Overall, my stay was pleasant at the hotel - the staff was coopertive when I misplaced my room key, they simply gave me another key. The property, inside, was clean, and looked like it was well maintained; however the pool was closed due to "maintance", and the beginning of mold was visible on my shower curtain. Other than that, my stay was very good. The night manager even had the coffee and breakfast available for me when I left at 3 a.m. for home.

Clean rooms friendly staff hallway and staircase could use vacuum cleaning. The parking lot and driveway to hotel need lots of work.

Hard beds and the pool was not open. Everything else was good.

First room had a fridge second room didn’t. The beds were a bit better and we were exhausted. Went to take a shower and there was copious amounts of mold on the shower curtain and the was hair in the shower that did not belong to us. The pool was completely broken which was disappointing. Breakfast consisted of a coffee cake, toast, or cereal. Staff was friendly and we felt safe so no complaints there. Would’nt recommend.

It was hard to find and to get to. No handicapped parking. The shower did not work, cooling system made noises, bed frames were sheet metal so made a terrible noise when you moved. Construction on the road and at the motel. Should have been disclosed.

Was nice we would of loved using the pool but it was down other than that very good and convenient.

This hotel seems to be in process of upgrading but it is a 2 star at best. There was a hole in the bathroom ceiling. The room was very dark. It did not feel clean. The front entrance was under construction and not welcoming. There was no sign on the road to indicate the entrance to the hotel.

This hotel is in the middle of major renovation, and in summer 2024 the entire area around this interstate exit is under development, so there is a lot of that traffic and noise. The front walkway was getting all new concrete done. The room was totally cleaned and bedding as expected, though the bathtub needed some minor repairs. I think Southern Illinois is wonderful, I left this particular reservation early because I didn't feel safe with some of the activity I encountered nearby.

Door to room didn't lock unless we slammed it. TV kept cutting out. Mattresses not comfortable. Pool not open. Furniture was old. Outside not presentable.

Sheets felt clean. AC was cold. Nice lady at check-in. But hotel looks and smells terrible! Smells like an ash tray even though no-smoking signs are everywhere. Find somewhere nicer if you can afford it.

Just plain dirty, inside and out. Bathroom was filthy. Staff were pleasant. Will not stay again.

I understand the property is mid-renovation however our room looked like it hadn’t seen a vacuum in months. The dual-pane window was broken so all we saw was dingy window. Room smelled musty. A/C unit needs a recharge. Had to turn the temp down to 60 to get it to kick on. Toilet seat bolts were loose or missing so it was like a roller coaster using the toilet. The sign offering a discount on future visits for a positive review was a bit troubling! You should want honest reviews. As a traveler, I rely on those reviews and would be disappointed to arrive at a property this crappy with someone rating it top stars.

Convenient location. Not super clean. Grates on the heater/AC were really dirty. There was a spot of what looked like old blood on the sheets.

Filthy. Would never stay there again. Moved three times. Hair in the tubs, and just filthy bathrooms. The fridge in the first room had a sign that said "I work, I'm just ugly." Or something along those lines. The fridge in my final room had mold growing in the freezer section on the fridge. Had to ask for a blow dryer. Was given on that attaches to a wall, but not mounted. So it was ridiculous to try and use. Random holes in walls, from supposed renovations. The exterior locked door on side of building is broken. Stains on bedding. Continental breakfast was bread for toast, oatmeal and oatmeal cream pies. The employee was super helpful and truly did try to make it better.

The room smelled like an old barroom. Not enough water pressure to take a morning shower.

The room was comfortable at a reasonable price. The only issue was that the door lock recently had been replaced and did not work properly. We had difficulty opening the door several times and had to ask the front desk for assistance. The breakfast was lite but sufficient if you want something quickly in the morning.

It was okay. Took a good hour of waiting to get internet. (After calling front desk)

Bathroom floor was dirty. Loose tiles in bathroom floor. No refrigerator in the room. Everytime I have stayed there before there was a fridge in the room.

This is a budget hotel. It looks abandoned from the outside. Grass not cut, front of the building is missing an awning. Driveway is just above a gravel road. Parking lot isn't stripped. No elevators. Property is only 2 stories, but this maybe an issue for some people. AC on the 2nd floor wasn't working on the floor. The room AC didn't work in the first room. 2nd room the AC was better but took several hours to cool off the room. Floor tile in the bathroom was coming up. Walls need painting. Water in the sink was dirty at first, but after running for a couple of minutes, it cleared up. Good hot water in the shower. To call the breakfast a continental breakfast, was an insult. Two cereals, packaged danish. The room, outside the obvious maintenance items we clean. No signs of bugs. No smoke smells. The indoor pool looked clean, and the pool area looked well maintained. There isn't any other workout room. There is a McDonalds within walking distance, so you have other food options. There are a couple of local restaurant's as well with food food, and a short drive away. When you consider hotels in the area are $100 plus and this is less than $80, you should expect much. Bottom line, as a single traveler just needing a bed, it worked and saved me a lot of money. Traveling with young kids that you could turn loose in the pool, i think it would be okay.

Room was clean and in good condition. Bed was fine. The shower was worn although clean. There was no frig and no desk chair. The continental breakfast is limited although it worked for me. It is close to the highway and there is some road noise although it didn't impact my sleeping. Okay value for the money.

This is a nice little place right off of the interstate and close to some fast food joints. It’s nothing special, but it is clean and doesn’t suck. Much better than Motel 6 or Super 8, but probably in the same category. Nice helpful and friendly staff. Parking was easy to find, but spots across from the building had some puddles and mud. Would stay here again! Recommended for anyone looking for a quiet stay that doesn’t cost too much.

Thestaff was very nice. This hotel is in the middle of renovations so a little messy. Have the breakfast at the McDonald's next door.

The people at the front desk were really nice and professional and if there was anything I needed they was there and they did very well. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. They’re a reasonable price nice and clean.

Wonderful clerk at the desk who was very informative and friendly. I ended up staying 2 nights at this hotel. Great location to the bike trail which is right down the road. The picture of the hotel room does not look like the room just FYI. The only comment negative comment is that I stayed an extra night and never received additional towels, etc. No big deal and I should have asked at the desk when I returned later. The hotel's rate was one dollar cheaper than using hotels.com so I booked with them for the second night.

Ok place Breakfast weak Close to Tunnel hill bike trail

Average hotel for the price. I was looking forward to swimmimg, but the pool was closed for renovation. Free breakfast could have been better it only consisted of cereal, toast, and coffee. Staff was very nice and professional. I would stay again.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Room furnishings looked like they were leftover from the 70s. Bathroom needed more than the quick clean it likely usually gets. Breakfast was bare minimum, not worth bothering with.

Staff was courteous & friendly. Continental breakfast was good. Property was under some renovation and could use some interim maintenance such as replacing burned out light bulbs w/ consistent color. Preferably not harsh daylight color and appropriate wattage, light bright enough to work at a desk . A little dusting in the usual overlooked places would be a plus. Overall not bad. Better than many 2 star places.

The place was affordable and convenient and clean. Very minimalistic. Breakfast was not great. The staff was friendly and helpful. However, we had NO hot water in the shower. They did give me a small refund for our "troubles".

Pool was open but very cold , Breakfeast was only toast or oatmeal and stale cereal. The building was not at all dirty looking but the smell, went to store bought air freshener and got a spray bottle from desk
