I did like the photos I saw on the web it had a pool as well , but when I arrived, at this location it did not look like the photos .the photos were showing more modern hotel with a pool. there is no pool at this location,Not a lot of furniture in the lobby for guests to sit as they arrive.This is more like a motel not like a hotel.

An adequate property for an overnight stay. It is somewhat isolated, sharing an area with a neighboring RV dealer at the end of a shared road off a highway. A very secure area as described by the gentleman who checked us in. Room was clean, bed comfortable and everything worked as it should. Unfortunately, during our one night stay, the Wi-Fi was down. No breakfast is offered. Although the property is described as being at Defuniak Springs FL, the town proper is several miles to the east. Parking is ample and basically "by the door."

The room was filthy. The towels were not ready when I checked in and brought later. They were dingy, mix matched and looked like rags. The bath had bugs crawling in it and long strands of dark hair on the shower walls. The bed sheets had not been changed and were soiled and dirty. I will never stay at a Red Roof again.

They have more roaches than guests! Filthy! Towels were dirty. There was i will assume a smudge of human feces on the wall by the toilet. There was blood on the tile in the shower and not just a little. Check out was at 11:00 and the non cleaning cleaning lady was beating on the door at 8:47am. I slep with my shoe in self defense of any further bug issues. I finally fell asleep at about 4:30am. Only atopped because of being on the road coming from Texas and oncoming weather conditions. I was dreaming i guess when i checked out and expressed the issues and didnt even get as much as an apology from the 2 gentlemen at the counter. Expedia should have someone that travel around and makes sure that they are not advertizing waterfront property in Arizona! NEVER AGAIN!

I found some dead roaches in the corners and roaches and hair in the shower, The coffee maker and hair dryer had dirt and dust all over them. Broken toilet seat and no cover on the exhaust fan. Then about 2 hours after check-in the TV and Internet went completely out and the air conditioner froze up so my room stayed warm all night long

Room Walls dusty, lamps rusted, room chair is bad, tv remote not working to switch channels, wifi not working in room or property, bedsheets stained, no 24/7 reception, besides property there is a TV store and no boundary wall, easy access to property. Checked previous evening if there will be someone at reception to check out art 5am and the person at recesaid yes. Next morning while check out no one available, reception door was easy to get it unlocked, called the number to get to a person., no answer, just had to leave the keycard and leave a note saying room checkout. Called back after 3hrs and spoke to them about checkout. Overall not good experience.

I had an enjoyable stay. The room was very clean, and housekeeping came everyday. The room is all hardwood, minus the bathroom. Linens are fairly new and comfortable. The shower was hot and the water pressure was amazing. The only issue I had with the room was the show er and sink faucet had a slight drip to them. It was not a loud drip, but noticeable. The sink did not drain very fast either. Overall, I would stay here again for the price I paid for the room. It is a good value

Was listed as Defuniak Springs, it was about 20 miles from there. Family members were in Defuniak for a funeral and wanted to be in close proximenty to others. Hotel had no WIFi, ice machine not working, A/C not working properly, linens not clean (hairs on pillow). bugs in room.

Checked in only to see the WiFi wasn't working. Went to my room and half the light bulbs were either missing or burned out. Went to front desk and they found two and handed them to me to install. Found smoke detector in a drawer instead of it being installed. Security lock on door was broken.

When we arrived to check in, the front desk area was deserted, except for a young boy who told us that his mom, who happened to be the on duty front desk clerk, was gone “because she had to go get something.” An entire hotel left unattended. Wow. We went to dinner and came back an hour later, and she finally returned. It took her forever to check us in because “her system was down.” A total fiasco of a check in.

Ronnie at the front desk was amazing. He had a bit of a troublesome customer before I checked in, but he was super nice and friendly with me. Because of him, I would definitely choose this motel next time in the area. Also, the room was nice and clean. It is located a bit isolated but we felt very safe at the motel.

I booked a room 2 weeks in advance and got there at 11 at night with kids that had been on the road all day just to be told they overbooked the hotel and since I was the last to check in my reservation got canceled without notifying me!

It was a little strange how the hotel is completely hidden from all passing roads and the freeway by trees, but that is actually a plus. It's far enough away from the spring break trash at Pensacola to have a quiet isolated peaceful feeling.

Great budget motel. Clean, nice appointments for the price, helpful staff. BUT, this motel is about 14 miles west of De Funiak springs, at the last exit before De Funiak Springs. Be sure you map it out first.

We booked this property thinking it was in DeFuniak Springs. It is actually about 12 miles west of town. The only places to eat are either Waffle House or McDonald's. The young lady who checked me in gave me the name of a BBQ place about 5 miles away. Great food, reasonably priced. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable.c. David

This motel is the ghetto from hell. Filthy room with stains on the floor, burn holes in the sheets and bedspread, roaches, barking dog, holes in the walls and ceiling. Zero amenities either here or nearby. Says coffee available in lobby, such as it was with powdered creamer and lukewarm temperature. Owners and operator obviously don't care about the customers' experience. Expedia really needs to inspect these places prior to offering them on their website.. Not to mention it is nowhere near DeFuniak Springs.

It was clean but tub dripped endlessly. Only 2 bath towels and they were skimpy. Thin walls. Squeaky bed. It was cheap and we got a cheap experience. There were no restaurants and no delivery and after driving for 8 hours i did not want to drive another half hour to find fast food.

We showed up at 11 o’clock and the owner came down from his room and made it seem like a big deal that he was going to stay awake until I had gotten there. There was a clipboard that said lobby closed. The lock on the door was busted off, and all of the bedding was severely stained.

The room appeared clean but had a very musty smell. The mini fridge didn't work but the room ac was super cold which was really nice. I did not address the frig as i was just there to sleep and have a place to leave my things while i did what i need ro do while in town. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is pet friendly which is was great as I had my dog with me. There was no extra charge for her. They do charge $15 per night for a second pet per the sign in the office. While its no 5 star hotel it was worth the low rate and i would stay here again.

The night attendant was great. But when I was checking in on July 18th the manger on duty wasnt at the desk I called the front desk twice when he did come and then gave me one room when I paided for two now the night attendant did check me in for my other room no problem. Also there was two rats on the frist floor new the trash can and near the steps and elevator...

We had three rooms booked for 1 night. Literally each room had roaches everywhere. I told the gentlemen at the front and he switched one of our rooms (to a room that he manually had to open since a key would not open it), and this room also had roaches everywhere. It was too late to book anywhere else so we had to stay. Blood stains on the sheets. Absolutely filthy blankets in every room. Hard to believe this place isn’t condemned. I never leave reviews but had to. Avoid this place at all costs.
