The rooms at this hotel are terrible and in serious need of renovation. The actual hotel is good with a cafe, sports bar and gaming lounge all finished to a good, clean, tidy and comfortable standard. Unfortunately the rooms have not and the photos on Wotif are not an actual representation of what is provided. My advice would be that if you want to stay somewhere with onsite access to bar, cafe and gaming lounge and don't care what standard the accommodation rooms are then this is the place for you. However if you want a clean, tidy and comfortable room this is not the place.

Great location straight across the road from the beach, and with plenty of local cafes and restaurants within walking distance. Parking at the rear of hotel was often crowded and sometimes not available, even if you are staying in the accommodation... Should have a section reserved for hotel guests! Room was clean with adequate facilities, comfortable bed.

I was told that parking for guests was in the hotel carpark, but when we got there it was full. There is no actual designated parking for guests. We were lucky to find a 30 min park by the bottle shop and they let us stay there all night. We didn't get there til around 6pm and it was a Saturday night, so it was always going to be an issue I think. That also made check-in a little difficult as no one was at the Reception by then and staff were very busy serving diners. Once we were directed to the right person, it was fine

We realize it was old and they said they will be upgrading and refurbishing next year , but that was no excuse for the condition of the rooms, The exhaust fan in the shower and Toilet area was noisy and the cover was falling to bits ,the ceiling fan only worked on High speed ,could not see out the window it was filthy we had to lay across the bed to watch the tv as it was on the wall beside it,,But one exception the bed was very comfortable , Also the stairs up to the rooms were a health hazard for the Elderly as we are 81 and 80 years old So to our disappointment we had to forfeit 1 night ,because of the stairways . It was cheap but not cheep enough but at the time we booked is was the only place available at the time of need.

it is a great location and has great food on the property. Overall, it was a great experience. with the beachfront and bottle shop next door. On-site Parking is full of time in the daytime, and there is no designated parking for hotel customers.

It was a lovely stay and staff were friendly and prompt. The problem is there were very limited Disability Parking spaces and sometimes you couldn't get into parking area as there were trucks blocking the entrence. Not a very friendly Disability establishment. TOO many stairs and even getting to the rooms more stairs. Disability toilet was very unclean and I couldn't get the door unlocked from the inside. Other than being Disability unfriendly would have been a nice stay.

It was a lovely stay and staff were friendly and prompt. Excellent value, great location and very helpful staff. Sure, the place is ageing and that shows, but it’s clean and adequate. For the price I thought it was excellent and I’d happily stay again.

There is no getting around how old and dingy the room and hallways are. We had read they are renovating this year but there is no sign of that. That said, the rooms were clean enough and the beds were fine. It is cheap, and for us just looking for a place to sleep, in the area we needed to be, it was fine. We’d stay again, but only for a night, just to sleep. We wouldn’t stay if we were going to be spending any time in the rooms.

Tolle Lage direkt an der Esplanade. Es müssten allerdings noch mal ein paar Euro in die Electric investiert werden. Die Schalter sind Uralt und es sind zu wenige Steckdosen vorhanden.

The single bed was so lumpy, sagged and uncomfortable, that I eneded putting the mattress on the floor. You should not charge for a bed that is this bad. I have stayed at many ALH venues and this was by far the noisiest and most uncomfortable bed in SA!

The rooms are old and disgusting, they look very different to online photo. Currently seeking a full refund as we booked 4 nights. Staff need more attention to the customer than what is going on around them. bedroom is just that nothing else Air conditioner impedes bed space no heater and cannot stop cold air blowing into room through air conditioner was told i would be better in the sports bar than the restaurant to eat (i assume as i was sitting alone) unexpected prices in the restaurant that is a back-to-back from night before had same meal and drinks cost a lot more when asked why was told that is the cost was a lot less at previous place i stayed did not enjoy my stay at all

All the Staff from Chambermaids,Chefs,Waiters and Management were excellent They could not do enough for you always polite courteous and friendly But unfortunately the accommodation leaves much to be desired The rooms were adequate but the decor,flooring, paintwork shower requires massive refurbishment along with the rest of the building It is basically a 2 star hotel and should be mentioned in your description for people looking to book

Brilliant location, comfy beds. It was a great price for beachside accomodation in a gorgeous area of Adelaide, so its not perfect of course. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Great location straight across the road from the beach, and with plenty of local cafes and restaurants within walking distance. Parking at the rear of hotel was often crowded and sometimes not available, even if you are staying in the accommodation... Should have a section reserved for hotel guests! Room was clean with adequate facilities, comfortable bed.

Straight across the road from the beach. Not so busy. Convenient cafe's in immediate vicinity. Staff were friendly and courteous. Online check-in was easy.

Just the basics in our room but exactly what we needed. Fantastic price. Hot shower, great food, TV, fridge, kettle, awesome bed. And service was excellent!

Good for a short stay in Brighton. I stayed in two different rooms, the first was fine, the second was in a dreadful state although the team did a good job of getting me another room to stay in which was a lot better. Restaurant downstairs does good food, great location right on the beach front.

Our room was a bit dated but honestly it was great for the price (& we were told by the friendly staff that the hotel accommodation is being upgraded soon). The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower was hot. We also enjoyed our meal in the bistro.

Staff need more attention to the customer than what is going on around them. bedroom is just that nothing else Air conditioner impedes bed space no heater and cannot stop cold air blowing into room through air conditioner was told i would be better in the sports bar than the restaurant to eat (i assume as i was sitting alone) unexpected prices in the restaurant that is a back-to-back from night before had same meal and drinks cost a lot more when asked why was told that is the cost was a lot less at previous place i stayed did not enjoy my stay at all

it is a great location and has great food on the property. Overall, it was a great experience. with the beachfront and bottle shop next door. On-site Parking is full of time in the daytime, and there is no designated parking for hotel customers.

THE CAFE AREA WAS GOOD AND THE POSITION IS PERFECT CLISE TO THE BEACH THE ACCOMMODATION NOT VERY GOOD THE MANAGER TOLD ME THEY WILL DO RENOVATION AS FROM THE END OF OCTOBER THE STAFF WERE VERY HELPFUL

Room was clean except there was a decent amount of dust build up on the P trap under the sink. Room was a little out dated but no issues with that especially to the cheap price. shower pressure was nice. Beds were very comfortable. lots of cafes and a BWS close by. Would definitely stay again.
