I’ve been at this property for a couple of weeks after a tree fell on my home here in Columbus. I visited multiple other hotels in town before coming here and stay at a variety of hotels for work travel. After my experience, this place is hands down the best in this town. Staff is friendly and hospitable, facility is cleaned well and the pool is great. I may come back just to take a stay-cation,

Room wasn’t done even though the “Do not disturbe sign” was not placed outside the door at all. The phone in the room didn’t work at all so we had to walk from 4th floor to the front desk if we had any questions or we needed towels, etc. Also the carpet on my floor was very dirty, need to be steam-cleaned. The staff is very friend, hotel is conveniently located and the facility has ample free parking

I didn’t like anything, my reservation was for a King with sofa, when I checked in I was told only a wheelchair shower room was available. I discovered such a bathroom is a safety hazard for a 68 y/o walking person. The room as a whole I’m sure doesn’t meet Courtyard Marriot standards. Not of the ice machines worked. Ice could only received at the bar. Maintenance personnel woke me up when they checked fire alarms throughout the hotel. The desk clerk “Crawford” seemed to have chip on his shoulder when preforming his duties and his attire was disheveled. The clock in my room was set a hour ahead with no way to reset it. Carpeting in the hallway needed cleaning. The bed was really comfortable and housekeeping was friendly were the only plus’s.

The desk staff were great. The TV didn’t work ( couldn’t turn it on) in my room. The bed sheets on one bed looked grayish instead of crisp white. A friend who traveled with me found fake eyelashes stuck to the TV remote in her room. Her tissue box was not in a plastic case & the tissues looked faded, not white tissues. We heard another guest complaining about black sticky stuff on sheets in her room. I stayed in the Columbus Courtyard in April, 2022, & found it much cleaner looking & organized than on this April, 2025 stay. I was disappointed since I expected it to be like it was before.

Bathroom sink broken. Did not hold water long enough to wash hands and face. The bathtub is not clean. Cracked ceiling over the bathtub and shower. The things we liked: beds and linen comfortable, air cold, good water pressure, excellent toiletries, no noise from hallway Things that need improving: mildew smell in room, fridge was not working (appeared to have been leaking at some point), mold and mildew in shower, bathroom exhaust covered in heavy dust, air makes a loud noise. This is just not expected with the "Marriott" name.

There was black kinky hair in the handle of the refrigerator, as though someone combed there hair above it. I had to blow it out of the handle to pull the refrigerator open. The staff at the front desk were outgoing, quick, and nice. We ended up in a room where the A/C was not working. But the staff quickly allowed us to move to a different room. Overall, the hotel was clean, comfy, and in a good location.

The staff was great. The breakfast ladies were friendly and fabulous. The room was clean - the beds were very clean and comfortable. There was rust on the doorframe beside the bathroom from the moisture that looked very unappealing. The decor in the hotel was slightly outdated. Overall, I would definitely stay again. The rooms did not feel dirty, but the rust and decor issues being resolved would have improved my review.

Everything was great except they entered our room without letting me know! They left their tools in the bathroom and that is the only reason I knew that someone had been in there!! Didn’t request or know of a problem in the bathroom! Don’t appreciate someone entered without my permission or at least informing us of the their intentions!!

Our room was clean. We were pleased with the customer service of the two front desk staff. They handled each guest with great hospitality. I'm highly impressed. They were patient with us and made our stay pleasant with their great attitudes and service. I can't remember their names, but I want to say Jennifer and Troyshonda. Amazing job.

Darius was a huge help when my flight was missed and as I contacted him at the property to let him know there were no issues he made notes and the next day arriving was a breeze of check in. I would stay here again just for the fact of him working there and his customer service.

We had a really nice overnight stay at the Courtyard by Marriott in Columbus, MS while taking our son to start his first year at Mississippi State University. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the room was clean and comfortable. Everything felt well taken care of, which made for a relaxing stay. Would definitely stay here again.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the room was clean and comfortable. Everything felt well taken care of, which made for a relaxing stay. Would definitely stay here again.

The staff at the front desk were outgoing, quick, and nice. We ended up in a room where the A/C was not working. But the staff quickly allowed us to move to a different room. Overall, the hotel was clean, comfy, and in a good location.

We really love this property! The staff is always friendly and if a room is available we get to check in early. It’s extremely convenient to everything on the main road.

I had no issues with this property. I was able to get checked in with no issues, the room was nice clean and comfortable. There is a cracker barrel and a nice mexican restaurant within walking distance. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone

Great stay.. I had booked a king room, but received 2 queen instead... Which was ok considering they allowed us to check in around 1pm rather than the required 3pm. The room was nice and cool when we entered. Lobby offered fresh popped popcorn in the evening which my 10 yr old enjoyed. Location was good near several places to eat and shop. I felt safe in the area this hotel is located. The only negative I have for this hotel is housekeeping started knocking on doors around 930 am, yet check out is not until 11am. After a long hot evening of baseball, getting up early was not on our agenda.

My daughter and I traveled from New Orleans, LA to tour Mississippi State University as a possible college choice. We only stayed one night. Lauren was our front desk concierge (I hope I'm remembering her correct name, I was exhausted when we arrived); she was very courteous and helpful. Rooms were pretty quiet. My only suggestion is to possibly have a at least one place to get a hot meal past 10pm. But overall, good stay

Did not offer free breakfast or coffee, coffee pot in room had no basket, mini fridge wasnt cold so our take out ruined.

The staff was great. The breakfast ladies were friendly and fabulous. The room was clean - the beds were very clean and comfortable. There was rust on the doorframe beside the bathroom from the moisture that looked very unappealing. The decor in the hotel was slightly outdated. Overall, I would definitely stay again. The rooms did not feel dirty, but the rust and decor issues being resolved would have improved my review.

The property was clean and modern. I didn’t like that there was no complementary breakfast after the amount I paid for the room. But I do understand. Staff was friendly. I had a 3 hour delay in check in but I did understand.

I was extremely disappointed in my accommodations here. I had been traveling for the past couple of weeks had stayed in other Marriott brand hotels. This one was definitely subpar and didn't measure up to the Marriott standard I had previously experienced. The fabric on the chair was stained. The floor had nasty spills and smashed chewing gum on it. There was a great deal of mold in the shower (on the door hinges and all over the the soap holder). The faucet wobbled because it was not secured. The windows were extremely dirty. I had to call the front desk to request a hair dryer because the assigned one was not in the room. The desk, tables and other furniture was dirty and needed to be wiped down. It was all chipped/scratched.The bathroom door stuck on the floor when you tried to close it and was missing part of the wood. There was a patch of colored paint on the wall like it had been patched but never repainted. The whole establishment needs a renovation. On a positive note, the staff was friendly and accommodating. I appreciate the complimentary water and snacks.
