There is ample parking nearby but you will have to walk a block or two and pay for it weekdays between 10-16.

Laundry room is great! Convenient location. Friendly staff. Kitchen has no cooktop. But it has plenty coffee and tea.

This was a cute little hotel. More like a guest house over a restaurant. The room was lovely and the bathroom decent and clean. There is a shared kitchenette and small lounge area on each floor for guests. The guesthouse is above a cute restaurant with delicious food, and in the main area of Akureyri, so it was very walkable to other restaurants and shops. Parking was easy across the street from the hotel as well and staff were friendly and efficient.

Good simple but clean hotel right in the heart of town. Has a nice bar and decent restaurant. Check in is at the bar but this wasn’t a problem as it was fairly quiet. Can be a little noisy on a Saturday night when the town is out but otherwise fine. Would stay there again.

Not a bad hotel. Clean and modern, but basic, not much more to it than the room. It is in the middle of downtown so it’s centrally located to a lot of shopping and walkable attractions like the botanical garden. Parking is a paid lot behind the hotel, except free on weekends. The road in front of the hotel is closed to traffic so you do have to roll your bags a short walk.

This hotel is very clean and cozy. There is a nice restaurant downstairs, also very cozy... The type of place that a person would feel perfectly comfortable eating alone in. There is also a beautiful bar and lounge area at the back of the property. Friendly staff, great location in the heart of the city. When I return I would not even consider staying anywhere else.

There is no receptionist. You get your key card from the cashier in the restaurant. The room did not match the picture in the advertisement. The queen bed was very comfortable but it was surrounded on 3 sides by walls. My wife has to climb over me to get to the bathroom. There is no desk, TV, night stands or even an elevator. The room has wood floors but housekeeping never sweep under the bed. You can see hair, dust and residue from previous guest. In all our travels, this was one of the worst.

The hotel room is under remodeling. The hall and room smell strong paint. There is trash bag and tissue. Basically the room is not ready.

The hotel was clean and in good condition, and everything worked. The not so good. Our room was tiny. There was about 2ft of floor space on either side of the bed, and 3 ft at the foot. Nowhere to put our suitcases except on the bed - had to close them up at night. One straight back wooden chair that was in the way. If we had been spending more time in the room, it would have been an issue.

Great hotel right downtown. Very clean.

We booked this property last minute due to a road washout on the ring road in the direction we were supposed to go. Was a pretty good room, lots of options for food close by, the room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Only downside was lots of noise from traffic and people, but that's to be expected in downtown.

This hotel is attached to the restaurant where they are staffed to answer any questions. The rooms were modern but very small. The lighting was also very dark, not bad just something to note. It was cozy but it can be loud as it is right beside the busy shopping district/street. Parking is also just street parking so pay/at your own risk. Breakfast was nice & healthy.

The room was tiny but clean and the bed was very comfortable! There was some construction happening but no biggie. Biggest complaint is that the WiFi didn’t work at all. I asked the staff at the restaurant (where you check in and where the WiFi is coming from I believe) and they didn’t have any advice for me.

Check-in: The process was smooth and easy. Although the elevator wasn’t available at the time, the staff kindly assisted us with our luggage, which we appreciated. Room: The room did not have a kettle, coffee, or tea, which we’ve usually found in other hotels. There was also no heater, which might be inconvenient during winter. During our stay, the room felt warmer than expected — even with the window open and the small electric fan provided, it was still uncomfortable, as the fan wasn’t quite effective.

I’d probably call this more a fancy hostel than a hotel. Check-in was at the bar next door. The room was small with a tiny window and a loud fan outside. Walls were really thin. Could easily hear conversations next door. Bathroom floor under the sink not clean. Bed was fine. No coffee - there was a communal kitchen but no mugs. They did have washer and dryer but the washer failed on the spin cycle on one of two loads.

Took us half hour to figure where the hotel was. It is not easy to check in. Better instructions needed. Just tell customers park their car on the street and walk to restaurant/bar to check in. I had to ask the bar attendant who could help me to check in. Kind of being ignored since they awere serving their customers who were eating or drinking. It was strange to find checking in processing was in the hotel restaurant.

I'm not sure what happened here, but upon arrival, the hotel did not have a room for me. They had my information from Expedia, but no longer had a room available. I received messages from the hotel a few days earlier with check in instructions and everything, which led me to believe everything was in order. The clerk checking me in said it was an issue at Expedia and attempted to call them, but said that the message stated that they were "closed". I only had wifi service so couldn't place calls myself. I did the only thing I could and booked a last minute room at Hotel Kea (just around the block) for a significantly higher price. Thankfully they were able to check me in upon arrival! Upon reporting my issues to Expedia when I arrived home, they attempted to reach out to the hotel for a refund and their response to me stated verbatim "even though it was a non-refundable booking, I pushed for more flexibility and they decided to approve your refund." Excuse me? I prepaid for a room months ago, it was not available upon arrival at 5pm on the day of my booking, and Expedia had to "push for flexibility" to get a refund? Honestly I think they should have had to offer a refund plus the difference that I was forced to pay to rebook at the other hotel. I would not recommend this hotel based on this experience. Be careful when booking this hotel!

チェックインの際、予約に名前がないと言われ、焦りました。でも、予約済みの画面を見せると、すぐに対応してくれたので、ほっとしました。ホテルの一階がバーで、チェックインはそこで対応してくれます。ハッピーアワーでビールを飲みました。種類がたくさんあって悩みました。ビールは、とてもおいしかったです。スタッフの方も、フレンドリーに接してくれて嬉しかったです。部屋は、やや狭かったですが、コーヒーコーナーや無料のランドリーがあり、助かりました。

The check in place was also a bar(weird) so they were busy and we had to wait, then they put us in the ‘new part’ of the hotel which had tight room and poor air flow. We couldn’t find cups or air dryer which later they said were in some drawer. WiFi didn’t work. We called twice but not much help. Overall there wasn’t much care in the whole setting or service for the guests. Location is good for walking around but not quiet as our room facing the Main Street. it was a very unpleasant experience.

We had a excellent stay here. The room was clean, they had a tub! The breakfast was decent, Id just hit up one of the bakeries instead. The staff was nice and accommodating. You are downtown with all kinds of dining options within walking distance. I'd stay here again for sure.

Hotel is in the best location in Akureyri. The room I got was outdated and needs renovation, bed was comfortable though. Bar/check inn staff was not very helpful. Bed was never made for the 3 nights I stayed at the hotel. In my opinion the experience would have been way better if management was better.

Took a little bit to find the parking. Otherwise it is a great location with lots of options to eat around.

Great location on a pedestrian mall but that led to a great deal of street noise well into the night. When one nearby business closed down at midnight the noise was cacophonous. Restaurant was excellent.

Great location. While I was here they were transitioning into some newly acquired space. Getting around the property was a little odd but of course this will be temporary. I thoroughly enjoyed staying here. The back of the property walks out to public parking and the front walks out to a pedestrian promenade with shops and restaurants.

Great location, right in the middle of a lively resort town.

The property was on an extremely noisy street where drunk people were screaming all night long. Curtains were not wide enough to block the light at a time when the sun hardly sets, so it was hard to sleep. There was no parking, in fact the street was closed to vehicles. We had to park in a public parking lot and had to walk with a lot of luggage to get there. Entrance was through a bar! It was extremely weird for us with kids and suitcases walking through a bar full of people drinking and relaxing! Room was too small and with sofa bed pulled out there was no space to walk. Horrible and overpriced!

Hotel located in the city center. It was a little difficult to find. You do not have parking on site. Not far to park, but notable. A little loud at night from the hostel down the street. But overall good stay.

The room was good. Contained all the essentials and had blackout curtains. Check in was easy at the restaurant. The optional breakfast I would skip and hit up a local coffee shop.

Parking close to the hotel is not easy. Hotel was clean and tidy but the breakfast offered was not good value for money.
