I was pretty happy with Yellow Diamond. Parking was ample and easy to get in and out. The room was very clean. It is an older motel, so i did not expect ‘spa-like’ amenities, but it was comfortable, easier on the budget, and most of all, clean. I had some issues with the noise of the window AC turning on and off every few minutes at night (again, it’s an older motel). I did not keep the AC on real cold - in fact, I tried to keep it around 76. But the AC kept turning on and off, and i had to turn it down even colder to keep it from cycling on and off). It was rather noisy, but it IS next to one’s bed, afterall. I could have used an extra blanket in the room as sleeping under a sheet and a very thin quilt was a bit ‘no’ for me. I like to ‘snuggle’ under some thickness. The pillows were clean and had no odor, but, they could use a bit more ‘fluff’ than they had. The mattress was okay - it ‘mounds’ in the middle, but it was soft enough. There was, what I believe, a ‘caretaker’s’ tiny home several steps separate from the hotel itself and across from the rooms. At 6AM with their music blasting, it sounded like the air conditioner was sending me wake-up call to country music. It was very loud for so early in the AM. Yikes. Good thing i like country music? The front desk person (young man) was the best: friendly, informative, smiling. He seemed to like his job. He was a nice welcome to Murphreesboro after a long drive. All in all, a solid 4-4.5 star motel. I’d stay here again.
