A well preserved Georgian gentlemen 's house turned to a small boutique hotel. As history lover, I was most delighted to have this rare opportunity to stay for 2 nights. Could have stayed longer but no vacancies. Beautiful garden too. Parking in property is a plus. Self service continental breakfast provided too. Owner selling the hotel. Buyer may close it.

Stayed at Clydesdale manor for a long weekend. We were in a two bedroom apartment with kitchen, lounge and verandah. It was amazing. Highlight was watching fireworks and air show display from the back verandah. Breakfast downstairs was also wonderful. Overall an excellent stay.

It was peaceful, well run and unintrusive. We felt comfortable and utilised all the various guest conveniences. We cooked in the kitchen, drank tea in the gardens, played games in the guest lounge whilst sipping complimentary port. Our room was clean, spacious, warm and inviting with good quality linen. The accomodation in Sandy Bay, is well situated with many restaurants and shops within a very short walk.

Gorgeous property. Walking distance to Salamanca markets and the city. If you aren’t feeling energetic there are e scooters 100 metres down the road. Lovely breakfast, that is self service. I liked that we had access to the kitchen if we wanted to eat in.

Clydesdale Manor was beautiful in every way. The room, facilities, breakfast, position, outdoor area and staff were wonderful. Bed extremely comfortable and room was great and the whole house was delightful. Would recommend and stay again.

Wonderful 3 night stay at Clydesdale Manor! Our room, and the entire place, had lots of character, high ceilings, elegant furnishings, a lovely breakfast and beautiful gardens and grounds. Parking onsite. Staff were great and very responsive. Felt welcomed and at home from the minute we arrived even though we self checked in. The kitchen was available to use during the day. Walking distance to coffee shops, restaurants, grocery store and pharmacy. Waterfront area was further but walkable. We had a wonderful stay!

Loved the location and building. Room was spacious and modern. Nice continental breakfast and friendly staff. Cover was just pulled up on bed and no dusting during our stay. Garden and lawn well set up but dry.

We loved the apartment. King size bed in large separate room, good size living area with large balcony over looking the area including mountain and water views. Fully euopped kitchen. Only negative was the tv wasnt 'smart' so couldnt hook into our viewing options, which was only a problem on day one as this was earmarked as a relax day coming off night shift.

Stayed 3 nights at Clydesdale Manor at the end of a Tasmania road trip. It’s a beautiful building inside and out, with nice gardens and plenty of parking. It’s a couple of kilometres outside the centre of Hobart. it’s walkable in half an hour, which is fine if you’re going there for the day, but a bit inconvenient for dinner/drinks in the evening unless you don’t mind driving or taking taxis. Having said that, there are some excellent places to eat nearby. Our room was large and traditionally furnished. Not as much storage space as you’d expect, and the wardrobe was a bit rickety (it wasn’t attached to the drawer it sat on top of, and it would tumble forward when opening it). The room had a spa bath, which was excellent, but it took 40 minutes to fill. So you need to plan ahead if you want to use it. WiFi was pretty slow. Not always good enough for streaming. The complimentary breakfast each morning was simple but appreciated.

Really enjoyed my 2 night stay here. Huge room with traditional furnishings yet very modern Grohe bathroom finishings and smart TV. Bed was comfortable as well. Honestly, the breakfast was pretty pathetic but everything else was excellent for the price. Would definitely stay here again.

The room we stayed in was spacious and clean, and the bathroom was modern with a shower that worked well, although it did take a bit of time for the water to turn hot. The complimentary breakfast was excellent, offering quiches, toast and cereal. The location was excellent too, with restaurants just a short walk away.

This property is very quiet, clean, the staff are friendly and helpful, and has easy parking. The breakfast that is included is great. We have stayed here a couple of times now and will definitely return in the future.

Manor is nice, room is ok and comfortable enough, and no one is at hotel upon check-in which has issues of its own. Staff service was poor. Upon arriving for breakfast I was loudly accosted by staff member in front of all other guests that their was a problem with my booking and that the owner was repeatedly trying to contact me. This was weird as I called the number back the previous day and was told by a staff member that they weren’t sure why owner had called and she wasn’t sure why and told me not to worry about it. I told this to the person whom didn’t seem to mind airing this all to the entire room eating breakfast. It was rude to do, plus I was not even greeted by staff member, offered a a pot of coffee like all other breakfast guests had or told anything about breakfast options. Staff member was way more concerned with yelling at me about issue. I was quite embarrassed and made me feel so uncomfortable that I couldn’t eat and left to go back to my room feeling horrible. I contacted owner and sorted problem as their was a number wrong on my card I booked with. I told the Owner of what just occurred during breakfast and he said, he would have a chat with Staff but didn’t seem to really care too much. I have worked in hospitality industry for over 20 years and the experience put a bad taste in my mouth. There is a way to chat to a person if a problem occurs and not make them feel any less of a guest than the rest of the customers. Shame.

The place would be fine for a short night stop enroute to elsewhere. Nobody around on arrival, had a text telling me how to let myself in and find my key. No reception or cafe, only I staff met was one person on duty for breakfast time and cleaning rooms who was always very helpful and friendly but I hadn’t realised how self service it was, I’d expected a boutique hotel. I was using it as a home base whilst visiting elderly friend so needed somewhere relaxing and enjoyable to spend time between visits so having a dark room with outlook onto a water tank was not ideal. I had booked it assuming there would be water views but turned out to be surrounded by built up area and busy road and not walking distance to beach as I’d hoped
The place would be fine for a short night stop enroute to elsewhere. Nobody around on arrival, had a text telling me how to let myself in and find my key. No reception or cafe, only I staff met was one person on duty for breakfast time and cleaning rooms who was always very helpful and friendly but I hadn’t realised how self service it was, I’d expected a boutique hotel. Wonderful 3 night stay at Clydesdale Manor! Our room, and the entire place, had lots of character, high ceilings, elegant furnishings, a lovely breakfast and beautiful gardens and grounds. Parking onsite. Staff were great and very responsive. Felt welcomed and at home from the minute we arrived even though we self checked in. The kitchen was available to use during the day. Walking distance to coffee shops, restaurants, grocery store and pharmacy. Waterfront area was further but walkable. We had a wonderful stay!

Room was very nice and so was the continental breakfast. The driveway was steep and access on and off of Sandy Bay road was not for the faint-of-heart. Location was convenient for restaurants, Battery Point, Salamanca, and Franklin Wharf.

Stayed 3 nights at Clydesdale Manor at the end of a Tasmania road trip. It’s a beautiful building inside and out, with nice gardens and plenty of parking. It’s a couple of kilometres outside the centre of Hobart. it’s walkable in half an hour, which is fine if you’re going there for the day, but a bit inconvenient for dinner/drinks in the evening unless you don’t mind driving or taking taxis. Having said that, there are some excellent places to eat nearby. Our room was large and traditionally furnished. Not as much storage space as you’d expect, and the wardrobe was a bit rickety (it wasn’t attached to the drawer it sat on top of, and it would tumble forward when opening it). The room had a spa bath, which was excellent, but it took 40 minutes to fill. So you need to plan ahead if you want to use it. WiFi was pretty slow. Not always good enough for streaming. The complimentary breakfast each morning was simple but appreciated.

Beautiful old property. Help yourself breakfast which was generous Check in was easy and check out, also easy. Bit hard to find the property in the dark on a busy road, but once you’ve done it once, it was no problem. Walk to shops and restaurants, a bonus.

Loved it! Great walking distances to local dining options and into the CBD. Hop on hop off bus stop nearby. The rooms are lovely and the spa bath beautiful. Nice breakfast. Would highly recommend!

Picturesque and a nice place to stay. Handy to shops and places to eat. Walkable distance to Salamanca, and waterfront, which was handy. Port and chocolates were a lovely touch, and the continental breakfast was lovely - great sourdough bread! We would stay again 😊

Stunning accommodation. Our room was lovely. Clean, spacious with a very comfy bed. Self serve breakfast was a perfect way to start each day. Kitchen facilities are also available to make your own meals throughout the day.

Really enjoyed my 2 night stay here. Huge room with traditional furnishings yet very modern Grohe bathroom finishings and smart TV. Bed was comfortable as well. Honestly, the breakfast was pretty pathetic but everything else was excellent for the price. Would definitely stay here again.

The room we stayed in was spacious and clean, and the bathroom was modern with a shower that worked well, although it did take a bit of time for the water to turn hot. The complimentary breakfast was excellent, offering quiches, toast and cereal. The location was excellent too, with restaurants just a short walk away.

The location is convenient and the place is clean and well maintained. However, we booked the two bedroom suite (called Premium Apartment) and the setup was very inconvenient - there is no lock to the entire suite. Instead, after you open the door (no lock) to the suite, there are separate locks to two rooms. The main bedroom with kitchen and living area are to your right with a slam-shut lock door (automated lock once the door shuts). The second bedroom is to the left with a separate slam-shut lock door. It would be extremely inconvenient at night for the person staying in the second bedroom - I had to constantly keep the keys in my pocket at night for going to bathroom, as I would have to use the keys to unlock the entrance to the main living area for using the bathroom and then to unlock the door of the second bedroom in case I get locked out myself at night. Additionally, the TV only has antenna connection - no youtube or netflix or ability to connect with your phone to play media. Inside the suite, the head bolt lock of the door to the balcony nearly came off. You can book the single room/suite, that would be fine. The setup of the Premium Suite needs significant change - especially regarding the door locks.

This is a beautiful property and we hope to have the opportunity to stay again. The continental breakfast was plentiful and fresh, the kitchen being well stocked with a variety of tea, coffee, cereal, bread and toppings and juice. The accommodation was spacious and clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The off-street parking is extremely easy to access.
