Room was clean ..new TV..furniture maybe a bit dated but in decent shape..there was an old mattress and some furniture by the outside stairs. Odd thing was no trash can in the room! Service was great though and friendly! Close to restaurants. Be aware its a 2 story building and there is no elevator!

The people who run this place seem very nice, but the property itself is the textbook definition of a "basic motel." You park right outside your room, which is good, but the room is spartan. No coffee in the room. No toiletries. And, in the case of my room, a light switch in the bathroom vanity area that had to be toggled just right to come on and a smoke alarm that began beeping every 45 seconds or so. Staff eventually (after two requests) came to the room and removed the battery. But it began beeping again the following morning.

This place was disgusting. The room had a peculiar odor and the bedding was stained. The tv was broken. There were no light bulbs in the lamps, leaving a single light for the whole room. The floor was sticky. The smoke detector had a plastic bag covering it. The room on either side was occupied by long term residents and we could hear both televisions thru the wall. My dog didn't even want to enter the room. I returned the keys and requested a refund, which i was given after asking multiple times. I later discovered that 10 minutes after I left, they charged me for the room again. I am now having to dispute the charge with my bank. I sucked it up and drove to Roanoke. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Last minute reservation. Room was very dirty. The person on the front desk was nice. The rooms are super old. Some People are living in this hotel full time, they guy was listening loud music until 11:30 and and his alarm went on 5 times at 6am. We could hear every step from other room.

The staff was very nice and helpful. The location was convenient. You could tell it was remodeled. It was about what you would expect for $90 nowadays. It definitely could have been cleaner. You could tell it was not cleaned between people and not in a long time.

I’ve stayed here twice renting 3 rooms each time. Last year 2024 no ac in the one room. This year spring 2025 two rooms no hot water. And check in was very confusing this time. Needs some major TLC. Are next trip we’ve already found another place for are stay.

The room I reseerved was a king bed, I was given a key to a full bed room. When I let the service desk guy know he tried to convince me that it was a king bed. The dead bolt couldn't lock and I refused to stay in a room where I couldn't lock the door. He said it would be safe because I had the only key and setting the swing gaurd would secure it. He also said that that was how dead bolts worked, that you could open them from the inside without turning the dead bolt to unlock. He moved me to a king room and went to get a key programmed for me, then returned saying the room had been booked that morning and they would be checking in later yhat afternoon. Three rooms after that with two more dead bolts that wouldn't lock I was given a queen room that would actually lock. No apology was given for not having the room I actually booked.

Just o.k. Bugs on floor in bathroom; on wall over window; blind was broken; freezer in frig need defrosted badly; no coffee for maker; water glass was flimsey paper thin plastic; walls paper thin hearing everything from person next room; toilet too low to floor making it hard for person with mobility problems to get up. Up front person was very nice. Would I stay there again??

Lake Inn is located very conveniently in Moneta. The staff were very friendly and helpful, our room was clean and as described. The lobby was very welcoming with snacks and coffee for travelers. We'll definitely stay here again when visiting the area.

No coffee in the lobby, outside of the motel was a mess. Nighttime manager was very pleasant. Someone tried to come in the door around 9 am without knocking. I told the morning manager and he said it was probably the cleaning crew. Not cool.

The employee at the front desk was very nice and hospitable . Its close to the lake and good restaurants . So for the price it was a bit unkept as expected just could use a bit more fixing up and cleaning . Other than that cheap motel close to great fishing .

This place is a great stay and very affordable. Clean basic rooms, but the staff was so nice. Its close to the lake and right down the road from groceries and fast food. Walking in the front door you see a big classic stair case.

the staff is extremely welcoming, if you need anything you only have to ask, they are happy to accommodate. the property is a handful of minutes from the lake and is located right next to anything convenient you may need.

Hotel was adequate but no breakfast and minimally staffed. Rooms were OK but somewhat run down. No cups or tissues in room. Faucet for the sink area was very loose. It took about 5 minutes for the hot water to reach the shower/sink faucets. But the room was pretty quiet overall.

Hotel was adequate but no breakfast and minimally staffed. Rooms were OK but somewhat run down. No cups or tissues in room. Faucet for the sink area was very loose. It took about 5 minutes for the hot water to reach the shower/sink faucets. But the room was pretty quiet overall.

The property was clean even in the corners. Nice fridge and microwave. The only issue was bed was way too firm. Had good coffee in the morning. It was good experience.

My 2 kids and I stayed here for 2 nights towards the end of June because we were hitting a concert at The Coves a few miles away. We felt very welcome and protected. It's an older motel with remodeled rooms. They had free coffee and snacks each morning in the lobby. We were provided with plenty towels and even some fancy lavender hand soap for the bathroom. The guys running the Inn were super nice! If we ever come back to SML, this is where we will stay! If you're looking for a cheap rate, this is the place! Thank you to Lake Inn for making our little vacay so special ✌️💖🌞

Vanity light didn’t work. Heat lamp bulb missing in bathroom. Refrigerator unplugged - had to move furniture to plug it in. Coffee maker but no coffee or cups in room. Two coffee makers in lobby, but again no coffee.

Lake Inn is located very conveniently in Moneta. The staff were very friendly and helpful, our room was clean and as described. The lobby was very welcoming with snacks and coffee for travelers. We'll definitely stay here again when visiting the area.

The people who run this place seem very nice, but the property itself is the textbook definition of a "basic motel." You park right outside your room, which is good, but the room is spartan. No coffee in the room. No toiletries. And, in the case of my room, a light switch in the bathroom vanity area that had to be toggled just right to come on and a smoke alarm that began beeping every 45 seconds or so. Staff eventually (after two requests) came to the room and removed the battery. But it began beeping again the following morning.

No coffee in the lobby, outside of the motel was a mess. Nighttime manager was very pleasant. Someone tried to come in the door around 9 am without knocking. I told the morning manager and he said it was probably the cleaning crew. Not cool.

False advertising. Site says there is a sandy white beach. The motel is is the middle of town, no beach or lake in site. Hot water would come and go. On out checkout morning, we could not shower due to no hot water. When I notified the front desk, the housekeeper and desk person argued with me and basically called me a liar. The mattress was covered with a flat sheet, not fitted nor big enough to tuck in, thus exposing us to an old, dirty mattress. There was used cups in the freezer. The floor looked as though it hadn't been cleaned in a while. I guess the old saying "you get what you pay for" is true. You'd think that at $99 a night, the place would at least be clean.

The room served its purpose one night stay and close to restaurant and shopping. Went to concert at vineyard and it was just a short drive down the road. I would stay here again for a one night stay in the future. The housekeeping could do better with the rooms, notice dusting had not been done...Bathroom was ok and the sheets appeared to be clean. My main concern was seeing bugs and I seen no e during my stay that would have been a deal breaker for me.

The air conditioning worked well, as did the refrigerator and freezer. The shower was another story: I sometimes had to wait for 10 minutes for hot water. And the TV was the only real amenity other than the refrigerator and freezer. The staff was very helpful and the stay was comfortable and quiet.
