Very unimpressed. Not 5 star at all. Food was tasteless. Only one chair for my balcony. Pool was fine except only 6 loungers and no shaded area. Little English spoken. Nil in my mini bar fridge. Gym ok but only one bench! For coffee and tea, sanka and Lipton. Quite simply, no way is this worth the money spent. Don't waste your money. I found harbour hotel nearby for $45 instead of $200 much more satisfactory and better, friendlier customer service.

Hotel is very good. Food was ok. Spa very good. The call for prayer was anoying and long but nothing the hotel can do about it. I don't see other religions imposing things like this to everyone in the city, should not be permitted in places where multiple religios are practiced. Smoke smell around the hotel, something was getting burned. Overall a good experience.

The nearby Mosque had an extremely loud and frequent prayer recording. We ate at the rooftop bar. Food was so-so and the wine was terribly expensive for not very good wines. The waiter spilled wine on our table and did not clean it up. Had to move to a different table.

■ロビー 海に面していて眺めがよく、風通しも良くて気持ちが良いです。 ■部屋 部屋は十分広くて綺麗でした。海と反対側にメイン通りがあるので昼間は少し交通音がしますが、夜や朝方は静かでゆっくりできます。通りに面して寺院があって、夕方と朝4時半頃に大音量でお経？が流れますがすぐに終わるので安心してください。 ■ジム 必要最低限の設備です。ウェイト中心の人はベンチ1台と22.5kgまでのダンベルしかないので物足りないかもしれません。早朝は使っている人があまりいないので集中して使えます。 ■レストラン 普通に美味しいです。値段はホテルの食事と考えたら納得できるくらいで、一品とドリンク頼んで2000円くらいからです。 ■ランドリーサービス 朝10時までに出せばその日中に受け取れます。Tシャツで400円くらいだったと思います。残念ながら近所のランドリーショップはなくなったようです。 ■スタッフ 皆さん英語が通じて優しくて真面目です。 ■周辺 正面入口を出て右手にいくとシーフード屋台が並んでいます。夕方から営業するので晩ごはんにおすすめといろんなドライバーに言われました。安くて美味しかったですが、ちょっと待ち時間が長いのと席によっては煙いです。野良猫が何匹か見れます。 シーフード屋台の道を挟んだ向かいに何軒かグロッサリーストアがあり食料、飲料、雑貨が買えます。滞在中なにか必要なものがある場合はここでだいたい揃います。 午前中からやっている飲食店は周りに少ないです。The Dockers Armsというレストランが7時からやっていたので朝食に何度か使いました。 すぐとなりに港があり、コモド島ツアー等はこの港から出発するのでツアーの行き帰りの送迎時間が短いです。

The location of this hotel is fantastic, overlooking the bustling harbour. The small roof top pool is a real plus. But this is not a 5 star hotel, it fell well short, only one tatty old bath towel, no hand towels; room small and dated. Charged us £29.60 for two glasses of read wine which were undrinkable, the bottle had been open for days and then ignored our complaints and would not change it, even when we left it undrinkable. We had a similar experience with breakfast £22.75 for two breakfasts, when the price on Expedia is £10 for two. I just felt ripped off. Divina one of the staff was very helpful with sorting out problems with our airline check in. So if you want a central location, book a sea view room and stay here, and pre book breakfast, but eat and drink outside the hotel if you don’t want to be ripped off.

It's a veru good option if you're staying in Labuan Bajo. Clean. Food was ok, not the best but still can find something to eat. Spa is good and therapists are great.

Pickup and transfer from airport to hotel was fast. All staff I've encoutered are truly friendly and smiling. They allowed me to check in at 12:30, without charging extra. Area around hotel is safe and very walkable. Breakfast was delicious and a plethora of choices for good. Room was exceptionally clean.

The cleanliness of the room and the deliciousness of the food were amazing. The best thing was the friendliness of the staff. Many of the staff had great hospitality, but FAISAI in particular had great hospitality.

The hotel is very clean and beautiful view of the harbor. It’s convenient walk to restaurants and shopping just next to it. I feel safe walking around the town. The staff are excellent people and very helpful.

Room above the Bar was crazy loud until last 10pm. Hotel staff were helpful in changing Rooms. But lucky that there were rooms available. Do like this place though….

Staff were terrific. Very helpful, knowledgeable and seemed truly interested in your stay. The room was large, lots of space to lay out items, bed was large and very comfortable. The balcony was great looking at the harbour and sunsets. The bathroom was well layout everything you needed and a nice rainfall shower. I didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel.

Booked the Seaview and was able to get one of the rooms farthest from the mosque so it was quite faint. However, with the seaview, you will bear the little skiffs that go out fishing and they are loooud! Not unbearable but be aware. That said, the hotel room, amenities and everything around the area is quite lovely. Walkable and the port for all the boat excursions is just a 3min walk away.

We loved our stay at Meruorah. This is by far the best option if you want to stay near the harbour. Very convenient before or after your boattrip to Komodo etc. You could even start your trip next to the hotel! As easy as that! Try to book the seaview rooms, those are stunning.. i tried rooms on both sides… for sure the ones with seaview were the best. I slept with the doors open and closed. Even though I am a light sleeper… did not hear noices from outside, wich keep me awake… at all. The other day I slept with the terrace doors open… that day, I only hear noices around 6 AM, for me personally, no big deal! About the room with a hillview, which was quiet near to the mosque… with the terrace doors completely shut… I did not hear the early morning prayers at all!! Conclussion: rooms are soundproof! Everything on walkable distance… many restaurants/eateries/fish market… you name it… Staff very friendly and willing to make your stay as comfy as pissible… Breakfast was goid, enough choices, both for western as local food! Once again view stunning and could not better!! Will book this hotel again, when in LBJ and can highly recommend it!

While the room and staff were very good. We were placed on level 5 which was below the pool and bar, which plays loud music all day and late into the evening which we could hear in our room. Note go for a sea view room as the Mountain View we had had the mosque just down the road and you can hear the morning sunrise prayers. (Which we did not mind as you are in a Muslim country). We also did not get the VIP services promised by Expedia

Key didn’t work for first three hours. Was not moved to a new room despite requests. No offer to upgrade for stay for the inconvenience. Pool and gym hours are frustrating. The Hill View is TERRIBLE. The call to prayer at 4am will wake you up.

Pickup and transfer from airport to hotel was fast. All staff I've encoutered are truly friendly and smiling. They allowed me to check in at 12:30, without charging extra. Area around hotel is safe and very walkable. Breakfast was delicious and a plethora of choices for good. Room was exceptionally clean.

Staff were terrific. Very helpful, knowledgeable and seemed truly interested in your stay. The room was large, lots of space to lay out items, bed was large and very comfortable. The balcony was great looking at the harbour and sunsets. The bathroom was well layout everything you needed and a nice rainfall shower. I didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel.

The nearby Mosque had an extremely loud and frequent prayer recording. We ate at the rooftop bar. Food was so-so and the wine was terribly expensive for not very good wines. The waiter spilled wine on our table and did not clean it up. Had to move to a different table.

The rooms at Meruorah Komodo Labuan Bajo are visually very nice, and the hotel even offers a complimentary 15-minute foot massage, which was a thoughtful touch. However, several issues made my stay disappointing. The “signature rooms” are located directly by a mosque, meaning you’ll be woken up around 4:30 a.m. daily. When I requested a quieter room, the manager, Ivan, accused me of being anti-Muslim—an appalling and unprofessional response. Expecting guests to pay more for a basic quiet room is unacceptable, and management needs serious training. Noise is an issue beyond the mosque: even the waterfront rooms are loud due to boat traffic. At the pool, there are only about 10 lounge chairs, so they’re gone quickly—leaving no chance to relax comfortably, even if you don’t mind sitting in the sun (with no shade provided). Breakfast is also handled poorly—you’re expected to book it at check-in without seeing it, or the price increases significantly, which feels very off-putting. Spa services were available, but massages were noticeably more expensive than at comparable hotels. But this is not a 5 star hotel, it fell well short, only one tatty old bath towel, no hand towels; room small and dated. Charged us £29.60 for two glasses of read wine which were undrinkable, the bottle had been open for days and then ignored our complaints and would not change it, even when we left it undrinkable. We had a similar experience with breakfast £22.75 for two breakfasts, when the price on Expedia is £10 for two. I just felt ripped off. Divina one of the staff was very helpful with sorting out problems with our airline check in. So if you want a central location, book a sea view room and stay here, and pre book breakfast, but eat and drink outside the hotel if you don’t want to be ripped off.

Overall I have had better services in 3 and 4 star hotels in Indonesia. Therefore the price you pay is much overrated comparing for what you get. Even for taking a towel to beach you must pay 50000 rupiah. I could understand if you pay a deposit and you lose the towel you must pay. No you must rent it. Also with check in something went wrong and I had to wait for 2 hours administration time. Without even offering a drink for waiting. I hope the new starting manager (who I personally spoke) can get it to 5 star. The view from the hotel is great, but for me it takes much more to get a 5 star treatment when you pay so much money, espescially in Indonesia. Next time we will take other hotel.

Very nice hotel, exceptional in Luan Bajo! Very very helpful and friendly staff. Clean rooms, and nice rooftop terrace. Reception has very nice staff who helps with whatever you need. I forgot something in the room and the staff was very helpful to find and bring back to me.

Great hotel for doing Komodo Island adventures, super convenient, was able to order a very early to-go breakfast box for our super early tour day on the islands. Breakfast buffet was massive and definitely worth it, with a lovely rooftop view. Rooms were nice. Easy walk to restaurants and convenience stores. Definitely recommend for anyone coming to LB to do the island tours!

I couldn’t make my mind up where to stay in Labuan Bajo, in the end I chose Meruorah due to its close proximity to town, I was so glad I did. The hotel was amazing, the pictures on Expedia didn’t do it justice. The rooms were large and modern with all the amenities you need. Breakfast was served on the six floor with a choice of indoor or outdoor seating overlooking the harbour. There was so much choice of food with cooking stations and cold food available. The hotel was within easy walking distance to the harbour although all tours offered pick up from the hotel. The only downside I found was the road noise and from the masjid just down the road, the hotel obviously realised this and left earplugs in the room, if I stay there again I would definitely pay the extra for a sea view room so as to be away from this noise. I would highly recommend staying here.

Excellent location and view. Room was fantastic. I only stayed 2 nights but this was very easy if you are planning quick, one day boat trip to Komodo islands. Dinner / barbecue was good. Booked the Seaview and was able to get one of the rooms farthest from the mosque so it was quite faint. However, with the seaview, you will bear the little skiffs that go out fishing and they are loooud! Not unbearable but be aware. That said, the hotel room, amenities and everything around the area is quite lovely. Walkable and the port for all the boat excursions is just a 3min walk away.

Friendly staff and very helpful to ensure stay in the hotel is enjoyable to all guests. Good selection choices for the buffet breakfast scenic view oversee the harbour. Had a room with seaview, spacious and clean, only the horn & engine noise from the boats/ships can be a little disturbing otherwise the stay is fantastic. Good job to all staff of Meruorah Komodo LB and will stay in this property again .

This hotel was amazing. The location is perfect if you're doing tours, want to go to the nightly fish market, or just want to wander around town. We often had our tour pick us up at the hotel in the morning and simply walked back in the evening because it was so close—and usually faster than driving. We loved sitting out on our balcony in the morning and evening, just watching all the activity in the harbor. I cannot say enough about the breakfast. We checked out over a week ago, stayed at three other hotels, came home to our own kitchen, and we are STILL lusting after it. There was so much to try, and all of it was delicious. And the coffee! They had regular drip coffee, which was what we mostly drank, and it was strong and delightful. You could also order cappuccinos, lattes, etc. if that was what you preferred. There was a fresh juice bar that changed each morning, a congee station, a hot sauce station, a "Western" breakfast station, an Indonesian station, a baked goods station, a gluten-free station, and more. We never ate lunch and usually had a light dinner because breakfast was so plentiful. This hotel was amazing. The location is perfect if you're doing tours, want to go to the nightly fish market, or just want to wander around town. We often had our tour pick us up at the hotel in the morning and simply walked back in the evening because it was so close—and usually faster than driving. We loved sitting out on our balcony in the morning and evening, just watching all the activity in the harbor. I cannot say enough about the breakfast. We checked out over a week ago, stayed at three other hotels, came home to our own kitchen, and we are STILL lusting after it. There was so much to try, and all of it was delicious. And the coffee! They had regular drip coffee, which was what we mostly drank, and it was strong and delightful. You could also order cappuccinos, lattes, etc. if that was what you preferred. There was a fresh juice bar that changed each morning, a congee station, a hot sauce station, a "Western" breakfast station, an Indonesian station, a baked goods station, a gluten-free station, and more. We never ate lunch and usually had a light dinner because breakfast was so plentiful.
