Super 8 by Wyndham Picayune

Place was old and run down. In the bathroom the shower drained really slow and only 1 of the 3 switches worked. In the vanity sink area the electrical plug was not screwed into the electrical box and did not have a cover plate. The floor in the bed area has some soft spots in different places. The outside was old and run down. The one ice maker on the property didn’t work. If I would not have prepaid for these 2 room I would have gone to another property. These owners need to make repairs as needed and hotels.com should give people like myself a refund so that we could go to a different property.

The bed and room was lovely and clean, the water was hot, the WiFi was stable. Ground floor room was convenient parking out the front of our room was a bonus. The only let-down for this stay was the breakfast, cereal and honey buns with coffee and juice, but it was ok. Good value stay

This place was a dump. Lobby was locked so you checked in at a small room with no air conditioner. People barely spoke English. Ice machine was broken as well as tv. Pool was filthy. Just overall a bad place. No breakfast but i would not have eaten it anyway.

The bed and the pillows were uncomfortable. Both were too firm and it was hard to sleep properly without having any back or neck pain in the morning. Other than that, parking and where the motel is located is very convenient.

Dirty no clean towels stains roof was leaking roaches no fresh sheets random ppl sitting outside blasting music cig burn in sheet no house keeping say breakfast but it wasn’t

The hotel “looked” clean, the room “looked” clean, but the tub was not. It had dirt and hair in it. The bottoms of my feet and socks got rather dark. They left a dirty rag on the shower rod and the tub would not drain well, either. The bed was on a metal spring frame and squeaked at any movement. We have definitely stayed in worse and in better. We did not ask for a new room bc it was just one night. Probably won’t stay there again. The service was meh, he would not give me a receipt bc he said I booked online and they had a receipt, but I paid there, so nope. At least there were not any bed bugs or other bugs. Another patron was trying to get a refund for mold to go elsewhere and the service would not give it. Our room was somewhat dated, but we did not have mold that I saw. Our stay was average, not worth what we paid per night.

Shower had dirt or mud on wall when I went in. Floor had hole in front of door. The chair in the room should have been discarded a long time ago. The room smelled funny. Very dissatisfied.

The linens were clean but the bathroom tub was not. The tub had what looked like dog hair in it. The door frame looked as if it had “been repaired” but very hastily and not well done.

Tv didn’t work, no WiFi, air conditioner very noisy with constant rattling noises, electrical outlet for coffee pot didn’t work. Room hadn’t been cleaned very well, over all condition of the room is poor. This place needs to be refurbished, I will not stay here again on my next trip to Picayune Ms

I’ve never owned or managed a hotel or motel, and I’m sure there’s endless hazards & hurdles along the way. However, we booked a room for 4 nights at 8pm on a Sunday before Thanksgiving after flying in from Arizona and finding our original place was still under construction. There’s gotta be over 100 rooms and we saw max 2-4 other vehicles, so lots of vacancies. At first glance our 2nd story King Bed room seemed “okay enough” considering. Exhausted, we checked for bed bugs (there were none) then settled in and went right to bed. First thing the next morning we went to shower and discovered BLACK MOLD covering the wall behind the bathroom door and throughout the bathroom ceiling. Immediately contacted Hotels.com with a half dozen pictures, who then worked with the property owner. The property owner REFUSED, absolutely refused, to refund our stay (any amount of our stay) since we didn’t notify him at the time of entering the room. This is a horrible reason. It was 9pm now and we weren’t exactly thinking of inspecting every inch of our room before sleeping. Not even a penny was offered back. Instead the only offer from this Super 8 was to change rooms to one with 2 beds. Defeated, we agreed. My spouse is 6’6” and I’m 5’8” so we slept separately and joked about the toe nail clipping on the floor, and if it was blood or ketchup on the walls. Granted the charge was only $200 total, but we ate it and left Tuesday AM and booked at the Holiday Inn down the road. Better everything.

The bathroom was disgustingly dirty. We had to clean mold off bathtub before showering. We had already traded rooms that had water pouring from ceiling above bathtub in first assigned room.

Horrible stay. The icing on the cake as well was the front desk not answering the phone at all at any time of the day. Even when you walked to the lobby, the man behind the desk wore an earpiece having a conversation with whomever was on the other line as well as yourself. The entire interaction was unbelievably rude and unprofessional, to say the least. On the day of check out, the power had went out for a few hours, and the massive heat wave seeping in from outside woke us up. Sheets and blankets (not pictured) had hair all over. The picture of the floor shows a massive indentation. The floor underneath is either rotted or very damaged because of how soft and deep it was when stepped on. At the top of the stairs (our room was on the top floor), there was a huge amount of dead bugs scattered all over the ground. The room in general was also so dirty and disgusting in general. Do yourselves a favor and stay anywhere, but here!! It’s honestly better to sleep in your vehicle!!

The only thing we had an issue with was the heater not working great.

This property is run down, dingy, with junk around the property and outside of doorways, and you have to call a phone number on the door so that someone will wake-up to let you in the building for check-in. There were multiple parties going on until all-hours, and while I'm all in favor of a good party with music, I would prefer to get sleep on a business trip, and have others keep their music to themselves. While it wasn't the worst place I've had to stay in while on the road, it is certainly not what I would expect from Super 8 by Wyndham.

This is an older property, the owners have done a good job updating the rooms. The bed was very comfortable, the towels were thick. Flooring has been replaced with vinyl. Room included a coffee pot, single serve, refrigerator and microwave. Very satisfied with our stay, especially with the price.

It wasn’t as quiet as I like & the curtains didn’t block the light out enough for me but overall it was good. Would stay here again.

My wife and I will never visit Picyune MS again. The motel was freezing because there was a huge gap around the door where it wasn't mounted properly. There was a artic cold front that blew through during our stay. The water wasn't even hot. I got a lukewarm shower in a room that was the same temperature as the outside. We were pretty much trapped in the motel because there were no Uber, Lyft or even a Taxi in that town after 6 pm. We were lucky to get an Uber to the train station the following day. It was freezing once again and the train station was closed so we were trapped in the weather for 9 hours waiting for the train to arrive.

The motel was relatively clean. There were approximately 50 or so mexicans staying there and had mariachi party till 2: 30 am. Told the manager the next mornong he claims he didn't hear them thats's BS the whole city of Picayune, Ms heard them

Honestly, I was to tired to care about much. I was on a business trip and found the Super 8 in the area I was servicing and booked it at a great price. The bed was very comfortable and I slept like a rock. It was quiet so that was also appreciated. It worked for me and I'll stay again when in the area.

The property was dated but clean and was a good value for the cost, overall. However, neighbors on both sides of us had a party in the parking lot with LOUD music and laughter until 11 pm 2 of the 3 nights of our stay. The bed was clean but most uncomfortable. We probably will choose another hotel for our next stay.

Clean rooms and very friendly and accommodating owners and staff.

After a long hard day of work out on the road it's nice to be welcomed with a smile. Not my first stay with this hotel. I always try to book here when I'm in the area. Comfortable and quiet everytime so I'm guaranteed a good nights sleep. Rooms are very accommodating with frig, microwave, coffee pot. Price is reasonable too.

Terrible service and people next door were haveing loud music and nothing was told to them. The shower was broken and the door wouldnt open. I regret staying there.

The sink in our room was broken. You did not have water. Changed rooms and the dirty rag my husband used they folded and put back on the rack in the bathroom. The people were not very friendly and we lefted. Paid to stay a night and left after 30 minutes. Didn't get a refund.

It was quiet, checking in was easy. Coffee was cold and breakfast was…well I left and went to a donut shop because of the lack of anything.
