Impossible to sleep due to noise. Hotel rooms face the area that is used by the hotel for live music and other loud events. Soundproofing is very poor and when there's live music it's loud that you can't even speak to each other in your own hotel room! When there's no live music there's still loud TV, so it's really impossible to sleep at least until midnight due to the noise. On sunrise I was woken up by the sun shining directly into the room through the holes on the sides of the window blinds. So in total I got 6 hours of sleep. Cigarette smoke comes through the ventilation system, even though the room is non smoking you will still get the smell. No car park. Hotel directs all guests to the car park of the bottleshop next door, though of course bears no responsibility for the safety there. On the brighter side, the room was recently renovated and looked pretty good for the price.

Room was large, clean and renovated. We couldn’t hear any noise from the pub downstairs. Parking is in an open car park next to the pub. The bathroom door rollers need readjustment or replacement. All else was very good at a very reasonable price. I would happily stay there again.

We so loved the price, the comfortable room and beds, brand new bathroom. We were welcomed so beautifully, free drinks, 10% of food and it was yummy. But loud music til 11pm not warned. Great location

Opening the door to our room was a pleasant surprise, it was spacious, clean and modern. Bed was comfortable, had air conditioning and a huge bathroom We stayed 3 nights as part of a 2 week roadtrip and it was one of our favourites. Would love to return some day. Only negatives been the staff were a little unfriendly, albeit efficient. A smile wouldn't go astray. And we were uncomfortable leaving the car in a public carpark. Other than that, perfect.

Thanks for the 1 night stay on Monday. Checkin was easy and quick, after reading previous reviews I called to confirm the reservation before I left home. The rooms are all up a few flights of stairs so if you have mobility issues this hotel isn’t for you. The room itself was great. I did bring a few cleanliness issues and maintenance issues to the attention of staff via email today. The floor waste in the bathroom stunk, I covered it with a towel and thankfully the stench went away. The bed linen also had a big orange stain - maybe sauce - but I hadn’t seen it until I was going to bed after hours, so I couldn’t contact the staff to rectify. So I remade the bed in a way that I could avoid the mess. The room itself was bigger than I was expecting and the bathroom too!! The rain water shower head was luxurious. I noticed some glassware, mugs, spoons, kettle, iron, ironing board. But I was disappointed there weren’t any plates or a box of tissues. All in all though I would stay again!!

The room was clean , bed comfortable as well as pillows! Nice and quiet when band not playing, think my room was in a good position. Bathroom clean and room serviced daily with fresh towels. Did not eat at bistro , so perhaps that is something you may try .

On arrival it was difficult to find staff, no response to phone as directed at front desk to call. Room was smelly, bedside lamps didn’t work. No hand soap at basin nor hair dryer (listing didn’t specify to be fair) but very rare not to have one, but my fault for not checking. On checkout I couldn’t find anyone to hand in my room swipe card. Great location and clean and complimentary bottled water. Air conditioner worked great .

Unfortunately at the time when I arrived in the evening the room had not been serviced from the previous guest. Also the bed-lamps did not work. Otherwise good value. In the middle of Umina shopping centre with many convenient cafes etc, and a few minutes walk to a patrolled beach with great views.

Where is the information when booking online that there is a band playing in the hotel until 11pm?? Have stayed in a Nightcap motel previously, that was a motel separate to the hotel. Not in this case, the room is upstairs in the hotel, might have been ok if there was any soundproofing, not at this place. Am extremely angry that there was no prior warning & only found out upon check in. Definitely seeking a refund. Terrible.

On Friday nights they have a band that goes until midnight that you can hear quite loudly. The walls are also quite thin so if people are in the hallway you can hear them. There was a family who let their children play in hallway until early hours. Was quite expensive for what it was and to get minimal sleep didn’t make a good experience

The only problem was that the windows rattled. They are old wooden windows and at 3 o’clock in the morning after being woke up yet again from the rattling I had to wedge some cardboard into the frames to stop them from rattling. This is a major problem and obviously the people who own the place, don’t stay overnight there. I was in room 12.

Place is totally under-staffed, total greed by management. What staff that was there are expected to do endless different jobs at same time, as result you have to wait around all the time. Wait to check in, wait to get food order, wait to get a drink as staff busy doing other duties. Don't bother phoning the hotel because phone never answered (staff too busy). We left friends house keys in room, hotel didn't bother to contact us and tell us. Definitely would not stay here again.

Unfortunately at the time when I arrived in the evening the room had not been serviced from the previous guest. Also the bed-lamps did not work. Otherwise good value. In the middle of Umina shopping centre with many convenient cafes etc, and a few minutes walk to a patrolled beach with great views.

We so loved the price, the comfortable room and beds, brand new bathroom. We were welcomed so beautifully, free drinks, 10% of food and it was yummy. But loud music til 11pm not warned. Great location

Rooms were very clean and great value for money. The food at the pub needs plenty of work though. Chicken way overcooked.

From the moment we arrived, the staff were friendly and welcoming. Check-in was quick and easy, and our room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The location was even better than expected, with the beach much closer than we had realized. We had dinner at the pub and were impressed by the delicious food, generous portion sizes, friendly service, and great atmosphere. After dinner, we headed upstairs and found the beds incredibly comfortable, making for a great night's sleep. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and we would happily return.

Hotel staff all so friendly and sat evening band were excellent. Noise stopped at 11pm and slept so soundly! Will come again!

Room was excellent, quiet, clean and everything you needed was available in the room. The staff were very attentive and the online pre checkin was very helpful. The restaurant had a great range of food options and meal sizes very generous. Overall we enjoyed our overnight stay.
