This resort is situated in a lovely spot overlooking a lake. It lacked some of the charm of some older construction, but it was impeccably clean, attractive and well maintained. While we were staying just as one night guests, it is well set up to act as a wedding or event venue with everything you could possibly need easily available. I had a swim in the wonderful pool and and a quick dip in the hot tub. I walked all around outside and enjoyed the views and the landscaping and the birds. My husband and I also sat on their very nice outdoor furniture and it was quite peaceful. Our room was spacious and very quiet. The bathroom was lovely - very long and luxurious feeling. We had a little deck we could walk out on to watch the lake. The room also had a refrigerator and a coffee maker and lots of made in Michigan treats. Breakfast was quite nice with quiche, sausage, a large bowl of fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, breads and muffins (both gluten free and regular), coffee, juices, etc. Our dinner the evening before was quite good too. My husband ordered a steak, and when it was not prepared to his liking (too well done), they immediately and quickly replaced it with a nice pink piece without a bit of fuss. I was able to order a gluten free salad filled with nuts and fruit and boursin and lovely lettuce. It was a very pleasant experience. You won't regret a stay here. Give it a try!

The reason I got the room was because I wanted to relax in a jetted tub due to poor circulation… after being told by gun lake casino spa that they had no availability I found bay pointe inn. It was kinda high priced but wanted to relax and have the benefits of the whirlpool tub in my room. About 5 minutes in I heard what sounded to name like static electricity or some buzzing from the tub. I shut off the jets and got out. Went to the front desk around 6pm and informed them of my concern about an electrical buzzing coming from the tub. Her response was, “maintenance doesn’t come in until tomorrow. If you want I can have them look at it then.” Well I was to check out at 11am so the whole purpose of the stay was the tub and I couldn’t even use it. To spend almost $300 for a bed that was 35 minutes from my home was ridiculous. I wasn’t offered a credit for another visit… no credit for the chocolates or milk that were charged as my incidentals… nothing.

Beautiful place to stay. Only one night, however, I wished it was more! Comfy beds, very nice patio to sit and relax. One piece of advice, check to see if they are having a wedding or another event at the boathouse. I was there on a Sunday night and it was loud. Could not sleep, people walking by patio until 11 pm.
