This hotel with a restaurant inside, is the first one, in our years of travel around the world, without staff or at least a receptionist, until 4 p.m. daily. Fortunately, we arrived after this hour. We were badly surprised when we found out that the restaurant would not open for breakfast or lunch. The receptionist was helpful to let us know that we could order in the evening some "take out and go" to eat at breakfast, in our room. No list of other restaurants in the area was provided. The parking lot across the street is not enough big to find a free spot at any time, you should park on the street if you are lucky to find a spot there or give the key of your car to the valet who knows some other places around the hotel. Our room was on the 2nd floor and the receptionist helped us to carry the luggage as the hotel does not have an elevator. The room had the microwave on a very small table under the TV set and one unnecessary adaptor/transformer left on the floor. We had to turn off the super noisy A/C unit installed under one of the windows to be able to sleep during the night. The advantage of this hotel was just the proximity to Boston Logan Airport.

It is close to airport but about 20-30min drive from downtown . The parking was easy, free and right next to hotel. The following amenities were not available but listed on the Orbitz property description: no WiFi connection or access listed in the room or check in papers, no breakfast was available. Overall, it was a good stay.

Live in maine and I travel to the UK few times a year to see family. Usually stay much closer to Logan, but everything was booked or very expensive Over all good decision. My room was clean. Staff were nice and friendly. Had dinner with a friend and the food was good and not expensive. Area is nice had a nice walk around this morning Although the hotel is a little dated and could do with a bit of tlc it was nice and clean My only negative comment would be the hotel amenities list on here are definitely not accurate. Parking was 20 feet fr9m the front door. Of course, it was November! The hotel staff is wonderful. Two staffers sat on the lobby couch in the morning and provided local knowledge and tips on getting into Boston without using my car. The restaurant food is top notch. Seems like the whole town comes to dinner each night.

The neighborhood and beach are beautiful and very quiet and peaceful surroundings. However, the hotel service is very limited. It is more of a restaurant than a hotel. Parking was easy.

This is a really cute hotel in outskirts of Boston. Getting there from out of state is a task. Traffic is horrendous. Parking at the hotel was really good until the night before our exit. We had to request help from the valet. The parking area is close enough, but was being pressure washed the 2nd day we were there, they got mud all over my freshly washed car, we were headed to a wedding. The room was surface clean, but could use a once a month of dusting and cleaning the blinds. Our sink was clogged, and wouldn’t go down easily. There’s construction on the 3rd floor, it was noisy at 8am. I understand progress, but let me as a consumer choose if I want to be up on my day off at 8. There were only 2 light bulbs in the bathroom vanity, easy fus fix. I read that in another person’s review- assumed that would have been addressed. Maybe we were in different rooms. No wash cloths the first day, and no one in sight until the restaurant opens. We had a nice dinner in the hotel restaurant. The clam chowder was really delicious and our server was nice. The area is really nice and you can walk the paved path along the ocean. If you appreciate the ocean you can find some nice shells along the rocky beach. The ocean smell In Massachusetts is different than that of the south. Much stronger. Overall, our stay went well, the hotel was pretty, and not near Logan’s immediate congestion once you get there. It’s about an hour and ten minutes from Kittery, Maine. It was a beautiful drive

Great stay overall. Room was nice, but could use a microwave! Also no elevator, but we were aware of this in advance, but still presented a challenge when traveling with the family and a decent amount of luggage to bring in. Love the restaurant, food was delicious, great craft brews to choose from, and the staff was great. However parking was very limited in the evenings due the restaurant. Even with the a parking pass, the facility used its small parking lot for valet parking for guests coming to eat at the restaurant, so keep this in mind if you plan on going out in the evening, you will very likely have to park a block or two away and walk back to the hotel.

We only stayed one night. The room was cold and as there are no staff after a certain time, we were unable to ask about heating. The hotel seemed very nice and a longer stay would have been nice. Beware there is no lift to the rooms upstairs.

We really liked the historical building and the interior and look of the inside. Great food! Nice view of the ocean and neighborhood. Comfortable bed and clean sheets, but pillows are a little different than used to. Rooms need to be vacuumed a little bit better, found dead bugs in the closet. A/C unit had black mold in it and we were concerned about turning it on, so we had difficulty sleeping because the room got a little warm and humid due to the ocean breeze. Also did not care for the main hotel entry going straight into the restaurant where people are dining and having to carry in luggage, there is no elevator for room access. Pretty cool spot though.

My family and I had a lovely one night stay here. We stayed on the 3rd floor and it was pretty quiet the entire time. The room smelled great and was very clean. We had a nice view of the ocean too. The bed was very comfortable for both my husband and I. Our daughter slept on the bed from the sofa and felt comfortable also. Overall, a great place to stay and would like to come back someday.

It is an excellent restoration of a very old building. It was hard to carry suitcases up the steep stairs and the hours the desk was open is very constricted. The room was excellent and cleanliness was super.With the restaurant on main floor it was very quiet in our room as we had to go to sleep early due to early AM departure.

We would not have booked this property had we known that this floor was under re-model. The third floor was a construction zone. The room was in poor condition, stained carpet, broken window shades. A used toothbrush left in the cabinet by a previous guest.

The room was OK, the bed was comfortable, but very high up. There was just one regular chair in the room, no desk. There were no luggage racks, so suitcase on the floor. No dressers to put clothes in. The bathroom was updated and nice. The hotel has a very nice restaurant and bar connected to it. There is no airport shuttle.

The first night we stayed there we had a great room on the corner that was nicely decorated and had a view of the water. When we came back a few days later we had a different room and it was not so nice. The bed was too soft. The curtains were falling off the rod and it was not decorated very nice. The first night we stayed there we had a great room on the corner that was nicely decorated and had a view of the water. When we came back a few days later we had a different room and it was not so nice. The bed was too soft. The curtains were falling off the rod and it was not decorated very nice. I thought it was a really nice room and location was great. It was close to the ocean and the airport. I would stay again. The food at the restaurant was good as well. A warning on some things though. The night i was there, you could hear music until 10:30 PM and talking for a while afterwards. If you need complete quiet and go to bed early you might not like it.

My family and I had a lovely one night stay here. We stayed on the 3rd floor and it was pretty quiet the entire time. The room smelled great and was very clean. We had a nice view of the ocean too. The bed was very comfortable for both my husband and I. Our daughter slept on the bed from the sofa and felt comfortable also. Overall, a great place to stay and would like to come back someday.

This hotel with a restaurant inside, is the first one, in our years of travel around the world, without staff or at least a receptionist, until 4 p.m. daily. Fortunately, we arrived after this hour. We were badly surprised when we found out that the restaurant would not open for breakfast or lunch. The receptionist was helpful to let us know that we could order in the evening some "take out and go" to eat at breakfast, in our room. No list of other restaurants in the area was provided. The parking lot across the street is not enough big to find a free spot at any time, you should park on the street if you are lucky to find a spot there or give the key of your car to the valet who knows some other places around the hotel. Our room was on the 2nd floor and the receptionist helped us to carry the luggage as the hotel does not have an elevator. The room had the microwave on a very small table under the TV set and one unnecessary adaptor/transformer left on the floor. We had to turn off the super noisy A/C unit installed under one of the windows to be able to sleep during the night. The advantage of this hotel was just the proximity to Boston Logan Airport.

When we left, no one was at the hotel desk and there was no coffee .... no nothing in the lobby except some rolls delivered from a bakery. We let ourselves out and drove away never to return again.

Parking was 20 feet fr9m the front door. Of course, it was November! The hotel staff is wonderful. Two staffers sat on the lobby couch in the morning and provided local knowledge and tips on getting into Boston without using my car. The restaurant food is top notch. Seems like the whole town comes to dinner each night.

We only stayed one night. The room was cold and as there are no staff after a certain time, we were unable to ask about heating. The hotel seemed very nice and a longer stay would have been nice. Beware there is no lift to the rooms upstairs.

Located in a quiet little suburb of Boston this hotel has old world charm. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The room and view of the ocean was gorgeous. The beds were a dream and I slept better than any hotel mattress ever. There is limited dining options in Winthrop but the hotel itself has a restaurant and bar on the first floor. It was also located close to a lovely breakfast cafe. The bus line was easy to access and takes you right to the blue line. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

The hotel is a 1/2 block from the ocean and in a beautiful neighborhood. They have a small parking area that actually faces the ocean. Our room and bathroom looked recently updated. The bed was older, but not bad. The hotel restaurant was great, delicious food and reasonable prices. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were able to park in the small lot, but some people had to park on the street. It is a quiet neighborhood so probably not a big deal. We enjoyed our stay.

I stayed there one night to catch an early flight from Logan airport. Place is extremely convenient if you are looking to dine and have a beauriful room to sleep at the same place. It is15 min away from Logan Airport (hotel is located east of Boston, hence less traffic and practical if you want to access airport really early in the morning). Also hotel is located in a cozy area facing the ocean. So you can see water and planes reaching Logan which is pretty cool. As said, bar/reastaurant is at the ground floor- i liked it a lot, looking forward staying there again.

The front desk doesn’t open until 3pm and the hotel bar and restaurant doesn’t open until 4pm. It’s in a residential area with no restaurants around so it’s really inconvenient if you need to get breakfast or lunch somewhere. You have to Uber to somewhere which kind of defeats the purpose of staying in a place with a restaurant. Other guests and I were down In the lobby very frustrated that there was no way to get food.

Corporate hotels get old. This place is the antithesis to that. I literally had a small apartment with a view of the ocean! The first floor is a very popular local restaurant so food and drink were very accessible. You walk across the street and take stairs down to a walking path along the beach. It was 5-10 minutes from the airport and you don't have to deal with the tunnel or Rte. 1/1A. Will be back should I ever get stranded due to flights again!

Live in maine and I travel to the UK few times a year to see family. Usually stay much closer to Logan, but everything was booked or very expensive Over all good decision. My room was clean. Staff were nice and friendly. Had dinner with a friend and the food was good and not expensive. Area is nice had a nice walk around this morning Although the hotel is a little dated and could do with a bit of tlc it was nice and clean My only negative comment would be the hotel amenities list on here are definitely not accurate. Like they do not offer breakfast as it said or a shuttle to the airport, just check before

I loved the original tile floor in the lobby. It was beautiful! The woodwork throughout the downstairs area was stunning. As an appreciator of historical things, The Arms was a fantastic place! The food int he restaurant was excellent and every staff member we had contact with was very friendly and helpful.

When I went to check-in, there was no one at reception and the place was dark. There was a note on the front door that the restaurant was closed for a week and that there would be minimal facilities available. There was another couple there from Scotland who were left with the same problem..I rang the number and finally a man arrived to take me to a room on the second floor. No elevator but he did help me with my bags. The room was adequate but the airconditioner sounded like a plane taking off all night. There was nothing in the vending machine. I used Uber to order a meal as there are no restaurants nearby. I left early the next morning. Unfortunately I could not recommend this hotel as they had not let me know of their closure so I could have booked elsewhere. This is the first bad review I have ever made in many years of travelling with Hotels.com.

Winthrop When I booked this I thought what a charming place. And it is but things you need to know I wasn’t aware of. There is no elevator for a 3 story building. After a certain hour there is no one working at the front desk. In fact there is no phone # to call anyone either. There is no phone in your room either. Although the confirmation said the bed was queen it was tiny, squeaky, and very hard. The AC worked great and the restaurant was delish. Loved that they had 2 bottles of water in the room for us. Went to make coffee but there is no creamer. Couldn’t call anyone as no is there to request it. The room was clean and felt like I was visiting my great aunt’s house. There was only one small bedside lamp. Three lights in the bathroom. And there was suppose to be a hairdryer in the room but there wasn’t. But again no one to call. Leaving was very creepy. You’re exiting the restaurant and no one is there. They use codes for all doors which is a nice thing but if you forget the code who do you call? Staff was very nice. The only entrance to the hotel is by stairs. A young man sat at the top (a valet I think) and opened the door for anyone coming in but did not offer to help with our 3 bags up those entrance stairs.

Great place to stay. Nice restaurant and bar on the first floor. Rooms and the whole hotel was very clean. All of the staff was very helpful and so nice. It's very close to the airport, downtown Boston and not far for a drive up to Salem. I would definitely stay there again.
