Nous avons quitté le séjour après la première nuit Entre la non possibilité de se garer, le coût du parcmètre 25€/4h, pas de clim soit disant dans tout l’hôtel ! Une chaleur insupportable dans la chambre, pas de réponse de l’accueil au téléphone, une personne a l’accueil qui ne sourit pas, répond approximativement avec un sourire en coin Bref un cauchemar C’est la première fois que nous vivons une expérience comme Celle ci via expédia !

Very good stay. Excellent service! The lovely girl from the reception made sure we ware comfortable and not to hot in our room, ( since the air conditioner wasn’t working). Coffee or tea complementary for the guest. Very convenient location near to the transportation. On the way back to the airport we took regular bus 272 ( for 2.50 euros) it takes little bit longer about 40 minutes, but worth it if someone is on a budget. Very clean hotel simple, but clean, got everything you need. Walking distance to the main attraction.

This is a very decent, modern-designed 3* hotel that is most often great value for money (i.e. under 100 euros per night). If one takes bigger double room (20 m2) then it is very comfortable. Staff is very pleasant and efficient - gave me free bottles of water after clubbing. Did not try their 15 euros breakfast. The only issue could be location that is not in the ideal neighborhood. But both metro and tram station (and bus 272 for airport) are just few metres away so you can easily spend your evenings in nicer areas. Otherwise, there is a very nice bar of nhow hotel across the road and great late night Le Snack Botanique around the corner....Several chain markets (Carrefour, Delhaize) are only couple of minutes walk.

Was in a good location with a lot of restaurants and a supermarket underneath. The Grand Place is just a 20min walk away which did not bother us a lot, as we got to explore the city on foot. The host, an old man was really welcoming. There was free coffee and fruit to take all the time. We were very happy about that. The bathroom was abit unconveniently designed, the shower head and no platform to keep my toileteries. Overall a good stay for a night

I was sent to a second building of the Hotel Retro into the rook 502. Which is fine as a standard. But nobody warned me that there is no lift up to the 5th floor. It ends on the fourth floor then you have to walk up taking narrow wooden stairs with your bag.

Stanza mai pulita durante i 5 giorni nei quali abbiamo soggiornato. Solo un cambio degli asciugamani e portare via la spazzatura su nostra richiesta. Mancava un asciugamano ( eravamo tre ospiti) ma non è stato integrato . Dispenser sapone doccia e mani vuoto. All arrivo abbiamo notato 4 rotoli di carta igienica che ci hanno fatto capire a fine vacanza che il servizio pulizia non esiste....La reception su una via mentre l ingresso alle stanze su via non molto bella senza personale all' ingresso quindi poco sicuro.

duştaki perde küflenmiş sanırım kokusu bütün odayı sarmıştı. bu yüzden duş deneyimim korkunç geçti. onun dışında yatak rahattı ama çarşafların ve havluların temiz olduğundan emin olamadım. genel olarak iyi değildi.

The area is so close to everything and made things easier. The room I had, 203 at the other side of the building was having The heater faulty and the room wasn't clean at all. Flooring was dusty and full of long black hair and inside the safe was a rotten and smelly pack of salami. I have informed reception about it and all they offered were some blankets not even apologising. Really poor sleep.

The Lobby looks very nice. Very friendly employees. Room was small but ok for the nights. Bed was a bit hard for us but that’s just our opinion. The Hotel has a good location for visiting Brussels. A bit negative is a job site next to the hotel. But we would come back again.

Lovely place to stay, staff were friendly and helpful. The only downside is that it was quite noisy, the doors are heavy to shut and this sound travelled, especially at night. The building next door were load and the windows/ walls didn't keep out much noise, with shouting/ singing and sirens from the road coming through. but all in all a lovely place to stay!

The property had a comfortable, good sized double bed, with nice memory foam pillows. The shower was excellent with good pressure and hot water which can be lacking at some cheaper hotels. There was a shop just outside the entrance which was convenient. The surrounding area was sketchy, and the walk from the north station was not family friendly. the windows were not remotely soundproof and there were trams passing all night which made for a rough nights sleep. Overall did what it needed to do, a place to sleep and shower but wouldn’t recommend to a friend.

The bed was terrible. I am 5'11" and my feet were all out, not counting that the mattress was uncomfortable and the "queen" bed was made of two twin beds badly connected.

Room is clean and looks like the pictures. Smaller than you may expect. Very noisy, you can hear a lot of noise from the road outside, from the elevator and from other rooms if someone loud is next to you. Staff were very friendly.

Malgré un excellent accueil, nous avons été déçus car la TV ne fonctionnait pas. A titre de dédommagement, le responsable nous a "offert" 10 euros ! Nous pensions avoir au moins un petit déjeuner remboursé. De plus, ce petit déjeuner facturé à 15 euros était léger.

über Expedia online gebucht, Buchungsbestätigungen erhalten, beim Hotel angekommen, es war nach 23:00 Uhr kein Personal mehr vor Ort. Es hingen Zettel an der Türe, man könnte unter folgender Telefonnr. anrufen. Dort hatten wir niemanden erreicht. Wir standen vor geschlossenen Türen. Leider wurde man nicht vorher drüber informiert. Wir mussten für ein Hotelzimmer bezahlen für Nichts !!! Somit mussten wir wieder fahren. Das Geld wurde uns von dem dem Hotel Retro auch nicht wieder zurück erstattet. Obwohl wir selbst am nächsten Tag mit dem Herren von der Rezeption Hotel Retro telefoniert hatten, er sah dass es kein Check Inn gab. Trotzdem war er nicht bereit dazu das Geld auf unsere Visa wieder zurück zu buchen. Eine große Frechheit! Trotz den Bemühungen der Kollegen in der Hotline von Expedia. Das Hotel werde ich definitiv NICHT weiter empfehlen !!! Sehr schlechter Service vom Hotel Retro !!!

Surly and unhelpful receptionist on arrival, cramped room for 2 people with limited storing/hanging space. Bedside lamps unsafe and could not be used. Decor uninspiring. No hotel information re breakfast or other services. Will not book this hotel again. Extremely disappointing but didnt let it affect our successful visit to the beautiful sights of Bruges, Ghent and Brussels.

Al llegar nos mandaron a otro sitio que no era el hotel contratado, la habitación no se correspondía con las fotos de la reserva. Al decirlo en recepción, el personal se mostró desagradable, reaceo a ayudar y nos toreó todo lo que pudo, sentí que se reía de mí. Pidiéndonos más dinero por cambiarnos de habitación, pensaba que estaba de broma, reconocía el recepcionista el fallo del hotel pero su error lo tenía que pagar yo,fue algo de locos. Al final nos quedamos en la habitación que no se correspondía con las fotos de la reserva por no aceptar su abuso.

When I arrived at the hotel I was taken round the back to the “other building” which I soon realised is still very much being renovated as there were building materials everywhere. The room itself was nice enough though. There was nobody on reception is this building, and I think I was the only person in the entire building which made me feel rather uneasy. To top it off, I woke up at around midnight to the sound of doors being opened and closed along the corridor getting progressively closer to my room, and then my door was opened. It turned out to be a member of staff who was replacing towels and apparently “didn’t think anyone was on the system that night” so he just wandered into the room thinking it was empty. He then made me get up to ask for my name so he could check the system for the booking! Bearing in mind I was shown to this room by the reception staff on arrival so it was definitely where I was supposed to be staying. Anyway, safe to say I did not sleep much after that as the adrenaline of thinking someone was breaking into my room in the middle of the night left me rather awake. Also the streets around the hotel are super noisy at night, and the rubbish collection truck that came around at 5.30am was incredible noisy. So all in all I probably got around 3 hours sleep that night.

Check in very slow. Hotel said they would arrange taxi to airport to pick us up at 04.00. Waited for 15 minutes with no sign of taxi so went into street and flagged one down. Room clean and comfortable bed but very noisy from other rooms late at night into the early hours. Would not stay here again.

At check in, receptionist (Kaan) was so kind and helpful. Staff was fine during the stay. Room is clean, effective and warm. Location is very good near Botanique and 20m from Gillon tram station.It’s something minor but for me the bed could be a little better. Price is acceptable.

The property had a comfortable, good sized double bed, with nice memory foam pillows. The shower was excellent with good pressure and hot water which can be lacking at some cheaper hotels. There was a shop just outside the entrance which was convenient. The surrounding area was sketchy, and the walk from the north station was not family friendly. the windows were not remotely soundproof and there were trams passing all night which made for a rough nights sleep. Overall did what it needed to do, a place to sleep and shower but wouldn’t recommend to a friend.

The hotel is very modern, the bed was comfortable and the staff was very helpful and kind. Our room was nice but it has very limited space. You can take the bus or the tram in front of the hotel and there is a train station close. Our difficulty was that it was 20 minutes away from main attractions and there were almost no alternatives to eat nearby.

The reception staff were very helpful and informative. The room was really clean & comfortable. Would be good if tea & coffee making facilities were available in the rooms. Hotel located just 5 minutes walk from Kruidtuin Metro station.

Pas un 3 étoiles J'avais réservé une chambre catégorie Deluxe avec prix de Deluxe ce qui n'a absolument pas été le cas en arrivant à l'hôtel car je me suis retrouvée avec une chambre très petite presque coller a la porte d'entrée au 2 ème étages sans ascenseur petit escalier très étroit pas facile a monté avec une valise et donnant sur le palier avec une chambre juste en face ce qui n'est précisé nul part ni même sur le site de l'hôtel.portes qui claquent très fort et l'escalier fais beaucoup de bruit Dans la chambre une télévision mais pas de télécommande et même manuellement elle ne fonctionnait pas,une bouilloire avec 3 sachets de thé mais pas de tasse. Ma chambre donnait sur la route très bruyante car tramway bus et voiture très difficile de dormir. La personne a la réception suite a la réclamation de la catégorie de ma chambre m'offre le petit déjeuner qui est au prix de 15 euros le 1er matin a 9h30 il n'y avait déjà plus rien et pas de personnels pour débarrasser les tables qui étaient toutes encombrées.malheureusement pas suffisamment de personnels. Et c'est vraiment dommage car l'hôtel est bien situé en face du jardin botanique.a côté du métro et du tramway et des bus. C'est clair que si je reviens à Bruxelles je ne reviendrai pas à l'hôtel rétro.

This is a very decent, modern-designed 3* hotel that is most often great value for money (i.e. under 100 euros per night). If one takes bigger double room (20 m2) then it is very comfortable. Staff is very pleasant and efficient - gave me free bottles of water after clubbing. Did not try their 15 euros breakfast. The only issue could be location that is not in the ideal neighborhood. But both metro and tram station (and bus 272 for airport) are just few metres away so you can easily spend your evenings in nicer areas. Otherwise, there is a very nice bar of nhow hotel across the road and great late night Le Snack Botanique around the corner....Several chain markets (Carrefour, Delhaize) are only couple of minutes walk.

The bathroom is OK but I gave the following remark several times after previous stays. There is no space to put necessary cosmetics on the sink. A small shelf under the mirror for shaving utensils, toothpaste and a toothbrush is simply missing. Another item which ois missing : a small kettle for tea/coffee or at least a bottle of mineral water when entering the room late in the evening.

Zeer fijn hotel. Maar de TV werkte niet en het was een luide buurt maar ik vond het een goeie wandelbuurt. Ik was er met mijn papa en het ontbijt was lekker het bed lag super super goed.

I'm going to start with the negatives so I can leave in a positive note - My room had to be changed because the air-conditioning didn't work. The reception asked "are you actually hot" I guess hoping I'd leave it. The room was not soundproofed at all. First off, you have to slam doors to be able to shut them. (Sorry other guests) And there was a party in the room next to me. I felt like I was there too. My friends also had to change rooms because it was not cleaned after previous guests. And we had arrived around 4, way past check in time. The snack machine was almost empty. There are no amenities in the rooms except 1 soap dispenser outside of the shower for hand wash, body wash and shampoo all in one. But you have to get out of the shower to reach it. Also, no hooks in the bathroom to hang towels and the radiator was actually in the shower. If it was on and hot, you could burn yourself. When I asked reception why so much was not correct for us, he said "we were very busy on the weekend." I guess week guests aren't important? The rooms and shared spaces all looked really tired. The area is pretty rough so I don't recommend walking from Nord Station to the hotel, especially with children given the sights they may see of adults only activities. On the plus side Bed was comfortable Bathroom was clean The hotel over the road has a great lounge / bar / restaurant we hung out in when we needed that kind of space. TBH we probably should have stayed there
